Hello,

I’m a designer, I don’t need AI doing my work and nagging me constantly in the interface. It doesn’t work, it’s useless and I don’t want it.

It’s relentlessly pushed in the interface at each update, more and more aggressively (i just had to disable AI agent on the canvas for being bale to work) .

I don’t want any of these “features”.

What can I do?

Note: I already disabled the AI training.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback! I understand you'd prefer not to use AI features and would like a way to completely disable them.

At the moment, we don't currently have an in-product setting that allows users to fully disable all AI features across Figma. (AI features cannot be disabled once they've been enabled for the team. Once AI features are turned on, they're permanently enabled on your account).
The Content training setting is separate and only controls whether content can be used to train Figma's AI model. It doesn't affect access to AI features.

If you're part of an Enterprise organization, organization admins may have access to additional AI controls at the organization level.
You can find more information here: Manage AI settings and content training for your team or organization

If you're unsure whether AI settings have been configured at the organization level for your account, please reach out to our Support team and they'll be happy to take a closer look. To do that, go to the Support Hub / Type “Disable ai features, contact agent” / Click Start a chat and select Enter , then follow the prompts. Thanks!

OK thank you. I never turned on any AI feature, but the design agent was all over my design nonetheless so I guess it was activated automatically.

I contacted the support.

thx.

Im having the same problem. was presenting some work today after updating figma, and now an AI assistant voice started speaking for no reason.  I couldnt find any way to turn it off.

I’ve also noticed the ‘agents’ feature that shows a dotted blue line around elements ends up making changes without permission. This is terrible. I too want to remove all AI from my Figma interface as its slowing me down.

Hey @Todd Padwick, thanks for reporting this. I have a few follow-up questions to better understand what happened.

Regarding the voice issue, can you provide more details on what the voice was doing? For example, was it reading content aloud, giving spoken instructions, or something else? There is no text-to-speech or audio output feature in Figma's agent, so this is worth looking into further. If you were presenting on a Mac, it's also worth checking whether Siri may have activated — this can happen system-wide, regardless of which app is open. You can check by going to System Settings → Apple Intelligence & SiriSiri Requests → confirm "Listen for" is turned off.

For the unexpected changes in the file, please reply with the following:

  1. The steps leading up to the unexpected behavior, or more details on what you were doing right before you noticed the changes.
  2. Whether anyone else was working in the file at the same time or if they had edit access.
  3. Whether you're using Figma Design on a supported browser or, if using the Figma Desktop App, that it's version 126.6.11 or later.

If you'd like to hide the agent from your canvas while we sort this out, go to the main Figma menu in the upper left → Preferences → uncheck "Show Agents on Canvas".

Please share those details and I'll make sure your report reaches the right team. 🙏🏻
