I’ve uploaded a font to Figma organization (Admin > Resources > Fonts) which is an updated version of an existing font we have.The font shares the same name as the existing font, however Figma does not give the option to ‘replace’ when uploading and still shows the previous version in the font list.I’ve tried clearing my cache and restarting and don’t want to remove the existing font as it’s used everywhere. Any advice on steps to take? Thanks

Hi. I changed the name of my company, and thus have a new email address. I tried to change the email address from my old account to my new one, but it doesn’t work. Can someone please help me?  

I have files in a defunct company account that I want to completely move to a different Pro team account. Can I move/copy those files? If yes, please point me to the right help pages.

 I created a component. Currently, the transition for "show less" is instant, and "expand" uses a smart animation. I was hoping to have the page move out more smoothly. Is this possible in Figma? Why does everything reload to the top of the page when I see the screen in prototype?  

I’m seeing some unexpected behavior with an OAuth token and it’s requests. I’ve a Token fetch setup that works as expected. But after having recived said token and go to make API requests with it, none of them return with good data. They all return with an error of 430: invalid token. Below is a snippet of my user `/me` request. I noticed in the past month that search has gotten worse, specifically when looking for icons. Our library follows a naming standard of “name_24px” with the name varying by icon and the number varying by size. I’m guessing something about this format is confusing search even when the right answer is the closest match. Eg. Searching “star” for an icon named “star_24px” does not work… but it does suggest icons named “restart_alt_24px” and “store_mall_directory_24px” which are clearly less correct than the icon I wanted. I cant personally change the icon naming structure - can this be fixed?

In a few words, I have my text styles set up in a library file which I after imported into my child project file. However, I would like to change the line height of the specific text style instance that I’m editing. Is it possible to do that without detaching the component?(I know that it is possible to override things like alignment, decorations, etc, but I don’t see how I would do that for the font family, font size, line height, letter spacing, etc)Given I changed the line height property in the library project, all instances of that property would be updated, except for the specific instance where I manually overrode the line height.Thanks in advance.

This may be an embarrassing question to ask, but hey how do you actually make each intersection point a vertex without manually adding them using the pen tool? I’ve tried union → flatten, but then it creates 4 vertices there(packed together) instead of 1 since a union turns paths into surface areas.

Hello! I’ve already reached out to Support for this and submitted a ticket, but I wanted to post this here as well. Files from the past three (3) months have disappeared from my Figma account, many of which I regularly open and use. They are not in my deleted drafts, nor are they files that have been shared with anyone else. Here are the things I’ve already tried: Checked deleted folder - they’re not there. Adjusted filters to “Created by anyone” - nothing shows. Checked teams and sub-folders within teams - nothing. Used the search bar to find by title - nothing appears (and I name all my files, so I know how to find them). Tried logging out and logging back in - no change. Some users had the same issues in other forum posts and chalked it down to a bug that hides a bunch of files, making them appear as if deleted even though they’re not. I’ve tried just about everything and nothing can find them.

My employees have 2 accounts logged into figma. One is enterprise, the other is free. Is there an activity log that tracks whether the user has copied objects from a file in the enterprise account to the free one? 

Hello all, I am looking for help related to a recent incident that happened with me.I’m unable to access my own file which I worked on all the last five yeras. I was working on it right now and the screen simply appeared that I no longer had access to my own file which was literally in my drafts, it was never shared. All my jobs were there, just like the ones I was working on now, it's my income. I'm desperateThe only owner and edit was me only. I still have it on my screen, and it's even in my recents, but I can't get into it. Please help me with this or if anyone from Figma officials can help me with this. The name is “Projetos”.

When I log into figma, I'm always taken to a sticky note I created a year ago, my team has created new columns since then and I have to reduce the screen to find the new column, then scroll to it then enlarge the screen. Is there a way to fix this issue? 

Has anyone else come across this feature, of being able to change the section label colour? See example image. Is this a hack or intended feature?

Today I received a Figma project that contains a link to a phishing threat.The link was sent through a coworker's email, It seems like his account was compromised.The scammer linked a Figma project and emailed it to all his contacts, since we worked together I opened the figma project, and found another link inside of the figma project, that 2nd link contained a phising threat which my antivirus blocked.This made me think; is there a way to “report” figma projects that pose a security risk to the community? I couldn't find a button to “report project” or something similar. It would be helpful if once identified someone could take those Figma projects down. 

In my prototype I use various boolean variables to switch components states/ toggle visibility based on choices made in various spots of the prototype.In the figma app and Firefox browser I do not encounter any issues (so far).I got word from other Designers that in browsers like safari the components started to have their contents disappearing if a boolean switched the states of the components.  

Where is “send backward” and “bring forward”? Can’t see those options anywhere in the right click context menu. Only two options are “Send to back” and “Bring to front”. Using keyboard shortcuts is not an option. Where can I find these two commands?

When I switch between pages in my any figma file, it takes from 1 minute to 5-6 minutes.Such a problem I started experiencing about 2-3 weeks ago. And this problem appeared not only for me but also for my colleagues. I can’t work normally. Simple tasks take a lot of time when you have to just switch between pages and fix some text layers or copy something. just in case, I have Intel UHD Graphics

Dear Figma community, As the title suggests, I am hoping this is not the first time this issue is raised. If anything, I’d be surprised if this wasn’t being thought out at all. How do you deal with situations where you have multiple overlapping / conflicting tokens / variables? What utility or plugins that allow you to “override”, “swap” or “merge” conflicting variables. I “sort of” know that the only way to overcome is to gruellingly detach any suspecting components, use the “destroyer” plugin, and/or manually sift and sort through each and every individual variable by name (whilst manually “hunting” them by eye alone, which gets triggered by which state and which is not ~ all relying on memory alone). Suggestions appreciated. Andrew.

In our team we have a separate file for all text styles and variables. We made some additions to the file and need to publish new variables, but now we realize that 3 text styles were removed by mistake 2 months ago. Right now we have to uncheck all the removed styles when publishing, in order to not lose them in our working files. Restoring to the 2 months file version of course will give us back the 3 removed styles, but we will lose all the work done since then. Is there any way to restore these 3 text styles, wh

I’ve been using Crt+Cmd+{Arrow keys} to align objects left/right/top and bottom. For example Control+Command+Left arrow key to Align Left and Control+Commend+Down Arrow key to align to BottomThese were additional shortcuts along with Alt+{A/W/S/D}. I think after last figma update the additional Align left and Align right shortcuts (CTR+CMD+Left/right arrow keys) are not working. So. when I press Ctr+CMD+Arrow Left to Align Left, The object(s) resizes. (meaning it ignores the Ctrl key and just does CMD arrows which is resizing shortcut)However the Align Top and Bottom however works fine.(i.e. Ctr+Cmd+Top/Bottom aligns to Top and Bottom respectively)[I am on Figma Desktop App version 124.6.5  and MacOS version 12.7.6 ]Its very frustrating for me personally for me because I’ve been aligning things this way for years and this was the top if not the only reason to use desktop app and after

Hi all,I was charged for an extra design seat recently which I did not expect. For added info, I am on a professional team plan.This happened when I was backing up files that I had worked on from another team. I did so by making a duplicate of the Figma file and transferred it to my account. What I didn’t realise was this somehow created an extra design seat automatically for the owner of the file. I only realised after I was billed.(Yes I did receive a reminder email before I was charged, but I did not open it as I wrongly assumed the same number of seats to be billed.)This is upsetting because there was no indication that the duplicate action would cause this to happen. I read elsewhere that I should have probably saved it as a .fig file instead, but that sounds like an unnecessary added step.Is there someway to improve on this, for e.g. I could have been shown a toast or notification with this information?

We are a team of programmers and graphics designers that are all hoping to be able to utilize Figma so that our Front End GUI team will be able to pass along React ready layouts and code to our senior developers. What is the best method to do this. We have spent the past week or so with creating a ‘project’. A simple inventory control page for example, but there seems to be a lot of options in regard to what plugin or system is best to switch it to react code. Have people been able to just utilize the inhouse Figma to Code as best results or is it best to utilize a 3rd party. I would really like some input. I’ve seen online about using : Anima I saw a board posting here in this forum from a company called : ‘Copy Cat Team’ for their software and I saw a video that utilized : DhiWise software plug in Since we are right at the beginning of 10 large projects, I really want to get this right the first time.
