Icon is sized incorrectly after updating latest from a published library.Detaching the instance fixes the offset, but is obviously no longer a component.Similarly I have a progress bar that is not obeying its fill and goes beyond its frame. Detaching the instance fixes it.It even affects text. Very frustrating to have a bunch of my instances in other design files break every time I publish an update from my master component library. The janky workaround I have found is to change the top level parent instance that these button instances are in to another component and then undo it. That seems to refresh it, but seems random as to which components it decides to break when I publish.I have cleared my desktop cache multiple times, repaired component connections, started over from a fresh file and nothing seems to fix it. There are no broken or invalid properties in my component library. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I try to use scope different variables bit I don't know why the scope isn't working 

I am trying to install connect my GitHub repository to code connect. After installing Figma on my GitHub, I get this error (see attached image).Can someone help me solve this problem? I tried in the past with another repository and I had any problems.

Hi Figma Team,I am stuck in the SheerID verification loop that many students have reported on this forum. I have been trying to verify my education account for several weeks and the situation has now become critical for my academic work.I am trapped in the verification cycle where I receive "Verification Limit Exceeded" errors. SheerID has now permanently closed two of my support tickets without providing any actual solution or alternative.I contacted education@figma.com several weeks ago without receiving a response, and I sent a follow-up email yesterday. I cannot access team collaboration features, which is preventing me from completing my university assignments this semester.Could someone from the Figma team please review my case and either manually verify my education status or provide an alternative verification method? Recently, it seems that now interacting with prototypes in the Notes view of presentation mode in Figma Slides does not reflect what the audience is seeing in their view of the presentation. I have to move my cursor away from my notes to the audiences view of the slides and interact with the prototype there. This seems like a bug to me. It was not performing this way last week. Additionally, another update that seems to have happened at the same time is that prototypes in Slides load automatically and do not need to be clicked on to load, this is OK, but in my use case, i wanted 2 prototypes on the screen at once (Before & After versions), and having them load at the same time causes confusion. Having an option to load immediately or start on click would be helpful.

Yes I know this topic has been raised before, but I would like to raise it again, since it is breaking the core interaction in my design system. Is Figma even aware of this issue? Since the last discussion about it is ~2years ago, and this issue still exists. Steps: Create a Button component set with 2 variants: Default, On Press Add interactions in the variant: “Default” → While pressing → Change to “On Press” Insert an instance of the “Default” button into a new Frame Add interactions to the button: On Click → Open overlay. Check the “Close when clicking outside” box. Test the prototype Results When you click the button, the button change to “On Press”, the overlay opens, but when clicking outside the overlay to close it, the button does not reset back to “Default”. Expected: The button should reset to “Default”.

I am having the same issue and I have emailed figma education on Thursday and they still have not responded. I emailed sheer id 5 times and they also have closed the ticket without resetting the verification limit. I sent another email to education@figma.com today and still no response. I was using my school email for class and now I am unable to edit any of my school files. I have been waiting for months for a response and resolution. I have the proper documents ready to upload. I was verified before and now I can not do anything. 

Hi ,I’m a graduate student and I’m unable to reverify my students account. Each time i try to verify it says i exceeded my limit. I also tried SheerId multiple times but i get a standard reply saying  “Hello,Thanks for contacting SheerID.We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed. “ I also tried mailing figma education weeks ago but i have’nt heard back from either. Kindly help me resolve this issue!

I seem to have hit a wall with Figma Make.  At first it wouldn’t update the preview unless I closed the desktop app and reopened it. Now it doesn’t implement any of the prompted changes.  I’ve tried resetting the app and clearing the cache. One possible explanation is that the prototype is for a complex, productiviity tool.  Any other suggestions for troubleshooting. 

Hey Figma team,I wanted to report a problem that’s been bugging our team for the past few months. We have an Icon Library in our design system, as well as a separate glyph library. These icons are used in different sizes across the product (16px, 24px, etc.). The master components of each icon and glyph contain elements which are all set to ‘scale’.However, within our larger components, whenever we want to swap an instance of an icon with a different one from our library, the scaling (of dimensions, stroke width, and border radius) is not properly applied, resulting in a broken view. One example is:We have a nested icon component scaled to 16x16px; We replace the instance with another icon from either library (original component of which is 24x24 but all elements set to scale) and expect it to scale properly to the 16x16 dimensions. However, the swapped icon appears broken in terms of the scale of elements inside, stroke width and border radius; We have to resort to a workaround like:

Hi! Figma Buzz seems to have changed it´s behavior when it comes to bulk creation. Here´s my workflow:design a template graphic in Figma Design with placeholder text copy it over to Buzz import CSV file bulk create Figma Buzz used to create all assets in one new row. So let´s say: my template was in row 1, then bulk create would place all graphics in row 2.But since about maybe 1-2 month (starting Sept./Oct. 2025) it places each graphic in a separate row – which is a pain in the a**.

I’m sure that the page is extended to include the entire design content of my pages, but when I publish, some of them are fully viewable and others I can’t scroll to the bottom of them! Sometimes it’s just a little bit, and other times it’s a good 200px worth of content. I’ve tried different browsers and it’s consistent across them.

I deleted a project a few days ago and would like to restore it. I’m not sure exactly how long it’s been, and when I search for it, no results appear, which suggests it may already be deleted. However, I never received any warning about its permanent removal. How can I check if the project is still available to restore?

We encountered a problem. After designing the UI in Figma, we tried to import it into Unity using the UnityUI plugin, but the plugin kept loading and the import failed. Hello, I am currently enrolled in Professional Google UX Design course, I am using Figma free education plan, which I verified using the Coursera guide, and I contacted the Coursera team for the re-verification process, but they were negative, saying they do not have the capability to directly re-verify your status for third-party services like Figma. As in the midst of the course, I have a lot to finish my projects. So, please help me to re-verify. 

I have tried many times to verify my student account, however, each time it says that I have exceeded my limit for student plan. When I go back to old links, it says that they are expired and I need to try again. I have contacted SheerID a few times but they just get back to me with“We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Hi! I’m testing a site built with the new Figma Sites feature. I’ve set the top navigation bar as a sticky element and made sure it’s positioned at the very top of the layer tree. In the Layout panel, canvas stacking is set to “First on top.”Canvas stakcking settingsIt looks fine on Figma and Chrome(desktop & laptop)On Safari and mobile browsers, the sticky navigation bar appears underneath the hero section content, even though it’s set to be the topmost layer in the design.  On Chrome (desktop & laptop): everything works as intended — the GNB stays sticky and always remains on top. On Safari (desktop & laptop) and all mobile browsers (Safari & Chrome): the GNB is sticky, but appears underneath other layers and is partially or fully hidden.  Is there a workaround or fix for this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’ve noticed an issue with changing the font family in the variables modal. The font does not update across all pages and components automatically. The font can be changed to the correct family when double clicking on a text box. Cheers, Sanny

I have a tsx file that apparently has become so corrupt with duplicate code and other stuff figma had done, it no longer can use the file and wants to rebuild, but will lose a lot of functionality by doing this.  I was hoping a backup that figma must have someplace can be restored from?  If this was going to be an issue, then I would have downloaded copies myself.  I have to believe Figma keeps backups.  I only yesterdays backup restored.

I moved teams 8 months ago, and that required a workspace change. I thought files in my draft folder would come with me, but I seem to be missing all the files from my old team workspace, even though they were in my drafts. Can you please help?
