I’ve created a project in Figma, and it’s working fine—I can also view the React code. However, when I tried to export and run it on my local system, I noticed that a required file, package.json, is missing.Could you please guide me on how to properly run this project locally? I already have the necessary technologies installed on my system.

Download code buttonI spotted the "Download Code" option in the upper right corner of the editor, but I noticed that there is no "package.json" file. Is there any documentation or a way to run these projects locally using my own IDE?

I am conducting a useability study and would like to record the click path my participants use when interacting with the lo-fi prototype.Is there a way to have it automatically record whenever anyone interacts with it? I have no control on the specific time they choose to view it.Thanks.

I was reviewing the Figma MCP server guide, and it mentions that the MCP Client can be requested by submitting details through the https://form.asana.com/?k=kBG-ejRQTdY8x_H6a4vM3Q&d=10497086658021 form.Could you kindly confirm if this is the correct process to obtain access to the MCP Client? I want to access the Figma MCP Server from our own Oauth client credentials. 

Greetings fellow Figma users! Last week I designed a social media post for a client using Montserrat as the main font. Today I was designing another one for them, so I copied the text boxes to another Frame. As soon as I selected them with the text editing tool the appearance of the font changed.These are all NOT locally installed Google fonts, so it might be related to an update on the library of Google fonts, or Figma’s for that matter. I tried to verify this with the Way Back Machine, although the website snapshots aren’t loading properly. Has anyone identified something like this before? if so, how can it be fixed?Thanks in advance! 😁 The image shows 2 groups of texts written with the typeface “Montserrat”, exemplifying how its appearance changed from October the 1st to the 11th, 2025. 

Hello Figma,I’m a student at the University of California, Irvine. I’ve been stopped by SheerID’s verification process over and over, and I use Figma for school and work-- so this has been a pretty big issue. I entered all my details, but was told to retry until it said it exceeded. I filed a ticket with SheerID.  SheerID closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” There seems to be no other solution but to contact them. This loop has been quite irritating. Please reach out to me soon so I can quickly amend this issue.

Hi all I’m running into the problem of my text not changing if I change my component. Let me run you through the steps I’ve taken: I have a component ‘Wizard step’ with 2 variants for a step indication. Tested this, if I change my text and then change the variant, it remembers the text. Awesome so far. Now I make a component ‘Wizard flow’ with 4 of these steps, because I will use the steps on different frames and I want the texts and prototype noodles to be the same from all these frames. Now I use the ‘Wizard flow’ on my 4 frames. I override the variant of the ‘Wizard step’ to indicate which step is done or not done. Again, so far, so good. But now, if I want to change the naming of my steps in my ‘Wizard flow’ component. What happens is that it only takes it over in the steps where I did not change the variant of the ‘Wizard step’. I’m publishing my site that was built using Figma Make. The DNS is already connected, but the issue is that the latest version of my site is not being pushed live. Everything seems to be set up correctly, yet only the older version shows up.Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Hello everyone!I’ve been exploring Figma for a while now and have been practicing different designs for both mobile and desktop screens. This time, I wanted to try something new and chose a self-ordering kiosk design for a fictional restaurant. Basically, I’m aiming for a countertop ordering terminal.Right now, I’m a bit unsure about the correct frame size for this type of design. I went with 1920×1080 for now, but I’m not sure if that’s ideal.My second question is about the font size. What would be the most suitable sizes for such a layout?  I’m working on the first three screens right now: a start screen (to begin an order) and another for selecting between take-out and dine-in. After that comes the first menu overview, where I’ll definitely need smaller fonts to fit more information, unlike the two before.Could anyone share some advice on the best frame and font sizes for this kind of kiosk setup? Hey everyone,I’ve been testing a custom React component on a Figma Site (built with Figma’s new code components / figma:react), and I’m having trouble tracking clicks with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).Here’s what I’ve done so far: Added my GA4 Measurement ID (e.g. G-XXXXXXX) in Site settings → Analytics Confirmed that the gtag script is loading properly (I can see gtag() in the console) Added a simple component that fires an event on click: if (window.gtag) { window.gtag("event", "cta_button_click", { content_type: "cta_button", button_text: "Get Started", }); } The console shows the log correctly on click, but nothing appears in GA4 → Realtime → Events or DebugView. It feels like the event is being called in a sandboxed context where analytics can’t actually send data out — maybe due to how Figma Sites handle scripts or iframes?Has anyone managed to successfully track custom GA4 events inside Figma Sites yet?If yes, how did you make it work? I’ve built a component, added a bunch of instances of said component to my layout, and now decided to change one of the font styles in the component. So I go back to the main component, make the change and…nothing. I can’t get all the instances of the component to reflect the change. I also tried changing font size. Same thing. No changes to the instances of the component. Tried color. That works! I can change the color! But not anything else. Is there a way to force these font size/style to change throughout the instances?

When changing an icon’s color in a button component, the color change doesn’t appear on the buttons where the icon has been instance swapped. This was still working yesterday, and I tested it on several projects with different icon sets.

I took dev subscription by mistake and I want to cancel it. Please help me get refund.

Hello Figma Team,I’m a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (Graphic and Web Design, expected graduation 2027). For my coursework, I need access to a project in Figma that my professor invited me to. Unfortunately, I’ve been completely blocked by SheerID’s broken verification process.Here’s what happened: I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.). SheerID didn’t respond for days and then simply closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” I offered multiple times to provide documents (passport, student ID, enrollment confirmation), even to join a video call - they just ignored this. I have reached out to Figma support several times, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” But what am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests?   This is absolutely unprofessional behavior on SheerID’s side. I’m trying to find the CSS properties in dev tools for the glass effect, but can’t find any styles related to it at all. How do I share this with devs? There’s nothing as much as even a background blur mentioned. the only styles I can find are border radius and bg color, both of which I applied to my comp, and are not related to the glass effect at all. All help is much appreciated. TIA

If I have an element under an absolute in the layout, I can click on the element under that absolute, which is very annoying. I have multiple simultaneous clicks in my prototype.

Hi! Has the canvas panning keyboard shortcuts changed recently? I use Ctrl+Space+scroll wheel to pan and zoom the canvas but now that keyboard shortcut puts me into a Keyboard picking mode. Is this new? It really gets in the way of working.

Hi. I’m currently participating in a online bootcamp/school. The bootcamp admins asked for re-verification for all of us students but it’s still in the proces from Figma’s side. (Same as support tickets from the teachers)I tried to submit a support ticket myself, but was told to write here as I’m a student and don’t have a paid plan yet, so no direct support for me 😥The problem:Some of us students have warning that the education status has expired just on the left panel, some of us have it in yellow at the top panel and I myself and few other students are fully "locked" out of our homeworks and can only view thgem without being ablet do rest of them on time to get our marks.  We have last 10 days of our bootcamp and can’t finish it.Is there any way how to sort that kind of a problem? Thanks~

I encountered an odd problem about using “figma.createImage” to create a image hash. I have 3000+ image urls, I want to fetch image data, then convert to image hash  to display. When an error occurs, the console shows: "in :<unknow> Attempted to invoke callback with invalid id -xxxx". Can I somehow skip all the undeletable “custom style” and see my actual work palette as first thing in design mode?

I’ve been working on a branch for some time and just went to merge it back into master but there’s no option to do so?  I’ve also realised that if i try to copy anything from the branch it doesn’t copy into a new figma file at all, neither can I copy into this branch from master or another figma file either. It’s like the branch itself is no longer there but it does appear in the list of all branches still… I can’t even create a new branch and copy it all over and merge it that way as it doesn’t let me copy the elements!  Has anyone come across this same issue?   

In Figma Slides, when navigating to Grid view, you are able to configure the Page color. But when doing so, nothing changes. The background of the canvas remains #F5F5F5. It would be helpful to be able to differentiate the color of your slides from the background if the slide background is also #F5F5F5 (or a similar light grey).
