Hello, all, my name is Marina.I am a graphic designer lives in Greece.I have also background in web design.The last year  decoded to transit to UX/UI Design.I have finished the Google course and started getting into deep learning of Figma.I have started with a web site for an African NGO that is called KIRC.I have watched plenty of videos and tried to practice in “auto layout” and figure out how I can create a responsive web page.I realised that there must be two ways :Either create frames for different devices or create frames and component with “auto layout”.Can you help me to clear this in my mind and follow a clear pat?Here is the link of my web page:  Have a nice day.Marina

Hi folks! We create a lot of presentations and usually design them on Figma, then export them as PDFs. Now, with the latest Figma Slides option, this opens up new ways of presenting and sharing presentations. There is one issue I’ve encountered and need help with. There’s an option where you can select all the frames you want to export – then go to the “Actions” field and type “copy…” to get the option to select “Copy to Figma Slides.” This opens all your selected frames perfectly on Figma Slides. However, sometimes the option to select “Copy to Figma Slides” in the “Actions” panel is not available. WHY? Here with “copy to Figma slides”: Here suddenly without “copy to Figma slides”: Can anyone tell me where the hidden Copy to Figma Slides button is? Thanks! 💐

I haven’t used Invision in a while. When I recently wanted to check out some old projects (~2019) for my portfolio, I realized that all my prototypes in the Studio App was gone. Customer support informed me that the app was fully deactiated and removed back in jan 2023. I have the .studio source files on a harddrive. Is there any was to convert/import these projects and open them in Figma (or Adobe XD/any other software)?? I would so so so appreciate any tips and help! It would really suck if all my projects are gone for good… Thank you!!

When I toggle an icon inside a styled (variant) button, its focus ring or outline remains visible even after it’s turned off. The only way to remove it is to activate a different icon, which clears the issue. However, when I toggle the same icon on again, the focus outline shows up and doesn’t disappear, as if it’s stuck. 

How can you set the default starting page on Figma Sites for prototyping? For some reason, whenever I test out the prototype, the default starting page is ‘about us’ and I want it to be ‘home’.

Is it possible to create a drop down menu with check box and on selectionof those check boxes the table below that drop down menu update with relevant checked item. Like there are 6 items to check and if 2 times are checked the in the table only 2 rows will be shown and the rows will have relevant data, same with 3 items checked in that drop down table will have 3 rows. how is it possible?

A pop-up keeps displaying every few seconds when I use Figma (screenshot attached). The message reads "You are attempting to access support-chat.figma.com/support_chat_frame.html site... An intern accidentally clicked on the account deletion button. How to restore all the files when opening it again?

When I export (to png) any shapes with curved corners there is a little gray line on the edges.I’ve tried finding YT videos, snapping to grid, etc. But nothing seems to work.  

Hi,I tried to update my simple Plugin, which I originally added back in 2022. Unfortunately, I got an error which is blocking the update. I also noticed that when I click on the “Permissions” tab the dialog box closes right away. So I don’t know if there is missing something.I also don’t use the E-Mail address anymore, which I added back in 2022. I have no access to it anymore. Instead, I would like to change to the one I use in my account.Any idea what is going wrong?Thanks, Danny  

So I have tried prototyping the keyboard, but i dont understand how can i do it? Some people say that figma is not a great tool to do that. What should I do?

Hello,Every time I open up Figma on my browser, all the fonts that I’ve installed on my computer using the Figma Font Installer for Windows disappear, and I have to go back and manually re-install them on my computer and overwrite it so that they can all re-install themselves into figma again, which is frustrating and time consuming. Does anyone know why this is happening?

 I cant click in this blank area to apply fills/strokes/effects etc, i used to be able to but now i have to click the plus. it takes a little longer to navigate there which is a bit annoying, is this a new thing or a bug?

Hi!I've recently run into a strange issue when exporting frames from the Figma desktop app (Windows). Some slides/frames export with black bars on the edges (top, bottom, or sides) - but only in certain cases. Here's what's happening: Everything looks totally fine in the browser version - no black bars there. The issue only affects some frames, not all. In the editor, the frames look perfectly normal - the black bars only show up in exported images. I’ve tried: Reinstalling the desktop app Clearing the cache   Making sure all layers are aligned to whole pixels Removing shadows and effects that might bleed outside the frame Exporting in PNG, JPG, and SVG — same result Has anyone else run into this?Would love any ideas or workarounds. I’d really appreciate any help 🙏Hope I explained it clearly English isn’t my first language, so I hope it all makes sense! 😩 

Hello everyone, I’ve created icons, all vector layers with the same name, and every icon has a variant of sizes - small (16px) medium (24)and large (32). They also have round/sharp Boolean property. I’ve created buttons, also with size variants with matching names and sizes. There’s also variant for only label, only icon, left icon and right icon. There’s also instance swap for every icon size. I also have the icon as nested instance. So I take an instance of the button and I change its size, then I change the icon - lets say from “search” to “plus” for example - but if I want to change the size of the button, the instance swap return to its default icon instance. What should I do, or what did I do wrong?

Why this very simple functionality hasn’t been added for years idk. Everytime there’s an issue with payment, we have to enter ALL payment info again. There is also no managing payment methods, or even adding a backup one. It’s archaic for a product that costs $240 per year.

The constrast checker it’s great, but it’ll also be super usefull to have the option to switch the two  elements you need to compare, because right now automatically compares only with background.  For example, if I have a button and I need to compare the text color with the button color but I don’t want to change the text color, just the button color, how can I tell the tool to compare with the foreground and not with the background of the button?. Somebody knows?

Hello, can anybody help me with this issue? I have several .fig files, and whatever I try to import them, it’s “Unsupported file format”. I tried Import from “Create new” dialog, I drad and droped , the same result.  Please,  how to fix it?   Thank you !

Spinner not working, I have tried following some articles but nothing works

I am trying to create a script that would use figma apis to extract data from figma files. This script would run as a scheduled cron job and would be dealing with figma files from multiple teams. The basic approach of creating a PAT (Personal access token) seems very difficult to manage and scale as we have to get access to all figma files for the particular user.Is there a better way to achieve this ? Can an org wide token be created to achieve this ?What are other ways of performing such actions in production environments 

From time to time I cross broken Variant values’ order. Other words, an instance on the design file has a different variant values’ order than the main component or even instance of it, tested directly in the library. It’s not always the same component. It’s appearing at random. Problem appearing only on instances used in design file with added library Other, same way created components works fine (until randomizer decide it’s their time). Seems like some informations are lost during loading or publishing library.Library fileComponent → “Size” variantInstance → “Size” variant Design file (library attached)Instance → “Size” variant 

For example, I want the top border of a rectangle to be a solid line, the bottom border to be dashed, and the left/right sides to have no stroke at all. Is there a native way to apply different stroke styles per edge of a single object, or do I need to use separate lines of shapes as workarounds? Thanks!
