I’m adding hyperlinks to an editable template in Figma Buzz, and the ‘Mailto:’ function does not seem to work (says invalid link every time). Is there a way around this? I found a plugin to try, but apparently I cannot open the desired plugin within Buzz (fault with Buzz it seems?). ‘Manage plugins’ does nothing in Buzz...

I’m having a problem with the text tool and how it interacts with the rest of my project. Previously, I would be able to hit “T”, click wherever I want the text, hit escape, and that would be it. Now, when I hover the cursor over a rectangle for example, the cursor has a little curve under it, and when I click, the rectangle just disappears. In the layers side bar, it changes the layer name from “Rectangle 2” to “text on a path.”I tried restarting the Figma app, but it’s still doing it. I’m really not sure what I did. How do I get it back to normal? This is the odd cursor in question.​​​​​​ 

I work for an org who have disabled Open Sessions- due to confidentiality risk. Is there anyway for the admin to allow a group of users to have this functionality- ie ring fence functionality for only some users?? 

Hi there! I work for a company that owns over 17 different brands with different brand colors. I want to use Figma Buzz to bulk create a visually identical ad for all the brands, but I want the background color to change across each ad to correspond with the unique color of each brand.  My company has used Token Studio to create color tokens for each brand, and these are linked to Figma Variables. Is there any way in Figma Buzz to link a spreadsheet column to color Variables so that when I use Bulk Create it automatically switches to the correct brand color while keeping the token connected?Hope that makes sense! I used have an example screenshot below as a visual of what I would want to happen as well  

I have a navigation bar component with a variant for each product and I want to set the icon for both the default state and the selected state so that they are filled when selected.  I have this set on the parent component but when I try to use it in an instance, it does not have the icon and just shows the default  Here is it set in the parent component when selected  Here is it set when in default  When I insert an instance of the main component and change the icon buttons to a different state, it resets the icon to the default  This navigation bar component is composed of smaller components including this icon button… not sure where the problem lies.  After I set it once in the instance of the main component it works every time I switch it, but it would be nice for my designers not to have to do that every time .

When placing a text layer inside a frame (without any fill, stroke, or effect), Figma shows an unexpected additional color (usually black) in the “Selection Colors” panel.This happens even if the text is styled correctly using a color variable, and there are no other visible color sources. The color cannot be selected, changed, or removed. Adding a transparent fill just adds another color to the list. The issue appears consistently as soon as a text layer is placed inside any frame. This seems to be a misleading behavior in the Selection Colors panel, as the color is not visually present or technically applied to any element. Any takes on this?

I saw this topic raised in the past. Wanted to surface it again because this continues to be an issue for me now and has been throughout the years I’ve been using Figma. Comments do not get copied over when duplicating a file or when exporting a .fig file. Has anyone found a workaround for this? @Figma_Support Is an update for this issue coming our way in the future?

Hi Figma,In my main design system, currently i have these 4 collection. But after renaming a collection from 'Semantic (Device)' to 'Device-Type (S)' in the main design system file, now I can see both collection names in the working file. I requested for a help from figma support team, unfortunately the options they said not worked.

Hi There,It seems images are embedded - is that right?So each time they’re updated externally, they have to be manually re-placed one at a time anywhere they’re used - is that right?Also, does this mean you can’t easily find an image with a Figma design file, and reveal its file location for round-trip editing?Sorry if this is easy, I’ve found lots of confusing threads (some are old though) but the answers seem complex for something as basic as image updating.Any pointers in the right direction much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

How can I find or where can I see the name of the course/bootcamp linked to my Figma student plan?

I’m unable to bulk load images as file paths in Figma Buzz. I tried both csv and xlsx files and when I upload the file it reads it as a text field . I’m just wondering if we are doing something wrong? Thanks 

Steps to Reproduce: Create a new text layer. Apply the font Noto Looped Thai – SemiBold. Type English characters (A–Z). Expected Result:English characters should display properly with correct styling in SemiBold weight.Actual Result:English characters do not render correctly.

Hello,I’m having a problem with my payment. My subscription started on September 6 and was supposed to renew on October 6. Yesterday, I couldn’t complete the payment because the amount shown was incorrect — it displayed $60 instead of my regular $16 subscription fee.Because of that, I canceled the subscription and tried to re-subscribe, but now I don’t have the option to pay monthly for the $16 plan. I can’t figure out how to do it, and I’d also like to remove the $60 payment line from my billing section since it’s incorrect and unnecessary.Could you please help me resolve this issue?Thank you in advance! 

Hi all -- having a lot problems today getting my Figma site to publish despite it working just fine prior. I just wanted to make some changes and add a webpage and haven’t had any issues till now. I’ve tried restarting the app, using it in the web browser, removing the most recent page, confirmed no errors. What can I do? I spent a long time on this site and now I cannot manage or maintain it.Thank you! 

I want to export or copy the names of the layers to compare them with the desktop and mobile versions, but I couldn't figure out how. The layers resemble an HTML tree, which would be useful for creating the HTML structure. I tried some plugins, but they didn't work. It would be helpful if I could copy the layer names.

Hello, I am working on some projects and whenever I try the prototype it freezes and the interactions are not working. No matter if I hide/unhide layers, clear figma cache, re-install figma, restart or update pc.It has been like that all day. The only interactions I have is open overlay, while hovering, click. Yesterday it was working properly.The project is very complicated to change the interactions and test if something is causing that issue although I dont think that’s the case.Does anyone face the same issue? Other users within the same project don’t have any issue.

I’m noticing that some but not all videos in one of my prototypes flash black before playing, but only in Figma iOS app, not Figma desktop or web. Is this a known issue and any recommendations on how to fix it?

Has anyone figured out how to publish the components in this tool kit? As a single user on the Pro Plan, this is the modal that pops up when you try to publish the components?   

I have a design library with multiple color variable. I’ve published all colors for our local team to use in their design files and for the longest time, all color variables were available for use inside these design files. But recently (past month or so) some colors are not appearing inside the design files. As in, they do not make themselves present during a Fill, Stroke, nor Text color selection effort. I also noticed I’m unable to nudge these variable (change color, name, etc) in order to trip the library into including them for publishing. It’s as if they don’t exist—even though they do in the library. Hi,I was trying to use variables to change the hover color of a button, but the problem is I can select the color of the base button using the tokens, the change to field only allows for hex colors; I can’t point to the hover token.It works for a single mode, light or dark, because I can just put the hover hex color, but that’s not great when using light and dark.
