 I’m a student from a state university in India, and I’m facing issues getting verified for the Figma Education Plan. Firstly, I exceeded my limit to verify myself.So I reached out to both SheerID and Figma support, and after days of waiting, SheerId tells me that I cannot be verified unless I have a school-issued email. The problem is that my college does not provide a school email ID like many other institutions in India. I’ve already shared my student ID card with the team but i am being asked to come back with a student email id. The thing is how can i when not a single student in my university has a college email id. This new issue along with the entire verification limit exceed loop is just so exhausting.  Its just simply unfair that i wont be eligible for a student plan despite being a legit student just because i dont have a school-issued email id.  I genuinely request people @figma to consider other legit documents as proof, for those without a school email id. I have followed the MCP server setup instructions, and tried connecting the started server to Cursor. However, the connection is stuck in “Loading tools” as can be seen in the screenshot. I need a way forward!  

When I try to share the Figma Make file I get these exclamation icons next to the can edit dropdown menu and it says an admin must update this seat so they can edit but I added one of the people who have the exclamation icons next to their permissions to my team? And we’re all on educational accounts and I really need to be able to collaborate on the website we made to do our final T_T please help

I'm encountering an issue in Figma Make where I tried to undo changes by restoring previous versions.  However, each attempt results in a "reasoning" or "try again" notification, and nothing seems to change. I'm now stuck and unable to revert or move forward.Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions on how to resolve it or force a reset to a stable or even published version?

I’ve created a project in Figma, and it’s working fine—I can also view the React code. However, when I tried to export and run it on my local system, I noticed that a required file, package.json, is missing.Could you please guide me on how to properly run this project locally? I already have the necessary technologies installed on my system.

I was reviewing the Figma MCP server guide, and it mentions that the MCP Client can be requested by submitting details through the https://form.asana.com/?k=kBG-ejRQTdY8x_H6a4vM3Q&d=10497086658021 form.Could you kindly confirm if this is the correct process to obtain access to the MCP Client? I want to access the Figma MCP Server from our own Oauth client credentials. 

Greetings fellow Figma users! Last week I designed a social media post for a client using Montserrat as the main font. Today I was designing another one for them, so I copied the text boxes to another Frame. As soon as I selected them with the text editing tool the appearance of the font changed.These are all NOT locally installed Google fonts, so it might be related to an update on the library of Google fonts, or Figma’s for that matter. I tried to verify this with the Way Back Machine, although the website snapshots aren’t loading properly. Has anyone identified something like this before? if so, how can it be fixed?Thanks in advance! 😁 The image shows 2 groups of texts written with the typeface “Montserrat”, exemplifying how its appearance changed from October the 1st to the 11th, 2025. 

Hello Figma,I’m a student at the University of California, Irvine. I’ve been stopped by SheerID’s verification process over and over, and I use Figma for school and work-- so this has been a pretty big issue. I entered all my details, but was told to retry until it said it exceeded. I filed a ticket with SheerID.  SheerID closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” There seems to be no other solution but to contact them. This loop has been quite irritating. Please reach out to me soon so I can quickly amend this issue.

Hey everyone,I’ve been testing a custom React component on a Figma Site (built with Figma’s new code components / figma:react), and I’m having trouble tracking clicks with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).Here’s what I’ve done so far: Added my GA4 Measurement ID (e.g. G-XXXXXXX) in Site settings → Analytics Confirmed that the gtag script is loading properly (I can see gtag() in the console) Added a simple component that fires an event on click: if (window.gtag) { window.gtag("event", "cta_button_click", { content_type: "cta_button", button_text: "Get Started", }); } The console shows the log correctly on click, but nothing appears in GA4 → Realtime → Events or DebugView. It feels like the event is being called in a sandboxed context where analytics can’t actually send data out — maybe due to how Figma Sites handle scripts or iframes?Has anyone managed to successfully track custom GA4 events inside Figma Sites yet?If yes, how did you make it work? I have tried verifying 10+ times, I have contacted SheerID and they say the image of my government ID is not “Clear” I have tried uploading images of it as clear as possible, I have uploaded digital copy of the id straight from government portal and still that is not “clear’’I have run out of verification limit twice, The only prerequisite of being a student is College mail and college ID SheerID cant even verify that. education@figma.com was of no help either. Said that only sheerID can help.

Hello Figma Team,I’m a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (Graphic and Web Design, expected graduation 2027). For my coursework, I need access to a project in Figma that my professor invited me to. Unfortunately, I’ve been completely blocked by SheerID’s broken verification process.Here’s what happened: I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.). SheerID didn’t respond for days and then simply closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” I offered multiple times to provide documents (passport, student ID, enrollment confirmation), even to join a video call - they just ignored this. I have reached out to Figma support several times, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” But what am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests?   This is absolutely unprofessional behavior on SheerID’s side. If I have an element under an absolute in the layout, I can click on the element under that absolute, which is very annoying. I have multiple simultaneous clicks in my prototype.

Hi! Has the canvas panning keyboard shortcuts changed recently? I use Ctrl+Space+scroll wheel to pan and zoom the canvas but now that keyboard shortcut puts me into a Keyboard picking mode. Is this new? It really gets in the way of working.

Hi. I’m currently participating in a online bootcamp/school. The bootcamp admins asked for re-verification for all of us students but it’s still in the proces from Figma’s side. (Same as support tickets from the teachers)I tried to submit a support ticket myself, but was told to write here as I’m a student and don’t have a paid plan yet, so no direct support for me 😥The problem:Some of us students have warning that the education status has expired just on the left panel, some of us have it in yellow at the top panel and I myself and few other students are fully "locked" out of our homeworks and can only view thgem without being ablet do rest of them on time to get our marks.  We have last 10 days of our bootcamp and can’t finish it.Is there any way how to sort that kind of a problem? Thanks~

I’ve been working on a branch for some time and just went to merge it back into master but there’s no option to do so?  I’ve also realised that if i try to copy anything from the branch it doesn’t copy into a new figma file at all, neither can I copy into this branch from master or another figma file either. It’s like the branch itself is no longer there but it does appear in the list of all branches still… I can’t even create a new branch and copy it all over and merge it that way as it doesn’t let me copy the elements!  Has anyone come across this same issue?   

In Figma Slides, when navigating to Grid view, you are able to configure the Page color. But when doing so, nothing changes. The background of the canvas remains #F5F5F5. It would be helpful to be able to differentiate the color of your slides from the background if the slide background is also #F5F5F5 (or a similar light grey).

Hey,I wanted to upgrade my plan to a Professional plan, but I constantly ran into this problem with the billing address and telling me that my country does not support the currency.I filled in the credit card details and my billing address correctly. For context purposes, I live in the netherlands and pay in euros like everyone else and my credit card details are correct. I re-tried it multiple times. I find it weird to come along such a problem. Could I get help with this? 

All of our team members are facing issue in using figjam related to Memory issues asking to open in recovery mode only.We never faced this issue ever in Miro would really appreciate if there is an hack for this, tried multiple ways but can’t find the option to reduce memory.
