EDIT: Slots does keep hug auto layout just not fill. thats the one i want ve started playing with the new Slots feature. it looks quite interesting but ive got quite the glaring issue that wont make it easy to continue using.This is my methodcreate component - fill horizontal hug vertical (lives in a variant component with fix)create another component - fixed horizontal hug verticalframe inside - fill horizontal hug verticalconvert that frame to slotadd the first component as a preferred component/slotWhen i take a instance of the component with the slot inside i go to add a slot preferred component.this gets added but this is a crucial issue - that instance inside the slot does not keep the auto layout “fill” on the horizontal plane. it does for the vertical tho.  this isnt too much of a bother for myself but i have other members of staff that might not do this every time. lea

I submitted my plugin for review on March 8th, and as of today (March 27th) I still haven't received any feedback from the Figma team. No approval, rejection, or requests for changes.That's over 20 days of waiting, while the submission form indicated a turnaround of 5-10 business days.Could anyone share how long the review process is currently taking? Is this wait time normal right now, or should I follow up somewhere specific?

I’m building a public Community plugin that integrates with POEditor. I need a reliable way to identify the current Figma file (file key/ID) so I can associate exported/imported translations with the correct file. This is important because text node IDs are not globally unique across files, so the same node ID can exist in different files.From the docs, it looks like figma.fileKey is only available to private plugins via enablePrivatePluginApi. Hi!Thanks to my university I have had access to figma and have used it a lot over the degree of ideation, designs and prototypes. I will be graduating this summer so will lose access to the account and wondered if there is anyway to export these files so I can keep my work? Ideally exporting as a file I can keep secure on a USB but if there is any other way that’d be great too! I just don’t want to lose my work! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me!!!

I need a single line of text to fit within a container without wrapping, breaking the boundary, or truncating. I need the text to get smaller when it gets too long to fit, either by reducing font size or overall scale. The text is dynamic, so I can’t reliably tell how long it will be to pick an ideal font size. Things I’ve tried: Standard left and right with top and bottom constraints, but if the text becomes too long, it wraps and breaks the boundary or truncates. Using text auto width with scale constraints, but the text just grows outside the boundary. Using text auto width then wrapping it with an auto layout, thinking the layout could hug the text and use scale constraints to get smaller, but hug resizing and scale constraints are mutually exclusive. Is there any way to do this dynamically?

New here so this might be a silly question. I’m trying to make a multi page app using figma make. After creating the first page, I can’t seem to find a way to move on to another page. Is this possible or do I have to create each one separately. Any ideas on ways of doing this?

I’m still stumped when it comes to how to tell my developer about padding and margin and special characters. I’d like the dev to use the … ellipsis special character but the best I could do in Figma is to tighten the letterspacing of three period characters, and leave a comment on the board. I’ve read here on the forums that designers are unable to communicate margin without an invisible spacer box?I have laid out this tiny card view which could show up as a card on its own, or have a active state with the yellow highlight ring, or have a photo under it. I’ve been playing around with Codex & today I installed the Figma plugin in order to try out some of the new features & skills such as creating a file, creating a design system, etc. Everything went well, I was able to log into my company Figma account and verify that all the skills were present. However, when I attempted to use some of these skills, I was told that I only had read only access.After this, I attempted to troubleshoot by quitting out of both Figma and Codex, uninstalling & reinstalling the plugin, turning on dev mode & enabling the local MCP server inside of Figma (I was using the remote server before), but nothing seems to work. Based on what I see in the instructions, it should theoretically work out of the box, so to speak.Has anybody encountered this problem before, and if so, how did you fix it? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong, or if there’s a flag that needs to be enabled on the administrative side that will let me use these skill

I'm building a web app in Figma Make and trying to set a custom favicon. I've tried two approaches so far: Adding <link rel="icon"> tags directly to index.html — but a favicon diagnostic tool confirms these tags aren't appearing in the served HTML, suggesting Figma Make generates its own HTML wrapper that overrides index.html. Placing favicon files in the /public folder — the diagnostic tool confirms /public files ARE served (it found favicon.ico at the root), but I can only create text-based files through the Figma Make code editor, not upload binary .png or .ico files. Is there a supported way to upload a custom binary favicon (PNG or ICO) to a Figma Make project? Or is there a way to make custom <link> tags in index.html pass through to the served HTML? Any workarounds w

I added the Figma MCP Server to mcp.json and tried both the global and workspace configurations. But, it throws the same error every time I try to start the server. I found suggestions online to use the Figma desktop app, ensure Node.js is installed, use a Figma Pro account, and try with a Personal Access Token (PAT). I simply wanted to delete it and re-register with the same correct email.Now I cannot create a new account with my university email. Hi Figma Team and CommunityI would like to inquire about the review status of my plugin（FontConversion）, which was submitted for review on March 20, 2026.It has been almost a month (approx. 20 business days) and the status is still showing as "In Review." I haven't received any emails regarding rejections or requests for changes yet.I understand there might be a high volume of submissions lately, but I wanted to make sure my submission didn't fall through the cracks, as the typical timeline is 5–10 business days.

Curious how others handle this, when you need to send a large batch of exported assets, final screens, or a full brand kit to a client who doesn't use Figma, Drive, or Dropbox, what do you actually do?Email is obviously out for anything above a few MB. I've tried WeTransfer but the free limit is too low for video prototypes and full export sets. Asking clients to sign up for yet another tool is always awkward.What I've been using lately is TransferSecure (transfersecure.ai), 5 GB free, recipient doesn't need an account, and you get a notification when they've actually downloaded it, which helps for following up. Has password protection too for sensitive brand assets.But curious if others have found better solutions or if there's a workflow inside Figma itself I'm missing.
