Does a figma website stay live if you don't continue paying for pro?

Hi,

Im currently rebuilding my personal site with figma and upgraded to use some additional features. With hosting a website through figma, how does that work exactly?

If I were to build the site with figma pro, host it and connect a domain name etc, will that website still be live if I decide to not renew my pro subscription and go back to basic?

Thank you in advance

NO! your Figma-hosted website would stop being live if you don't pay for the monthly subscription, as a payment covers a full month of service and the subscription renews automatically to maintain access to paid features. If your payment fails or you stop paying, you might lose access to your paid features and could eventually be locked out of editing your files. Hope this helped :)

I am very new to coding and found figma make as a method for me to be able to create (and hopefully publish and host) a small recipe management web app. Due to my lack of coding experience, I purchased the professional plan so that I would have more AI assistance in creating the app.

Now that I have finished building the app, I have pressed the publish button and have my figma.site url. I Intend on downgrading my account back to the free starter plan, and I want to know what will happen to my published site. Will I still be able to use the site as intended (I want to use the app in my daily life)? Is there some time or usage limit? Would I still be able to update the site after the account downgrade?

if you stop paying for Figma Pro, your website won’t stay live; it’ll revert to free features. You’ll likely need to move your hosting elsewhere to keep it up.
