Question

Remove or close AI agent

PLEASE fix the bug that make the AI agent popover unable to be closed. I keep hitting the button accidentally and there is no way to close or exit it unless I close the tab and re-open.

Hey ​@nick.aba, welcome to Figma Forum and thank you for flagging this.

If it’s the on-canvas prompt that keeps popping up, you can turn it off from Main menu → Preferences → Show AI Chat on canvas. More details are in this Figma Learn article: Work with the Figma agent in design files.

I’d also like to pass this along to the team. Could you reply with the following to help zero in on what’s happening?

  • Is this the on-canvas prompt box or the Agents panel in the left sidebar?
  • Do you see this happening in Figma Design, FigJam, Slides, or all of file types?
  • Does it happen in both the browser and the Figma Desktop App? If you’re using the app, check About Figma for a pending update and let me know if updating helps.
  • If you can capture the behavior in a screen recording, please share that too.
