Copy & Paste frames are not working in Figma Make

I was exploring Figma Make for training our design system foundational color tokens and elements, but when I trying to copy paste FIGMA frames/importing it to the prompt area, it was not working.. I couldn’t see the files/frames attached to the prompt thread. And even it got suddenly disabled the plus button (attach file/ import file) for me.

I understand that you’re having trouble attaching designs to a prompt in Figma Make.

I tested this on my end, and copying and pasting a frame from my Figma design file into the prompt box worked as expected. After that, I was still able to click the + button to attach another frame to the next prompt.

To start troubleshooting, could you please check the following:

  • You can have up to three attachments per prompt — how many frames are you attaching?

  • Try refreshing the page and prompting the model again to see if anything changes.

  • Are you seeing any error messages? If so, please review this guide: Troubleshoot in Figma Make

  • Is this happening in a supported browser, in the desktop app, or in both?

  • Does this issue occur in a specific file or across all files?
