I have been encountering this issue for I do not know how long now, likely a year or more.Whenever I have a master component with different properties, for example a tab set with multiple tabs inside it (in this instance those are also individual components), which can be set to “idle” or “active”, which includes a color change.When I update something about the master component, such as removing the presence of an icon from each tab, the “idle” (default) states of the component instances will update and the icon is removed, but the “active” (non-default) instances will not update. The icon is still there.I encounter this most often with text, such as a message or alert component, where I change the text on the master, but for any non-default states of the instances, the text will not update. I have to reset, which returns every property to default, and then adjust all my properties again. Or manually update the text, which means it is now “custom” and will never automatically apply cha

This seems to only occur for bigger sizes like 3000x2000.I tried using the 'Import big images' plugin but that just makes the images look like a broken TV screen. I allowed extract canvas data for Figma, so I believe the availability of canvas data shouldn't be an issue.It’s not low quality because its a preview, because when export it, it’s still low quality.I’ve tried increasing the export size multiplier. It didn’t solve the issue.Scaling the image doesn't solve it either.

Issue Summary: My monthly quota of 20,000 Figma Make credits reset on October 2, 2026. While running routine, standard prompts with over 19,000+ credits remaining, my entire balance abruptly plummeted to zero.A total loss of 20,000 credits in under 24 hours is mathematically impossible under normal operations and far exceeds my typical monthly usage. This is an unmistakable system glitch that has completely blocked my workflow.Required Action: I require an immediate audit of my usage logs and prompt history to identify the system error, along with a full restoration of my depleted credit balance, or just fully refund my payment. In all the exisiting file:Created toggle variables in a component, but can’t assign it to any layers within the component. Variable option in appearance simply gone

It shows the current language as a flag and a short code, such as EN. Hovering reveals an arrow, and clicking opens a vertical dropdown below the control, containing flags and other language codes, such as DE, FR, and IT.How it is built:The selector is an instance of its own component set. Its closed, hover, and expanded dropdown states are separate variants. The dropdown is part of the expanded variant.The relevant interaction sequence is:- Closed state, 131 × 52: Mouse enter → Change to the wider hover state.- Hover state, 170 × 52: On click → Change to the expanded dropdown state.- Expanded state, 240 × 274: Mouse leave → Change to the closed state.These transitions use Smart Animate with Ease Out, approximately 150–200 ms.The selector sits inside layout frames within the Header:

I feel like I’ve never seen this before today… in short, when using “fill” to define width or height of a frame, I am expecting the width or height to be evenly distributed, but it seems to be changing the width /height based on the padding within the frame.Example: here is an autolayout frame holding 2 freeform frames, both of which are set to width=fill. When I apply autolayout to the red frame, I would expect it to maintain its existing width (95px, defined by it being set to “fill” its parent along with the other frame) and apply whatever it decides the horizontal and vertical padding should be. At least, that’s what I think it’s done for the last 8/9 years…But it doesn’t. It adds the width of the padding to the red frame, meaning the red and blue frames are now unequal widths (in this instance, figma decided the red frame should have 16px padding all round):What this means is, I cannot have equal width frames within an autolayout frame if:Any of them have inconsistent padding Any

I am trying to get a “make” prototype into a slide deck which is currently not possible.This link shows how you do it https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/37617790464535-Embed-a-Make-prototype-in-a-slide-deck-board-or-design-fileBut as you can see I do not have the needed drop down to click “Copy link as Make file.”  

I am on a Figma Edu plan for myself, and enabled the related settings in an article Manage MCP connectors for the Figma agent and Figma MakeHowever, I still cannot create any custom connectors (MCPs) in Figma Make since its button is gray. I have waited for a while already. 

When i prompt in Figma AI Agent , it’s already make for me a design , but the thing it im accidently press restore previous version in AI Agents chat , and i can’t restore it even the Figma file version doesn’t have that too , i don’t know how to restore or get back of the design of AI Agent make for me.

Hi!Hi!I just updated Figma (126.8.18) and now I have huge problems with simply copying and pasting objects, images, icons or text. When I copy and paste an object (on the left) in to a folder (see dark box on the right) it completely breaks the properties and decimal values. It stretches images and the auto width text feature breaks too and is set to Fixed size with a random / broken decimal value.It happens across all Figma projects. I’ve reset Figma and restarted the application and Mac.Help / Troubleshooting / Reset Figma and RestartCan anyone help?Thanx / F

Hey, with the latest update I noticed this: All three container in a row have the width set to fill. But now they scale differently if they have padding applied or not. Before theses blank frames to imitate a free slot did not need to have padding (autolayout) set. Check screenshots: blank child container width padding as others blank child container without padding

Hi Figma team,I've noticed what seems to be a recurring issue with Smart Animate on hover interactions in prototypes.For example, I have a component containing a video. On hover, the component transitions to another variant using Smart Animate, with a simple scale-down effect.When previewing the prototype, the video plays normally, but as soon as the hover interaction is triggered, the video freezes instead of continuing to play during and after the animation.The component does not have “Reset component state” enabled, so I would expect the video playback to remain uninterrupted when transitioning between variants.I've noticed similar issues across several components using hover interactions combined with Smart Animate, not just this specific video example. Hello! I have a prototype where I use numerous overlays. But for some reason whenever an overlay opens again a second time, it gets low resolutiın and blurry then stays that way until I refresh the prototype.  How can I solve this? Why does it happen? First time an overlay opens upSecond time an overlay opens up 

Why is it so easy to subscribe, but so difficult to unsubscribe. Regulators should look into it. Appears illegal. I cannot find how to stop my paid plan and subscription! 

Hi, Can I please get a response to a ticket logged about our license renewal. It has been almost 2 weeks and no response. 

I have lost an important file on Figma and I can’t find the file in any of my projects section or in the trash section. I suddenly lost access to it and the link stopped working. I checked all teams and its not in the trash for all of them and I believe that I created the link myself (no collaborators). Pasting the link it says the following in the screenshot below. I was using chatgpt to edit my figma file till yesterday today it is unable to connect suddenly, how can i fix this? 

I’m publishing my Make kit package (@my-org/figma-make-kit) to Figma’s npm registry from GitHub CI (currently 2.0.0), but when a user in our Org creats a new Make files using our Kit, Figma Make still pull the older kit-published version (1.0.0).When I try to update the kit in Figma via Edit items in kit + Update kit + Publish, Figma attempts to publish the package to Figma’s npm again and fails with “this package version already exists” and the Update kit modal also tries to bump the version (e.g., 2.0.1), which would then conflict with my CI publishing flow, as the next time we would try to publish from CI to Figma, we will get an error in CI “this package version already exists”.Is it possible to automate publishing of Figma Make Kits from our own CI?Why Figma Make is not able to consume the latest CI-published version to Figma’s npm registry without requiring Update kit to publish a new package version?
