Any figma file when I am viewing in the present mode or prototype mode. The screen is not showing properly  We can see in the attached screenshot like how the screen is showing half. I have changed the browser view it in firefox, brave even installed desktop figma app it is showing like these. But when view via mobile it is showing properly. I have clear cache in the browser

The delete property button does not work. I accidentally created a variant, and want to delete it. But this minus button does nothing!   

 Every time i [zoom in], the blue select rectangle appears, and when i try to zoom inside of a frame it shifts the items out of the frame.  So to put it simply; it detaches elements in frames, and groups elements that are not in frames. 

So I am trying to make a “like system”. When going between these two frames the state of the liked “Food” box should remain. I have both visibility and the status of the heart set up as variables. It does remember the state when moving from the first frame into the second, but not the second into the first. Meaning if I change the state in the second one it does not transfer back to the first, the first will stay how it was.  The food category is there on the second frame it is just not visible due to being tied to opacity. When you click it on the second frame it disappears, how I want it. I can send more images or try to explain better as well what I am trying to do. 

So I have this simple Avatar with text (using auto layout and working correctly You’ll notice that I’ve stacked two instances on top of each other using auto layout. However, when you look at the FLOW in the right-hand menu, you’ll see that it’s set to HORIZONTAL. … I want it to be VERTICAL (as shown) , but when I choose VERTICAL (see below) it goes to a ‘backwards’ HORIZONTAL layout I’ve changes the canvas stacking, restarted Figma, restarted my Mac without luck. The only thing I’ve been able to do is rebuild it, but after a few minutes it starts happening again.Any help appreciated

Hi, new to Figma here.I’m in a UI/UX course and we’re tasked with creating a site for a movie. We picked Toy Story, and I’m trying to create a frame with Hamm in which you click him, and a gold coin pops up with a review on the movie. If you click him again, the coin goes back in. Another click, and a coin pops up again, but with a different review.How do I make that happen? I have Hamm on the frame and I have a gold coin component with different variants created. In the first frame, Hamm has a small coin hidden behind him. On first click, I used smart animate to switch to the next frame, where the coin enlarges and comes up. On the second click on Hamm, I want the coin to return back to behind Hamm, and also switch to the next variant of the coin. So that on the third click on Hamm, another coin will pop up, but with a different text. Do I have to create a frame for each variant, or is there another way to make that happen? 

Hello guys,I’m having an issue with one of my component. I’m trying to make a button where the arrow below the text is taking the full width of the container (aka the text width).I thought it would’ve been a simple task but turns out it’s not working at all. Instead of the arrow stretching longer, it simply disappears for a moment and then reappears in the longer form.Both instance have the same layer names, the prototype is simply ‘While hovering’, smart animate, ease in and ease out, 300ms, nothing fancy.What am I not doing properly?https://imgur.com/a/jWWn5zb

two days ago I couldn’t find the Property option on the dropdown menu when linking a text or an element from a component to a proprety, and they don’t show on the menu even if I create them before hand I’ve linked this issue in the GIF below

Hi Figma community. I would like to know if there’s a possibility to make automative changelogs in figma that update automatically once there has been a change in the components (in our design system library) and that it can detect the type of change that has been done, the name of the component, date.If you know any plugin that can work for this please let me know!

I have master components in molecules and organisms, the problem is that we put multiple booleans for different rows for example and now we want to edit content them with AI or manually as group. Figma highlights the connected booleans but it does not allow to select them with one click, Does anyone know a way? I was surprised that double click on the boolean title did not select them. PS: Select all with same properties does not work, because it select all the columns as they are same component but used in different columns  

Hey there, im trying to fix a bug in my current Portfolio preparation. Ive used several frames that stay sticky at the top boarder and stack up on top of each other. After letting my previous student plan expire and not using Figma for a while, I tried reapplying for one with the same account I had used to apply for the first student plan (around like 2020). The account logs in via Google and because of that I don’t think you can change the Figma account’s connected email(?) and so I tried to just reapply with said google log-in. This failed, so I tried making a new account with the school email and reapply. This time it worked, but I was wondering if I could somehow move the plan to the old account or maybe easily migrate old work / ownerships of projects?  Thanks.  

Where to see all the figma resources that i liked in community?

Instead of being able to crop it freely as before, now the Top & Bottom act the same. So when I drag the top downwards, the bottom is going upwards at the same time… This makes it very hard to crop exactly what I need. Why has this changed? Did I accidentally do something that made it behave like this?

Hello! I’m trying to create a scrollable map that also has a scrollable panel on the left hand side. The map is a large frame in the screen to I am able to scroll both directions making it scrollable and the left side panel is supposed to scroll up and down. However during the prototype, whenever I try to scroll the panel, it always scrolls the map layer instead and I can’t seem to find a fix for this. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or know what could be causing this? Thank you!

Hi there, quite new to Figma and have a question. Why is there a paragraph indent/empty space/tab before text in textbox? How to eliminate?Since there is no dropdown or extended view of Type, or Typography in the newest update I do not find any options to set paragraph indent. But my biggest problem right now is that it seams to be set in advance, and I don’t know what this empty space exactliy is and can’t seem to get rid of it. 

Good afternoon I am creating a filter bar where it is possible to choose (with checkboxes) 3 levels of difficulty and 3 types of surfaces, depending on the filters selected by the users should the cards of the items that don't correspond to the selected filters should disappear and only the cards that match the choice should remain visible. i was thinking of using boolean variables but it turned out to be too complex, do you have other suggestions on how to do it possibly using varables or conditionals?PS. i also thought about the possibility of using components but there would be too many solutions to develop. if you want to help me and have more details about the project contact me [by sending a private message]. Note: A community moderator edited this post on June 25, 2025 to remove personal information for privacy.

I was cleaning up unused files in my Figma desktop app by leaving teams/projects that were no longer active. After removing these teams, when I tried reopening one of my personal files, I got a pop-up saying:"This is an unassigned draft file"Now it's telling me to 'ask any admin' - but I'm confused because I never shared this file with anyone! It's my personal file, so why would I need admin permission to access my own work?" 

I just can’t develop anything with Figma Sites. It’s full of bugs! Scroll animations don’t work, transitioning layouts from desktop to mobile doesn’t work, text style breakpoints don’t work either — it’s a complete mess. Seriously: nothing works properly in Figma Sites, it’s unbelievable! Everything feels counterintuitive. For example: I tried designing a simple website. Since Figma supposedly mirrors the layout to mobile automatically, I thought it would work great — but it was a failure. When I change an element on the desktop version, it doesn’t reflect on mobile (even though I didn’t touch the mobile version). The grid system doesn’t work as expected either — elements just fall off the mobile screen instead of repositioning properly. It’s a shame. I also tried adding a scroll animation, but with no success: when I moved the X axis downward, the object went up — and vice versa. Sometimes it even disappeared from the desktop screen. Believe it or not: even the preview doesn’t work. W

Hi, ContextI’m helping a client design a product using the PrimeNG library. This dev library comes with a Figma library where I get components, styles, and variables. My problemI don’t know how to edit the values of variables configured in the design system so that all the components, variants, and their instances use my updated values. It’s a general question, but I’ll use one specific example below to illustrate. ExampleThe library has a component called inputtext uses padding variables set to 10.5 horizontally and 7 vertically. I can see these variables both in the properties panel in Figma and in the Token Studio for Figma plugin. (Note that I don’t know much about this plugin and I try to use it because PrimeNG suggests it for using their system and my client’s dev team is trying to leverage it.) Padding settings in for the inputtext component (Figma and Token Studio) Padding variables in the Variables window in Figma But I can’t seem to find how to edit these values. Is there any way to create a line with an automatic square in the end? (See screenshot)The dropdown only allows a very limited shape variety, and unfortunately none of them is a square, which I need on a daily basis. Thanks for your help in advance :)

Frame Name is showing like this only in this file. but when I double click to check if the name is added properly, it shows the exact name. I’m using Figma Desktop App on windows. The issue is just in this file.
