I registered my user in educational figma, but even after confirmation my user is not as educational but on the free plan, how can I solve this? 

Hello,I’m working on a UI kit, and recently I noticed that a purple rectangle — similar to the one used for a component — appears on all my pages. It’s present everywhere, even on newly created pages, and it’s immovable and unselectable. When I hide another component on the same page, the rectangle disappears for about two seconds and then comes back.This is quite annoying, and I don’t know how to fix the issue. I’ve already checked several forums and your documentation but haven’t been able to find a solution.I hope you’ll be able to help me out! 

Hi,The Auto Layout settings section has disappeared from the right-hand panel in the desktop version of the app.I’ve thoroughly checked the entire panel, and the Auto Layout section is definitely missing.I then opened the web version, and everything is there — the section appears as usual.So technically, Auto Layout is working: the text inside behaves as expected, and I see the notification that Auto Layout was created. But the controls for it are missing from the right panel in the desktop version.Could you please help?Thanks in advance!

I am being charged for an additional full seat, however I cannot assign it to anyone without being charged an additional 20 dollars. In simple words—I have 1 extra full seat which I cannot assign to anyone. The chatbot is of no help. Very frustrating.

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed that Figma released their AI features over a year ago, and I was able to use them previously in my company’s Figma account. However, I’m not able to access these AI features on my personal account.Since the features are no longer in beta, I’m unsure why they aren’t available to me. Could this be related to account type, plan restrictions, or region availability? Has anyone else faced a similar issue, and is there any way to enable AI features on my account?Any guidance would be appreciated.Thanks in advance!

I have a design system Figma file with styles and components which are shared to another file.I created new styles and components in the Design System file and published the changes (I could see them in the list of updates).These new styles and components are not updating in my second file. I’ve read and tried all the community suggestions and nothing fixes the issue.Please help!  The whole purpose of shared [published] styles is for them to sync and auto-update in all associated douments

I just had a call with my dev where we realized he couldn’t see a style effect (shadow) I had added to an element, being in dev mode. It shows a filter. He had to go to design mode to see the style.We don’t get why, the whole point of dev mode is to communicate these things?Now we’re worried about how many times other devs with only dev mode might have missed styles, only seeing the raw values.Seems to be be connected with this, from 2024?By the way the number of “related topics” with all kinds of styles/tokens/variables not showing in dev mode is also worrying. 

I’m facing an issue with my published design system in Figma and would appreciate any help or insights.I’ve created a separate design system file that includes components and variables, and it has been published successfully. I’ve linked this published library to other Figma files, but the colors from the design system are not appearing correctly in the list or grid view within those files.Here’s what I’ve already tried based on suggestions:Re-publishing the design system file Re-linking the library in the affected files Checking for naming conflicts or duplicate styles Ensuring all styles are properly defined and published Clearing Figma cache and restarting the appDespite these efforts, the issue persists. If the published color variables don’t show up properly, it defeats the purpose of having a centralized system.Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround? After transferring files from another account and confirming ownership, the files have been deleted. on 4th Oct. Please can the files be recovered from the account and restored to the new account.This is very important to my work. This is the file I need to recover or alternatively recover the account that was deleted. I’m having issues with typing out text on the file canvas for the chrome desktop and browser app. Guessing it’s not a font issue since it’s inter.  Not a bounding or frame issue since I’m typing it straight onto the file canvas. No issues when I type it into an art board, within another layer/frame or have a background behind it. It’s like the file canvas has “hidden” frames that the text hides behind (see image). If you zoom in and out you can find a level where it is visible like normal, but if I were to adjust the zoom just a little bit it turns invisible again. I can’t see the text written when I select the area either.  I’ve tried restarting the desktop app without any success. Not sure if it’s an issue with the Asus model I’m using since it seems to work fine on my stationary chromebook at work. 

I worked on a figma project named “Lovely Mind”, the last time I worked on it was in April/2025, I turned on Figma and checked on it once in a while, I’ve never turn off the working tab. Im having issues publishing my library. I reloaded the page and tried publishing it again and had no luck, but I see that there is no issues on the figma status, what could be happening.  

Anyone experience same thing and help me?so the mirror feature on figma app android stuck on "you're offline" but my internet connection is normal. I already try all of tips, trick and sugesstion on Gemini AI but it still can't load the mirror. Thanks  

Dear support Figma team.I have noticed that after last update my Figma app made my draft file is missing. I know the name of the file and remember even the names of some pages inside, but I couldn’t find it at all. I have only one account and I have checked deleted files. It is not appearing anywhere. I definitely created in my drafts, and it has no teammates to delete it. Please help, how could I restore it or find it?

Figma Make are not using my library components attached. It only picked “generic” ones. Both with “Attach design” and using a full design system library file.

I’m creating a presentation within a Figma working file (not slides) where I am creating links to other pages and frames within the file. There are about a dozen links I’ve pasted into the file to take me to other places in the same file.  Every now and then when I click on one of the links, the entire Figma file reloads before taking me to the next page or frame. This is annoying because I want to smoothly walk through this file in a presentation.  it’s a fairly large file containing design explorations across many pages. Is there a way to prevent the reloading? It’s happening at random. 

HI,  Yesterday all of a sudden I couldn’t copy and paste vector shapes from Adobe illustrator to Figma anymore… When is copy from Illustrator the shape now changes to an image file instead of an SVG. I have restarted my Macbook restarted Figma and illustrator, run the latest update of Figma but nothing works. This really slows down my proces because I now have to export each vector and import it manually in Figma.Can someone please help me with this problem.

I’m on the annual plan, but I noticed several unexpected Collab seats being used. It seems someone invited others without my knowledge. Although I removed the seats as soon as I found out, I was still charged for them. To clarify the situation and prevent this from happening again, I’d like to know who added the seats and which accounts were using them. Is there any way to check this?

Hi,This is worrying to say the least. Components started vanshing while I was working. So all the items inside the component are gone, the main component doesn’t exist any more, and when I click the instance of the non-existing component, it doesn’t have a name. I tried bringing it back from previous versions, it’s gone in there as well.  

I have a repeatable pattern, where the source use a variable that has two modes; light and dark. The mode is set to auto (default: light) on the pattern frame itself. When the pattern is applied and I swap the mode in a frame from light to dark; everything changes, except from the pattern. In my case the pattern should have turned to a dark color. Is this a bug? A feature? And is there a workaround? Repeatable diagonal line pattern
