Every time I want to comment a Figma Slide, it makes me very annoyed and frustrated. I often cannot finish typing my sentence (in Chinese) in the comment function because it automatically switches to the next page, forcing me to type the comment content somewhere else and copy it in. This makes my work very troublesome and inefficient. I am not the only one who has this problem. Another colleague of mine also has the same problem. Please help us solve this problem as soon as possible. 

In https://www.figma.com/code-connect-docs/ci-cd/ it specifies that you can use Github Action to automatically publish changes with Code Connect.Is there more information on how to specify tokens? Is there a specific token for CI or should we use personal token for this case?  

When using the comment feature in Figma for Japanese input, the cursor occasionally moves to the very end of the comment upon confirming the conversion. As demonstrated in the attached capture, this behavior does not always occur with the same keyboard operations. I am quite troubled by this and would like to see it improved. For this demonstration, ‘Google Japanese Input’ is being used for Japanese input. However, the same behavior occurs with the Japanese input system that comes with MacOS.

I’ve noticed that OpenType features (ligatures, stylistic sets, etc.) show correctly in Figma’s Design mode, but they don’t appear in the published website when using Figma Site.Is this a known limitation/bug, or is there a workaround to ensure OpenType features are preserved in the published output?Design mode (notice the single-storey a)Published site (all OpenType features are ignored) 

Dear Figma Team,There is a problem that is causing me a lot of trouble lately…When I add drop shadow on top of an outside stroke with no variable the drop shadow start after the stroke. The problem is that when I add a variable stroke width, the stroke goes above the drop shadow 😫.  There is 3 diffrent behaviors for the exact same frame and same shadow.See screenshot attachedIt is really jeopardize a hard deadline for me , please help…(PS : the shadow is raw number so its not an interaction between 2 variables of the same mode in case you were wondering)

Hi Figma team, I wanted to share some persistent issues I’ve been experiencing for over a month now related to Stroke and Fill functionality. Stroke issues:I often can’t remove the stroke or set it to appear on only one side. This is especially problematic when the object is nested within another frame. Fill issues:The “+” button to add a new fill works only occasionally. While clicking on the Fill area does trigger a response from the system, actually adding or deleting a fill rarely works. Often, I have to just toggle the visibility (“eye” icon) off — even if I know I won’t need a fill at all — because I simply can’t delete it. Spacing/padding issues (new):As of today, I’m unable to set different paddings for different sides of an object. It only lets me set a uniform value for all sides, and the option to adjust each side individually appears to be missing or broken. These bugs are impacting my workflow significantly. I’d really appreciate it if the team could take a look. Thanks so

I have an icon library that I am organizing, and I thought the new grid Auto-layout feature would help organize the icon sizes. Set the grid on the Component Set to use a 2x7 (2 columns, 7 rows) layout. Then, I select all of the variants and drag the top-left selected variant into the top-left cell on the grid. All of the variants nest themselves in the grid cells magically as expected. But what is unexpected is that the property names are blown away and reset to Figma’s default naming convention while the property values stay intact.

Hi guys,I’m working on a text field as par of my Figma training, and when i add auto-layout to the text “Label” and the line next to it, the line moves and disaligns with the rest of the frame. Can I make those 2 lines align again?I’ve tried the following:1 adding an arrow at the end of the line to see if the line itself would budge,2 moving the auto-layout to aign again,3 mind power.I’m a beginner so i’m sure there’s a solution and i’ve simply not found it.Any advice is welcome.Many Thanks!Alison

Hi all,I have a quite serious topic. In my designs somebody changed an email address to a different one, but it was not my team or somebody who has write access to it, our it was not intentionally, or forgot about it. The problem is that we were not able to detect from the history who did it, this change is displayed every version from the history, but it cannot be true, because we checked maximum circa a one and a half week ago, and then the email address was the original one. and now its changed in every version. What can be the problem? Thanks! 

In a Figma library file, we have an icon set as separate components. The icons are multiple shape objects, i.e. they are not compound paths. All the icons should be monochrome in any state. If we replace one icon(component) with another only parts of the icon will inherit the colours from its replacement. The rest of the icon shapes will pick their colour from the colour applied to the icons as Main Components. Can anyone help with troubleshooting this or confirm that this is a bug?

If I have an object, and want to copy Its interactions properties to another, I have to copy from the Prototype toolbar: Copying from Its line doesn't seem to work anymore: 

Anytime I use a variant with overrides applied the interactive component causes the variant to revert to its default state in the prototype. I may be doing something wrong, but it feels like a bug.

When I have a blend mode applied to a layer or fill, I can’t tell which one I’m currently using. Clicking the blend mode droplet icon again just removes it. The only way I could figure out which one I was already using was by going into dev mode and looking at the generated CSS.

I got the ai in Figma to help me create a document and it’s 11 pages long. It’s got great artwork, design and of course my verbiage. I have no idea how to export this to PDF as a fully illustrated document and it’s driving me crazy. I tried to contact Figma but they told me to come here. Can anyone help if I share the link?

I simply drag and drop a component to inside of another component but didn’t work. I can’t add component as a child element to another component.

Since last 3 days I have noticed that control z shortcut is not working and its causing a lot of friction in my workflow. I have checked my keyboard and its fine. The shortcut worked in MS word. But its just not working in Figma. Please help.

Hi! I am looking to verify what file(s) the MCP has access to (i.e. can it see a list of all files on my account / in my org, or can it only access the file that is currently open in Figma Desktop?), and whether the MCP can ever make changes to said files, or does it have read-only access?Thanks!

The new glass effect works very nicely in the editor viewport, howeverwhen you present your design in present mode, it looks very pixelatedand some random diagonal black lines appear when you present in full-screenIs it just me or you as well?

Hi,I have created a dropdown component with variables where i select option and it update the text in field.But the problem is that when i am using this component in other file and the option text changed then it is not changing the option text when i am opening the dropdown it is showing the basic value that was set in base component open state.In component i set local variable for label (Variable: SelectOption)For each option in dropdown options i set variable option1, option2 and so on Now in other file i am using that component and create some local variables for select option  and options in list. I detach the variable and assign new local variables. But when i am checking it in “Present” mode it is still showing me Option 1 and Option 2 in list  Really need help here that how can i update the variables in other file to use the same functionality

Hello community, I am looking for any information on how working with branches and merging branches has been for you guys. I am currently working with a file that should serve as a single source of truth for other files. It is a design system file with variables and a hierarchy of namings for the variables. We are considering restructuring some of the variable groups and how the group namings are set up. We might group variables into a functionality structure where components that are usually used for input & controls are grouped together, then components that are for content & display are in another group, then components that are usually for navigation are in another group, feedback & status group, layout & structure group, and then maybe an overlays group. We might also regroup typography variables like fontsize, weight, and family into a nested group structure. Some of our variables have generic semantic names and then some have a more specific component level name.

Hey there! 👋🏼For over a week now, it seems like empty rows from the spreadsheet are being included when assigning properties to template layers. As a result, I’m getting over 1,000 assets created with no content (since the rows have no information).That wasn’t the case a few weeks ago, when I created and tested the templates before sharing them with the rest of the team.I assume this is a bug, but I wanted to ask if you are working on solving this issue? Warm regards, Aleksandra

Some time before in Figma when I did a query on an endpoint:GET curl -H 'X-FIGMA-TOKEN: {token}'  'https://api.figma.com/v1/files/{file_key}' With many others fields the collaborators field was returned in the response where I could get information about the person's email, role and IDBut now I don't see such a field in the responseHas the response body changed over time?And is there an alternative that could be used to get collaborators?

The position controls for a cell seem to disappear when using library components. When I use local file components, they are available.
