We’re experiencing an issue with the #get_image tool in MCP. While it appears to retrieve the image successfully, the image does not render correctly in the actual implementation. This issue did not occur in the early stages of using MCP. Has there been any known issue or update related to this?  

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing in Sketch on my desktop, and I upload those files to Figma for collaboration. What I’d like to do is upload a new version of a Sketch file over an existing Figma file — essentially replacing the old file without creating a new one each time.Does Figma allow direct overwriting of files from Sketch, or is there a workaround or recommended approach for keeping the file updated in the same Figma location without duplicating or manually transferring everything each time.Thanks!

While working on a file, when I collapse all layers (OPT+L), it seems like Figma starts syncing the file, which makes it extremely slow for a few moments. I didn’t have this problem in the past.

Hello,we have a huge issue with slots in our design system. From one day to the other, without any reason our slots in components are treated like they have been overridden (e.g. border color, bg color, ...). Those styles are then inherited to swapped components. You can be 100% sure that we didn’t customise the slots and all components have been tested extensively before, so why do they now have overrides? Where do the come from? What has changed in Figma?The only solution is to go through all components in the system and reset the slots. Honestly Figma should save time not add additional work on our shoulders … Hope you can help us to find out what is causing this issue in Figma and how we can prevent such things in the future. Attached you find a file showing the problem.ThxHarald

I understand the limitations of support for Starter accounts, but I'm reaching out again because this is not a minor issue — a critical file I worked on for months has disappeared without explanation! It's not in Trash, wasn’t deleted, and no team was removed. The file simply vanished, and I’m left without a trace except for a screenshot of the design. This is deeply frustrating!I had been seriously considering upgrading to a paid plan, but this lack of support in a time of real need has made me lose trust in your platform. I’ll now be exploring other providers who offer more reliable service and accountability.Please escalate this message internally. Losing user data without any accountability is not acceptable.

Previously, clicking on the blank area could directly fill in the color. Now, I have to click the “+” button, which greatly reduces the interaction area. What was the thinking behind this? Can it be changed back?

Hi, I have a component with an animation in it that runs automatically (after delay). When I use an instance of my component in a Figma slide, it only animates the first time the slide opens. I want it to run everytime the slide opens. Can this be done somehow?

Hi, I just noticed an issue with merging a branch to main file. I am trying to merge as usual, the main file updates for few moments but after that if reloads back to the state before merging. The branch is not taged and not archived. I tried to create merge branch on another file and new branch on the same file and both merged with out a problem. So not sure if this is a problem with size of the file or branch, some conflicts (none pops up), or with whatever else. Anyone had similar issue or know the solution? Thanks in advance, Cheers,

Hi, is there a way in Figma to create an inner gradient (or blend)? It should go from 100% to 0% opacity like this example. 

When you create a navigation frame link you see a list of the pages you can link to. Often you might have some template or alternative designs on the PAGE to keeps nice links for easy swap in/out, but unforunately you then get this:Contact Contact - Simple Version Contact - Column Version Contact - Alternative Simple Contact - xxxas you an see there could potentially be dozens of frames to link to all starting with Contact. Start typing is gone?Previously you could start typing, e.g. “CON” and then it will select the first match, however, I’m not sure when it happened but you can’t do that anymore, as soon as you type the charcters, those are now interpreted as commands, so you might might end up changing to drawing mode, or jumpin to the parent component becuase of the hotkeys you pressed. Add a search/filter?If we can’t have this type to filter behaviour back, please at least add a filter search box at the top of the page selection, so we can at least filter by CON - which will show

I use Figma in view only mode for work and for no reason now when I hover over a property variable the actual value of the variable doesn’t show anymore. I’ve only seen one other forum post talk about this from 9 months ago and the figma rep said it was fixed in an update. I restarted my laptop and installed figma desktop, but the problem persists. Does anyone know if there is any fix to this.

Hello everyone,I’ve stumbled upon a rather frustrating issue when exporting frames to JPG — and I wonder if anyone has experienced the same, or has a clue where to dig.When I export a frame to JPG (doesn’t matter whether it’s @1x, @2x, or @3x), I keep seeing strange artifacts. Specifically: it looks as if some pixels shift places — like tiny glitches — and what’s most odd, they appear in different places depending on the export scale.All positions of my artboard and all the objects inside the frame are aligned to whole numbers (e.g., 2412 instead of 2412.54). I double-checked all coordinates — no fractions hiding anywhere.Yet, the exported JPG shows these random pixel-level misalignments, and it’s making me a little… poetic with frustration.Has anyone else encountered this? Could this be a rendering bug, or am I missing something subtle?Looking forward to your thoughts and wisdom — and may your pixels stay aligned.Thank you!upd. I noticed this problem on Windows, but not on Mac... 

Hi, I have a question about a variable/component I created. I’ve set up a condition where, when the toggle or switch is turned on, the dropdown menu becomes enabled, and when the toggle or switch is turned off, the dropdown menu becomes disabled.However, I noticed that when I turn the toggle off, the selected item in the dropdown resets to its default value. Why is this happening? Before [Condition Switch is OFF]After Switch to Active After [Condition Switch is ON] 

How can I fix the problem where some parts of the image are corrupted when exporting the image to png?

I’m having the same issue with my figma account. I no longer have access to my work email ID, hence am unable to authenticate with a code when logging into figma. I would like to regain access to my files though (important thesis, projects). Could someone on your end please help me manually update the email address on my Figma account?

I’m trying to publish an bugfix update of our plugin, and the Publish plugin window displays the error “Please enable two-factor authentication to publish this plugin”. Our company uses SSO, and does not have two-factor enabled. The support page at https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042293394-Publish-a-plugin-to-the-Community says You need to have two-factor authentication enabled to publish plugins, including publishing updates to existing plugins. You won’t need to use two-factor authentication if you sign in to Figma via SAML SSO or Google SSO. But I can’t find any further information about how to publish the update without enabling two-factor.

I have published 3 sites now using Figma sites.  They are all active and accessible...with one major problem… If the user types the name of the site without the www. in front (say they type site.com and hit enter)… there is no redirect automatically enabled and the user gets an “unsecure site” error message. I believe this should be covered automatically by Figma and the automatic SSL… but until such time, I’m wondering if there are DNS settings I need to add to cover this issue.Thanks,

I just setup my first site in figma sites. I’m using godaddy for registrar and DNS. www.site_name.com works perfectlyhttps://site_name.com does not direct to the figma siteHow do I set things up so that both the www and not-www point to figma?  

Hello,I built a Figma prototype for our desktop platform, and one of the screens includes a chat-like interface with multiple suggestion blocks.During a recent demo, one of our team members presented this screen, but the layout appeared incorrectly on his side — the suggestion blocks were rendered higher than they should be, misaligned with the actual Figma design.I double-checked the components and screens in Figma, and everything looks fine on my end. When I preview the prototype myself, it displays correctly. Interestingly, on his side, the screen renders correctly about 90% of the time — but occasionally, it still breaks.I’m trying to figure out what might be causing this inconsistency. This is how it should be:  And this is how he sees it: 

This past week there is an issue that has been coming up a lot lately with transparencies in exported PNG file from Figma. In the years using Figma, I have never experienced this issue.I went a few rounds with this issue even creating modules from scratch (framing shapes, masking shapes and so on) and was still having small fine transparency issues at the bottom and sometimes the top of my exported PNGs. Alll frames in the Figma platform had no gaps in the frame and the shapes what so ever. Anything I did when exporting seem ineffective and transparency issues were still present. I showed another Figma designer this issue and did create some modules step by step in collaboration and we both could not figure out what was causing this issue. The only conclusion we could draw is there was an issue with Figma itself. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue also?

Hello. I have recieved notification on email that my student plan expires in 4 weeks, though it has been only 1 year since i’ve registered in figma and i also verified my edu plan this year. I have read that student plan is valid for 2 years, so why mine expires so soon?
