Case: I have masive design system using Variables. But sometimes, I have to change (for example) change the color MenuCategories/bg-color.I have to manualy open the Variable table, and manualy find the variable.Quastion: Is tehere any way, to automaticly open the Variable table and dont have to find the variable manualy? I cant do that via Right click, or click some button. I have a design system with three typography modes set with variables: Mobile, Desktop and Admin. When I apply Cmd+B to a text layer on a frame with a typography variable mode, Figma overrides the mode and change the font back to the first mode in my variables. Is this a bug or am I missing something? I changed the font in the Mobile mode to Times New Roman

Please back always display of element sizes. I dont waте every time to hover field to see element sizes. Its bad UX and make me do one more action that I dont need. Plaese fix it.  

Hi, guys, a newbie here. Just moved from Sketch to Figma, imported my sketch file successfully and got stuck on this step one. All of my pages show in Zoom to fit option, but whenever I try to zoom in or out (with mouse or menu) everything just disappears( No matter how far or long I scroll. I tried to import a file with just one page, and it’s the same - I can’t zoom in or out, I can see it only in Zoom to fit view.

Hi everyone, I’ve been using Figma’s custom bezier curves for a while now, and while they work great, I find myself frequently copy-pasting the same easing values across multiple components. This gets tedious, especially when I want to experiment with different easings for different elements. I’m curious if anyone has come up with a way to streamline this process or create more flexible solutions, like using variables for bezier curves, or any creative approaches that make managing multiple easing curves across components easier. Here are a few bezier curve names I’ve been working with: glide (0.5, 0, 0.5, 1) quick-snap (0.25, 1, 0.5, 1) Ideally, I want something like this in Figma where I would create Number variables and String variables and just plug them in and when I want to experiment I would just change the variables so I wouldn’t have to go through all my components to experiment with

Hi all, I am working on my portfolio and want to add external links to some parts of it. For the most part, I figured out how to do it. However, I couldn’t find any resource on how to add a ‘mailto’ link to the prototype. I’d appreciate it if someone who has done it before could lead me the way. Thanks!

Does anyone know why I don't see the circle cursor when I present my work?

Hi!Until recently, variable collections in Figma could be manually ordered using numbers or custom prefixes. However, I’ve noticed that now they seem to be sorted only by creation date, and my previous custom order is completely gone.On top of that, the collections I had carefully organized are now randomly shuffled, ignoring the structure I had set up.Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug or an intentional change?Any tips or workarounds to restore the custom order would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

Since the most recent SVG export change, Figma is using `<foreignObject>` for gradients. foreignObject has a number of issues, for us most importantly it’s not possible to combine `<foreignObject>` and `<use>`. We use `<use>` to create SVG sprites for icons, but any icons with a gradient exported from Figma now break our sprites and makes it impossible to use `<use>`.See e.g. https://github.com/w3c/svgwg/issues/511Could we get an option where we don’t get perfect background blur support and similar, but avoid using foreignObject?Thanks.

In Figma, when using Auto Layout within a Cell component that contains different types of adaptive content, most elements resize correctly. I’m working in Figma slides, I have tried web and desktop but the problem persists.I am in Design Mode and have the move tool selected and Fixed Size text box, however it scales proportionally, including the text inside. I just want to resize the box. It’s like I’m stuck in the scale tool somehow. I have restarted and still like this. The same for exisitng and new text boxes.

I can’t create a color variables with existing in library color styles, they won’t appear in the list.As you see I have color styles in the file but they are not visible in variables menuMaybe I’m missing something?

I have chosen Figma Slides for a project involving academia and municipality partners knowing that Edit Mode is would not be restricted, that’s why we chose the platform. We have been collaborating on it but yesterday the non-academic accounts have been locked out of edit mode and the whole project has been frozen a few days before presentation. Please help…

When I’m adding a new text property to a component which is nested inside another one the new text property content resets to the default when filled in, in the variant. All text properties are connected and have the same naming. IT is not happening to already existing components, but if I add a new text property to an existing component only the already existed ones will work.

Hello, so I recently created a toggle switch that is on an overlay. This switch functions properly and works to toggle my screens modes from light/dark. however when the overlay closes, the switch toggle resets.                For example: I am on a light theme > opens overlay > toggles to dark theme (it works) > switch changes to toggled > closes overlay > reopens overlay > switch resets to non toggled. as you can see this messes with the point of the toggle, every time I open the overlay after toggling to dark theme, I'm having to toggle twice to change to light theme, instead of it being fluid. Does anyone have a fix for this?  

Hello, I want to show my iPhone 13 app prototype on my iPad. However it isn’t fitting to its iPhone 13 screen size, it fills the whole ipad screen meaning you have to scroll up and down to perform actions. I would like it to show the whole screen and you can interact with it as it would be shown on an iPhone. Can someone help me with how to do this?

First I thought some parts of my wireframes were erased, but I looked at my layers and they were there. I inspected them and most of them had become white. Then I thought I did something wrong because I was on a branch, I merged updates from main and then I merged my branch. I found on my versions a version with the colors so I copied and tried to bring it back, but it was like I did not had editing rights of some parts of Figma. I closed and open the file several times until I had full editing access. I was able to copy my files from the old version to the new. And then left the file. I came back again to copy something and again several layers had gone white. What is causing this? How do I stop it?

Currently running into an issue where changing the variant property of one of my nested instances is causing some of the other instances to change.The expected behaviour should be that changing my variant on one instance should have no impact on the other. This is also only affecting some of the instances, which seems strange to me. Any ideas if this is a Figma bug? Changing the “Type” property to change one of my Insight Blocks from one variant to another.Multiple instances are changing at once after I make the selection.  

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been experiencing issues with copying elements in Figma. Initially, the problem was limited to components, but now I’m unable to copy entire frames as well. This issue occurs both within the same file and when trying to copy from other files.
