I’ve been playing around with Codex & today I installed the Figma plugin in order to try out some of the new features & skills such as creating a file, creating a design system, etc. Everything went well, I was able to log into my company Figma account and verify that all the skills were present. However, when I attempted to use some of these skills, I was told that I only had read only access.After this, I attempted to troubleshoot by quitting out of both Figma and Codex, uninstalling & reinstalling the plugin, turning on dev mode & enabling the local MCP server inside of Figma (I was using the remote server before), but nothing seems to work. Based on what I see in the instructions, it should theoretically work out of the box, so to speak.Has anybody encountered this problem before, and if so, how did you fix it? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong, or if there’s a flag that needs to be enabled on the administrative side that will let me use these skill

I’m trying to publish some changes to my site and I keep getting an error message saying “Update attempt not successful” - has anyone else encountered this?

When i pusblish my figma site, it is SO incredibly slow and not responsive at all. Furthermore the interactions are either moved or completely missing, when i go into my design file and run the prototype it is completely different. Also is there a prototype share link for the figma site or does it have to be published??

I have a component for form options that on some occasions needs a tooltip. The problem is that if you set the text layer to Hug, the text will not wrap for narrow content areas. And if set to Fill, it pushes the icon component. I really just want it to function like html <p> My text label <span>[icon]<span></p>Because of this issue, designers need to detach the core component just to add a tooltip (and the they use the incorrect icon size and style). Or they are just slapping the icon and moving it over the component just so it ‘looks’ like its at the end of the paragraph. This is frustrating me to no end. Figma is supposed to be a tool to create web interfaces, yet the most basic of web features, inline-block text isn’t possible to accomplish. Is there a hack? 

How do I add the icons I designed to the library in the left sidebar of FigJam?

I'd like to recover it, but when I try to use the deleted account to create a new one with the same email address, I get a "request failed". I deleted my account 6 hours ago. Do I have to wait longer to create it again? I've already tried a different browser and incognito mode, but it doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

Hey everyone,I’ve been exploring raster to vector conversion and realized that the quality of the final vector really depends on the process used.Sometimes auto-trace works okay, but other times the result looks messy with too many points or uneven lines. Manual vectorizing seems cleaner, but it takes more time and skill.I wanted to ask:How do you decide between auto-tracing and manual vectorization? What settings or techniques help get smoother, more accurate paths? How do you handle low-resolution or blurry raster images? Any tips for keeping file sizes small while maintaining quality?

Hello, I was attempting to delete an old project, and accidentally deleted ALL OF MY FIGMA FILES - including an app high-fidelity wireframe design that is meant to go into production May 1. Is there any way these files still exist on the back end somewhere?? I would be more than happy to upgrade!Please help!

Hi,I created a Make prototype.Then I created a different Make prototype.For example, A website with 5 pages.The first prototype is the first 3 pages and the second is the next 2 pages.Now I want to put them together into a single prototype. What is the best way to do this in Make? 

The account items for Figma login have disappeared, as if I logged in，It's like logging in with a new account, but the login email and password are for a new account.(screenshot redacted by the moderator due to PII) 

I added the Figma MCP Server to mcp.json and tried both the global and workspace configurations. But, it throws the same error every time I try to start the server. I found suggestions online to use the Figma desktop app, ensure Node.js is installed, use a Figma Pro account, and try with a Personal Access Token (PAT). Hi everyone - hoping someone can help or confirm whether this is expected behaviour.I have a parent component with children (radio option, list item) all set to Fill for horizontal resizing. The parent frame uses auto-layout.What I expect: When I insert an instance from the Assets panel into a frame set to auto-layout, the instance should fill the container — matching the resizing properties I set in the parent component.What actually happens: Instances inserted from the Assets panel come in at a fixed width. I have to manually set each one to "Fill container" every time.                                                                                        The confusing part: If I drag the same component directly from the canvas into the frame, it does fill correctly. So  the behaviour exists — it just doesn't carry over when inserting from Assets.My questio

Y’all, how can I connect Stripe, so my desktop app made with Figma Make can collect payment? Is it even possible? I have wasted an entire month of credits prompting, time watching videos, and even more time on Code Mentoring sites looking for help to try to figure out how to get this app to accept a payment. I dont want to leave Figma, but I fear this is my only recourse, if I want to collect payment for this app. I am sure, I am missing something but I cannot figure out what/

I want to duplicate a Make file to start at version 1 and not show all of the previous versions of the original. How do I do this?

EDIT: Slots does keep hug auto layout just not fill. thats the one i want ve started playing with the new Slots feature. it looks quite interesting but ive got quite the glaring issue that wont make it easy to continue using.This is my methodcreate component - fill horizontal hug vertical (lives in a variant component with fix)create another component - fixed horizontal hug verticalframe inside - fill horizontal hug verticalconvert that frame to slotadd the first component as a preferred component/slotWhen i take a instance of the component with the slot inside i go to add a slot preferred component.this gets added but this is a crucial issue - that instance inside the slot does not keep the auto layout “fill” on the horizontal plane. it does for the vertical tho.  this isnt too much of a bother for myself but i have other members of staff that might not do this every time. lea

Hi Figma team,I currently have 7 plugins that are still in the “In Review” status. The longest one has been waiting for about 1.5 months, and the others have also been pending for several weeks.I understand that plugin reviews can take time, but this delay has made it difficult to plan releases, update users, and continue improving these plugins.
