Description When I update a font family variable in my design system (e.g., changing FontPrimary in the brand collection), the text on some pages doesn't visually reflect the new font. The change does apply, but the new font only renders after I double click or otherwise interact with the text. Until then, the old font appears on canvas. This issue seems to affect styles that use font variables indirectly through alias collections and text styles. Steps to Reproduce Create a font family variable in a brand collection (e.g., FontPrimary = DM Sans). Reference this font variable in an alias collection that defines type scales. Apply those variables via Text Styles across multiple pages in the file. Change the value of FontPrimary to a different font (e.g., Inter). Observe: some pages update correctly, but others still show the old font. Double click on text on the affected pages — it instantly updates to the correct new font. Hi, I’ve noticed an issue with changing the font family in the variables modal. The font does not update across all pages and components automatically. The font can be changed to the correct family when double clicking on a text box. Cheers, Sanny

When sharing a link to a page in Figma to a viewer, we have recently experienced that the viewer can not see the updates made by the designer when the reviewer is revisiting the page via the link the day after?It’s creating a lot of frustrations when you think the viewer is seeing the same thing as the designer is, but they can’t see the updates that have been made since last.We have not noticed this earlier. Is there a fix for it? We have also experienced that the updates made by one designer (in the most recent case a new page added in a file) was not visible to another designer until the other designer reopened the file. This causing great frustrations when designers working together online on the same project.

I am working with a colleague and some local variables simply do not update in the design when she is entering new values in the local variables window. Some do, some don’t. I on the other hand are able to update all variables with no issue. Both are using latest Figma Version via App. Only difference she is working on Windows, I am on Mac.

I have a brand font installed but it’s not rendering any punctuation correctly e.g. “ ? ! & all become generic and off-brand. They’re very distinctive and look obviously wrong but the font is fine in Adobe. How can I continue to use Figma for design and solve this issue, I don’t want to move into Adobe, it’s going to slow my process down SO much and I’ve invested so much time into building out my design system. I am part of three different “edu” teams under the same account, and I received a message stating that my Education access is expiring in 2 weeks. However, the message doesn’t specify which team.From what I understand, the plan applies per team, not per account. Has anyone run into the same situation? How do you check which team is affected? Hey Figma team, I wanted to report a problem that’s been bugging our team for the past few months. We have an Icon Library in our design system, as well as a separate glyph library. These icons are used in different sizes across the product (16px, 24px, etc.). The master components of each icon and glyph contain elements which are all set to ‘scale’. However, within our larger components, whenever we want to swap an instance of an icon with a different one from our library, the scaling (of dimensions, stroke width, and border radius) is not properly applied, resulting in a broken view. One example is: We have a nested icon component scaled to 16x16px; We replace the instance with another icon from either library (original component of which is 24x24 but all elements set to scale) and expect it to scale properly to the 16x16 dimensions. Not really sure how to log this because I don’t think it’s a question, and it’s not really worth having a conversation around, but I’m noticing this ‘dead space’ on the effects and stroke panel. I’ve restarted my Figma file + app multiple times but it doesn’t change anything. The only thing that fixes is it if I scroll up in the right panel… as if there’s an imaginary square blocking me from clicking the `+` button. This isn’t working on my other computer, so it’s confusing but also annoying.

The interaction tooltip is failing to show up in the prototype panel when clicking on an interaction. The issue is happening consistently for me when there have two or more interactions on a frame. When there is only one interaction on the frame, the properties panel does correctly show the interaction tooltip.

Heyyy, Both in Figma Make and Figma Sites, the TXT DNS Records are not getting verified quickly. The CNAME Records instantly update and sync, but the TXT doesn’t update even after 48 hours. One of my first Figma Sites got published, but beyond that none of my other sites or Make Websites are getting laucnhed or connected to the domain due to TXT DNS Record verification delay

In the past, I would create a component, and then could select the individual text layers to add text properties to them. As of yesterday, when I create a component, I can only apply text properties by creating them on the component, and then selecting the text layer and applying the property. This is a lot slower than my previous workflow. Is this a bug? Is this intended functionality as part of an update? Is the ability to create text properties directly on text layers still there and I’m just missing it? Thanks for your help!

When using auto layout some of the images/modules can be located at an odd X or Y orientation such as 102.03. When this is the case the image exports as an odd number, it appears to be 150px tall in Figma but on export becomes 150.5px. The position of an element should NOT affect the size of an image on export. This is causing major issues for our team and having to manually edit each image or drag each image out of layout to save out.

Hi everyone, I’m having a problem and could really use some help. Background:I’m working in a large Figma file — it's overloaded with information, and Figma keeps suggesting that I should offload the file. I’m using Variables extensively (light/dark theme). Here’s the issue:When I export components to another file (as a Figma Library), all components, colors, etc., are transferred. BUT the most important part — Variables — are not. If I create Variables manually or transfer them using a plugin, the system doesn't recognize or link them. It treats them as completely separate, unlinked variables. The situation:I transferred a component via the Figma Library into another file. All the colors were exported, but not the Variables. Then I exported Variables via a plugin and tried to update a color inside the component — but the system doesn’t recognize the Variables at all. It's like they are totally disconnected. Please help — I really need to fix this.

My admin gave me full editor access on the company’s shared workspace but I’m still getting an error message saying “Limited Access: To create new files, switch to a plan where you’re a full member”. Is there any way to get full access? I’ve logged out and logged back in, restarted my figma on browser and application, and deleted my cache.

Text weirdly breaks within words when scaling a textfield. It’s plain text with no editing or line breaks, however text breaks within words or lines. Anyone else having this problem?

Figma Buzz is currently in beta. For those who are using it for experimentation there is a bug that does not allow us to insert our project files within Figma Buzz dashboards. The bug only allows shows public files from the Figma community but does not show your own local files, making it impossible to import. Workaround: to make the choice menu appear to select our local content to use in the dashboards just close the “templates” window by clicking on the “X” and reopen it again. This will reset the “templates” side panel and reappear the submenu for choosing local files

Hello designers and Figma experts, I’m facing a problem with using Hindi fonts in Figma. I’ve installed proper .ttf/.otf Hindi fonts on my system, and they work fine in other apps like MS Word and Photoshop. However, when I apply the same font in Figma: The text doesn’t update to the selected Hindi font. It often defaults to some basic font or doesn’t reflect the change at all. 🔧 Things I’ve already tried: Restarted Figma and my system. Tried different Hindi fonts. Checked if fonts are installed correctly. Using Figma desktop app (also tried browser version). ❓Has anyone faced the same issue?
