Trying to walk through setting up something using Gemini but it ends up stuck on this ‘auto layout’ business.I need to create a section in figma then nest a frame inside that section, in which to place content.the section does not have this auto layout attribute.does the frame within this section:need to be sized to fit the width and height of the section? need to have layout settings placed upon it in order to automatically fill the width of the parent section? need padding set on it?please do not simply link to other content.any assistance specific to this question will be greatly appreciated.

The get_code just gets stuck on this even if I select the smallest of frames. I am using a local proxy setting so is it because of that and if yes, how can I configure it figma to detect the proxy and get this working?

I believe it's connected to a team I was part of or created while on the Education plan. I’m new to Figma Make and I just generated a screen using it.I’d like to continue editing that screen in my usual Figma workspace (not inside Make), but I’m not sure how to bring it into my main file.Is there a standard way to transfer or import Make-generated designs into regular Figma files?Thanks in advance for your help!

I am trying to use the plugin ‘Magician’ in Figma, but when I do, it asks for an access code. However, when I click ‘Start Free Trial,’ it just loops back to Figma. What am I missing?

Good day,I ve started to use figma make today and created very good things until ı ve updated a code of a design and it gave some kind of error on the interface preview,the interface started to lag and finally when ı press the fix 10 problems ,smoothing thing out screen came into action as always but  ıt goes into a eternal loop and  doesnt fix or code somethnig.It is stucked. I would be glad if you help me with this problem.

If I use “ctrl + c” to copy a file from my computer, then select the layer in Figma I want to update and use “ctrl +v” to paste/replace it. The layer will inherit the name of the file on the desktop. So if it’s “IMG_ASD123” the Figma layer changes to be named this instead of what it was labeled in Figma. Is this a recent update? It never used to happen? It’s a bit frustrating as I used to name my layers “Asset (3:4)” or whatnot to indicate to dev what the ratio of the asset was but now I need to keep renaming it everytime I copy/paste a new assets onto the layer. Is there a way to disable this at all? Thanks in advance! 🙂

State change interactions are not working properly in component instances prototypes. Ex: button hover state is not activated when hovering; collapsed search bar breaks when changing to default (open) state. All interactions work as expected in the main component. They only break in the instances.

My Figma app updated and the new layers UI has become unusable for me. I rely heavily on the previous layer icons to know what is a frame vs a group vs autolayout vs a component. The images in the layers panel is not useful to me. Is there a way to restore the old icons in the layers panel?

I’ve been noticing an issue when using variables from the library in gradient mode on a shape. Everything works fine when selecting the variable color to create the gradient. The problem happens when I try to change the position of the color stop in the linear gradient — it turns to default white. This only happens when moving the color stops on top of the shape or just making click in the color. The variable color doesn’t change when adjusting the gradient from the gradient panel. Also, when moving the stop on top of the shape, the color changes to white, but it still keeps the name of the variable. The same behavior happens when using radial, angular, and diamond gradients. It seems like this only happens inside a Figma File.Using variable color in gradientsMoving color stop on top of the shape, it changes to white, but not the name of the variableMoving the color stop in the gradient panel “works fine”Already moved the two colors on top of the shape. 

Hi,I’ve placed a component with a variant (an expanded dropdown on click) within another component (a form). When I place an instance of my ‘form’ component into a frame the dropdown variant doesn't prototype correctly, it appears all squashed/distorted. Does anyone know why a component would stop working once it’s nested within another component? Thank you 

My Make workspace has crashed. I asked Claude Sonnet 4 to create a more tech-style design for my page, and I believe it added too many elements when generating the landing page. Now everything is stuck, the page won’t load, Make is completely unresponsive, and when I try to revert to a previous version, nothing happens. This is urgent. Please help me fix this or show me how to solve it myself.Just to clarify, this is not an issue with my computer. I’m using a high-end setup with a 4060 Ti GPU, and everything else works perfectly, including programming other pages.Thank you in advance.

Hello Figma Team,I am developing a plugin that programmatically creates components and attempts to add text properties to text layers using the Plugin API (`addComponentProperty` and `boundComponentProperties`). However, even when following the documentation and ensuring the text node is a direct child of the component, the property is not being registered.
