We have figma project where i can only comment and view from my account, if i try to tag anyone (eg. neither “@S” or “@Some User”) I always see only “No people found for s”, even when i copypaste name from colleague comment (his name or person he correctly tagged in his comment) it display no users.

I use latest Chrome browser and https://www.figma.com/design/some_cool_hash_project_name

The figma.com/api/contacts/at_mentions request is returning:

error: false
i18n: null
meta: n]
status: 200

Hi Nomik! Generally speaking, there are some intended restrictions on who's available to mention others in comments depending on your plan and permission in the file.
For example, this can happens if you have a personal account, you are able to mention users who share the same permission level as you and who are in the last 100 users you’ve interacted with in Figma.

Here's our Help Center article that has more details on this: Add Comments to files

If you're still unable to mention, I’d recommend reaching out directly to our support team so they can check the permission rights on the backend: Submit a bug report

In the form, please use your Figma email account, and let us know the email address of the affected collaborator, and share the link to an example file where you're not able to @mention this collaborator. Our team can investigate it further. Thank you!
