Hi guys, I subscribed to figma not because I just wanted to use Figma Make. I thought the AI worked for designs as well, just like https:sleek.design, but unfortunately for me, what is made, can’t be edited on Figma Design. How do I cancel this subscribtion. It’s been taking almost £22 from my account monthly - no matter what I do.Many thanks.Abe

I want to pay for the design of the Figma Make AI, but I don't want to pay for the subscription, as I'm not a web designer and I don't think I'll be using Figma for any other projects anytime soon.That's why I need to know if it's possible to pay only for the finished product and not the monthly/annual fee.Thanks in advance,

I'm a design engineer and I have an offer from Figma. Comp is great, team is really strong, and I've always admired the product. A few months ago this would've been an instant yes.I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm hesitating.Figma just opened their canvas to AI agents via MCP so now Claude Code, Cursor, Codex etc. can create and modify designs directly in Figma files using your design system. On paper that sounds bullish for Figma. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if it's a sign that the design file itself is becoming obsolete. If agents can go from a product brief straight to production code, iterating visually in real time what's the Figma file even for? I've been building UIs with Claude and Cursor lately and honestly the output is getting pretty close to what I'd produce in Figma first. The gap is closing fast.So I want objective advice from people deep in this community: Has AI already changed how many people on your team actually need

 I ran into a font issue while working with MCP use_figma and wanted to share it here. I have a font installed on my system (Pretendard) that works perfectly fine in the Figma UI — it shows up as "Installed by you" in the font picker. However, it's completely invisible to the Plugin API when running through MCP use_figma. listAvailableFontsAsync() returns around 7,600 fonts, but none of them are locally installed ones. It seems to only return Google Fonts.loadFontAsync() also fails, and trying to appendChild a component instance that contains text using the font throws a font load error — even into a non-auto-layout frame. Steps to Reproduce 1. Install a local font on your system (I tried both ~/Library/Fonts/ and /Library/Fonts/ on macOS) 2. Confirm the font shows up normally in the Figma UI 3. Hi all,I’m currently updating and simplifying my button library. At the moment, the leading and trailing icons are set up as separate variants of the button, which means I have to manage them across all states (default, hover, active, disabled).To improve this, I’m trying to use the new slots update so I can combine everything into a single component - using one slot that includes two icons and a text element - rather than relying on multiple icon variants.However, I’m running into an issue:When I edit the button layout (for example, moving or removing an icon) and then switch the button to a different state, the colours of the icons and text don’t update - they stay the same.I’ve set up variables to handle global colour changes across the buttons, but these don’t seem to apply correctly to elements inside the slots when switching between states (default, hover, active, disabled).Does anyone know how I can ensure the colours of element

My bottom navbar disappears in prototype view mode whenever I set it to “Fixed(Stay in place)”. I want the navbar visible during scrolling.

Hello! I have submitted Figma plugin for the review, but I did not get any confirmation email or any communication it went through. I saw in the docs it says 5-10 days, but I am not sure if it got received correctly?Also, another question, I just found out there is another plugin that is called Framify (which was published a month ago), would that be a good reason to deny my plugin, because it’s also called same name? I wonder if I would have to redo everything, or how would people be able to differentiate? Any recommendations, suggestions?  Here are the screens for my plugin. 

Hi everyone.I’m new to Figma and UI/UX design. I’m trying to make a feature table for a product. I made the table which consists of 2 columns and 8 rows and it’s an Autolayout. When I set the width of the cells to “fixed”, the table is responsive to resizing but when adding text to the cell, parts of the text appear out of the frame. Setting the width to “hug content” fixes this issue but this pushes the cells out of the frame and also the table is no longer responsive to resize. Please help :’) 

I have been using Figma make for a project and its actually been great, but for the last week (started Monday, currently Friday) I have been getting the same error message! I have plenty of credits.  I have installed the app, restarted my router, called my internet people, logged a help desk reqeust and still no luck. I see a few other people have had the same problem, but there was no solution posted, it just started magically ‘working again’… so I’m hoping this post is the bit of magic I need to get cracking on with my project. 👯 

I’m using a popover component with a slot. One of the items inside the slot is a fixed-height auto-layout container with a list of items. I want this list to overflow:scroll vertical, however, the prototype scroll options are disabled. I tried nesting this in a new frame and the scroll options are disabled for this new frame as well.I’m trying to avoid breaking the original component and utilize the slot. Is scrolling only preserved for the slot itself or can you embed scrollable items within a slot?Here’s a video showing more detail:  

Hi everyone,I used to copy an image (Ctrl+C from browser or local folder) and then paste it (Ctrl+V) directly into an image component in Figma - like for cards or avatar images - and it would automatically replace the image.But recently, this no longer works. When I try pasting, nothing happens. Now Figma only shows options like “Upload from computer” or “Make an image” (screenshot attached).I’m wondering: is this a recent change or bug in Figma?Is there still a way to paste an image directly into a component without having to upload it manually?Thanks in advance!  

Is everyone around here ever able to use Template styles in Figma Slides? EVERY time we paste a slide from another presentation, it creates a ‘new’ template so we end up with a dropdown full of slightly similar templates styles and it is impossible to delete them unless I switch every culprit style to the ‘main’ style. But doing usually changes things around so we just gave up trying to use them 😭 Here is a screenshot of the dropdown in most of our slide decks: 

Was hoping for some clarity in regards to how credit consumption works with an initial prototype design prompt (20 credits) vs an iteration prompt to refine the result? Similarly, how does the credit consumption work with multi-faceted refinement/iteration prompts vs single task based refinements?Thanks 

Hi everyone,I’m facing a confusing issue. A colleague and I are working on the same Figma file, but our Layers Panels look different.As you can see in the attached screenshot, my colleague can see actual image thumbnails (visual previews) next to the layer names in the panel. On my side, I only see the standard generic icons (like the hashtag for frames or the square for rectangles).We are both using the same file, but I cannot find a way to enable this visual preview. Is there a way to turn this on? Could it be related to the Figma version (Desktop app vs. Browser)? Does it require a specific plugin that I might be missing? It would be very helpful to have this visual guide for organization. Any ideas on why this is happening?Thank you! 

I am being invited to view a file, but when I click accept, it says it is restricted. This has happened with three different files for one of my co-workers. An outside organization is sending us access to view, but when we click accept in our email, it still says restricted. I have clicked " ask to be added,” and I have asked the other organization, but they are not getting emails that I am doing this. My email is correct, and I have cleared my cache. I have double checked that they have sent view access and they have done all the same steps for my manager and he has no issuing accessing the files. But me and my co-worker do, we have done everything on our part but there is clearly a Figma issue. This has been going on for 2 weeks.

I am not getting any respones or new tickets raised for quite a simple issue.

I submitted my plugin for review on March 8th, and as of today (March 27th) I still haven't received any feedback from the Figma team. No approval, rejection, or requests for changes.That's over 20 days of waiting, while the submission form indicated a turnaround of 5-10 business days.Could anyone share how long the review process is currently taking? Is this wait time normal right now, or should I follow up somewhere specific?

Hi, would love any help and support possible from the community. I have been using Figma Make constantly for the past 3 months to build an app idea that I have.  Yesterday at 5pm PST figma Make stopped accepting my prompts, it goes from “Thinking”, to “Summarizing chat history….” and then times out with a internet connection error.  My internet is working great, speed tested using other apps.  I am still connected to Supabase and the app still displays and works on the figma screen.  I can’t use the AI Chat at all and am at a standstill.I also noticed yesterday in Figma Make that after my prompts and Figmas response, I use to have a version number of the updated version.  All of a sudden yesterday before this issue I don’t have version numbers anymore.  I have an up thumb, down thumb, and ai icon shat shows how many AI credits I used.Complete side note.  I have been told that my account will start tracking AI credits as of tomorrow.I am not tecnic

Hi! During the opening keynote at Schema 2025 (on October 28), the Figma team announced a new left navbar as part of the updated UI, mentioning it would start rolling out the following week.It’s been a few weeks since then, and I’ve already received an app update, but I still don’t see that new sidebar.Is the rollout still in progress, or is there something I need to do to enable it?
