Context I have multiple libraries enabled. Using the desktop application for Mac. Problem Occasionally, searching in the component panel shows this image. Infuriating, because I know I have libraries enabled. I need to click to “Layers”, then click “Assets” again and the components load. This happened multiple times while I was working on a file.

When I try using the pen tool to draw a line inside a frame with autolayout, the vector node gets placed wayyyy outside the frame, at a seemingly random point.

Hi Figma Community, I’m facing a significant issue after a recent update where drafts must now belong to a team. I moved all my drafts to a personal team, and now, a project I had published in the Figma Community has been deleted. I no longer have access to it, and it no longer appears on my community profile. This project had thousands of duplicates, and it seems I’ve lost it completely. I do not wish to republish it; I want to recover it with all the comments and likes it had before. Attached is a screenshot of what appears when I try to open an old notification for the project: This is the Draft Could someone help me resolve this issue? Thank you.

1. Describe the bug/issue you’re running into? It’s not possible to copy and paste when you create a line. Also glitching when drawing a line. And moving the line. 2. Are you able to consistently reproduce it? If so what are the steps? As simple as creating a new line and duplicating it. 3. Share a screenshot, recording, console log, link to the file, etc. 4. Is the issue only happening in desktop app or a specific browser , or both? Both 5. What OS/version and/or browser/version are you using? Big Sur and Chrome Version 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build)

Hi, So I am trying to create an icon that can be resized within another component. To do this, I have made 4 variable modes, so that the icon will scale to the set sizes. This all works fine with the main component itself, but when a duplicate or an instance of the component is placed, it does not work and I don’t understand why not. See video example… Can anyone help me please?

Hi, I’m experiencing something that seems to be a bug with Styles vs. Variables. I have bunch of components that are imported from a library with color variables (no colors styles involved). Problem is when I am selecting one of them ‘Selection colors’ shows a color style that imitates applied background color variable and there’s no such style anywhere. See example, ‘Background/background_sidebar’ variable is applied to ‘Sidebar’ component (imported from library) and is reflected in ‘Fill’, but ‘Selection colors’ show one another ‘Style’ called ‘Background/background.sidebar’. Overall these Styles that you see in the screenshot, do not exist in this file, neither in the library. Sooo, how do I get rid of these annoying ‘ghost styles’? Thanks!

Hi, we need to publish a plugin quickly, but we are stuck with this notice: As per the manifest documentation, it shows that the ‘documentAccess’ field is optional. We do not want to use the dynamic page loading feature for now. How can we publish the plugin without enabling the dynamic page loading APIs for the Plugin ?

When I select an auto-layout attribute (gap, or padding) with a variable applied, in the dropdown I see the current value highlighted which is amazing. Tho, that doesn’t happen when I want to change the radius. When I click on the radius value, the dropdown highlights the first value in the list which is incorrect. It would be nice if Radius would be consistent with how the layout properties work and would highlight the selected value in the dropdown. Thank you!

So we used to be able to reset the name of text layers (so that they automatically are naemd after their content) by simply deleting the name. Now Figma has removed the ability to do this. Has anyone found another way to reset the name, or are all my layers now ruined?

I created two modes (Light and Dark) with semantic tokens in my library and applied them to all the components. According to the Figma documentation, the most left column of the Variables settings page is the default mode. https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/15343816063383-Modes-for-variables#h_01HMD3VBSV4SD76PH8BVZY8Z13 But in my library some components show light mode by default and some components show dark mode by default. How to solve the problem and make the all default mode as light?

everything I do in Figma I have to redo in different files ten times, because the program works crookedly, and many basic functions about 10 edits stupidly break, and I am forced to create frames and triggers in them again, instead of releasing some better cursors on the program, finally work in such a way that you can create complex interfaces, and projects do not break after some time of editing, thanks you look stupid when instead of improving the basic functionality you create some kind of cursors

The custom Figma mouse pointer looks nasty when you use a larger than default system pointer size (on Mac at least). Resolutions and screen sizes have just gotten bigger and bigger while the pointer has stayed the same size, so these days the default size is ridiculously small… Which is why I always enlarge it.

Hi all, In short, I’ve shared the prototype and some people viewing it are reporting fonts are much bolder and even aligned incorrectly (left vs. centred) on elements using the same component. While everything displays fine for others. All in Chrome, on Mac. Due to NDA, I can’t screenshot this. As mentioned, they all use the same component. So there should be no differences other than the content - and there isn’t in my Figma file or when viewing the prototype. So makes no sense why it would be different for anyone else? At first I thought this was just down to caching but I’ve shared the prototype link with 3 people who haven’t viewed the project before. And 1 didn’t get the issue, the other 2 did. To add to the mystery, I asked a designer to go into the Figma file and they’re seeing the issue in the file. So in a grid of 5 products using the same component. Some text is bold and larger. I ran the plugin Lorem Ipsum, then the plugin Unsplash and then pressed the shortcut Cmd + Option + P, which resulted in Figma opening the Unsplash plugin but showing the top and bottom divs from Lorem Ipsum

Hello community, I am currently using Figma’s variable feature to design different mode products in project. However, I have encountered some issues when switching between different modes. The specific problems are as follows: Components not applying correctly: When switching modes, many components do not correctly apply the respective variable, resulting in inconsistent designs across different modes. Mode conflicts: There are frequent mode conflicts when switching between different modes, leading to design errors or incomplete displays. These issues significantly impact my workflow and experience and could not figure out whats the problem. And the error message shows up is not helpful what is going on? After the recent update (I’m using beta version 124.1.1), some assets take too long to show when presenting a prototype. The same issue occurs on the stable version (not beta). I have this component with an icon and a label. On the prototype file they appear ok: But when presenting, the same icons don’t load. Some have a light-grey box instead. The same component has interaction state, and they are also not working. The click works and opens what it is supposed to open, but the appearance does not change. Tried reloading, clearing the cache and logging in again. Nothing works. The presentation page had to be opened for over 5 minutes, and if I reload the file, it resets, and the presentation needs another 5 minutes to load the icon. I also tried looking for similar posts about this recently and couldn’t find.

Hello guys, I have these two weird bugs. 1-When creating a new page, press the “+” icon then the pages area scrolls all the way up, it doesn’t matter which page I am on. 2-When I try to edit a page name, previously when I double click a page name and it’s immediately highlighted to change/edit naming. But now it’s not highlighted. Now I need double click for double click 😃 Here is a video

I would like to publish a plugin but I get the error shown above when I try to do so. Unfortunately, the error message is not specified and I have no idea where in the plugin code an error could be present. In my IDE there are neither problem messages nor error messages. Does anyone know this problem and might have a solution?
