## Question I'm building an AI-powered design automation platform that needs to:1. Accept design requirements as text input2. Generate complete designs programmatically3. Output to Figma for user editing/refinement I was excited about Figma MCP as the solution, but after thorough testing, it seems **the `use_figma` tool cannot actually create or modify design elements**. ## What I've Tried **Setup:**- Figma OAuth with full scopes: `current_user:read`, `file_content:read`, `file_dev_resources:write`- Direct JSON-RPC calls to official Figma MCP server- Manually created template Figma file- Instructed MCP to create hero sections, text, buttons, etc. **Result:**- MCP accepted requests without error- **Zero changes to the Figma file**- File remained blank after design generation ## What Works vs What's Missing ### ✅ Works- Read file metadata- Get design context (read layout, styles)- Export as PNG/SVG- Post comments- Apply design suggestions ### ❌ Doesn't Work / Missing- Insert frames or co

Is there a limit to the number of interactions i can have in a single design file?

Our team is noticing that our main design system library is having hundreds of changes flagged in the publishing panel, even after a weekend of not working on the library. The panel shows what’s modified, removed, or added, but isn’t clear what the changes are or what caused them. It’s scary publishing these types of updates because they aren’t coming from our team. Is this something being caused by Figma? How can we feel comfortable publishing so many changes when we weren’t even the ones making them? 

Hi Figma Support,I’m now facing a problem that our company’s account was registered with an gmail address and now we try to transfer the account and the file to another email address (with our company domain).I would like to know that after I let one team member’s account become the admin, does that mean I can remove the original account?  Plus, the original address owned the annual full seat, would it be possible that i can change another account to the annual full seat from the monthly full seat?Would it be risky that I just delete the original account? Will I loose all my files >< Thanks for your helping~!

Hi everyone, I’m working on a Figma project with a growing number of components and variants, and I’m wondering how others manage large design systems efficiently.What approaches have worked well for keeping components organized, maintaining consistent variants, and making updates easier across multiple files?I’m especially interested in tips for managing component libraries, variants, naming conventions, and reusable design elements without making the file difficult to maintain.Would love to hear what workflows or best practices have worked for others.

I cannot figure out how to use auto layout space between like this Youtube video - I have 2 auto layout components that are in a auto layout component wit 1440 width.  How can I Put equal spacing between so they are positioned to the front and end of the nav. How can I add padding to the left side of the logo (first component)?

I verify my account very first time for the student education plan. I enter every details which asked by FIGMA But when I click on verify my account it directly says VERIFICATION LIMIT EXCEEDED although I verify my account very first time.I also contact SheerID support and tell them my issues on monday 17 Aug but still no rersponse from them. I have started working on project on my account and now we have a published Library in the team with the components and UI kit etc and 3 files which are connected to this Library and Using styles from the UI-kid from that library. Now we want to transfer this Library and those 3 files to another account of the organization and we need to save all the connections between the Library and those 3 Files, so after the tranfering it would work the same way I have it on my account, but on the account of organization. What possible ways to implement this? tnx

I am graduating from college in December and know that my Education plan will expire soon. I am especially concerned because I’m preparing to apply for graduate school and need to keep updating my portfolio, which is published on Figma Sites right now.What will happen to my Figma Sites portfolio once my Education Plan expires? Will it become unpublished? Should I start transferring my portfolio to another website builder?Thank you.

Hello,I'm having a problem with the text tool. There's a sort of line across the text block, and part of it is invisible. When I test with shorter text, there's no problem. I reopened some old drafts I made six months ago and discovered that this line is now present in the text blocks... I don't understand what's happening. Does anyone have any ideas?Here's a screenshot of my problem.  

Hi, when I want to explain design decisions on components that are interactive on click (for example in multi-step elements: you click the main component and it expands to a larger area), I'm unable to place a comment on the variants that are in a different location than the starting component. Placing the comment in the component that is outside the prototype results in the comment not being there at all. Can it be made possible to add comments to a component that is not directly visible on the prototype? For an example see this figma file:  

Hi all,I have a UI dashboard design as an Image, and looking to convert it into a Figma Design, i have used plugins: Convert  to Figma Design and CodeTea, but CodeTea after creating it, when i ungroup any section of the Dashboard it breaks entire UI, any recommended plugins or online tools, out there which converts the dashboard exactly as it is and without breaking the UI when editing it?  

Hi Figma Community, I have a tricky situation with my educational plan, and since there is a ton of information, I want to ask you about a possible solution to my problem. I have had an educational plan with Figma since I started my bachelor’s in 2023. I applied my educational plan to my personal email and haven’t received any warnings from Figma about that. 1 week ago, I received an email that I need to re-verify my educational plan, but the problem is that it’s not on my educational email, and thus I cannot proceed with the verification.  I need an educational plan until February 2027 and would greatly appreciate it if I could continue using my current account without transferring my projects. So the following questions would be:How did Figma allow me to use my personal account back in 2023? Did the rules change? Will I be able to reverify myself with the personal email if I can 100% prove that I’m enrolled in the university? If verification with my personal email is not possible, wh

I'm having a problem with the text tool

Curious if anyone has insight into what’s coming next in Buzz. Are there plans to make timeline animation available in templates? It would be great to go beyond non-animated assets for ads – a product carousel, for instance.

I have a cube shape and I’ve rounded the corners to 24. I want to animate the width while keeping the rounded corner proportionate. In After Effects you can do this by animating the size. I see there is an option for that in Figma but after setting the key frames nothing happens. Animating the Layout width also does the same thing. I can even actively move the width but when it comes to animating it once the keyframes are set it just says at its starting width. It just stays at its current width. Anyone else have this problem?

[Figma Make + Supabase] 게시글이 새로고침하면 사라지고, 다른 기기에서 안 보여요 (Claude와 같이 해봐도 해결이 안 됐어요)제가 원하는 것학생자치회 통합 플랫폼을 만들고 있는데, 누군가 게시글을 올리면 그 글이 사라지지 않고 계속 저장되면서, 다른 사람이 다른 기기/브라우저로 접속했을 때도 똑같이 보이길 원해요. 지금은 새로고침하면 방금 올린 글이 사라지고, 다른 브라우저로 열면 그 글이 아예 안 보여요. 즉, 데이터가 여러 사람/기기 사이에서 공유되고 계속 남아있는 게 목표예요.지금까지 시도한 것Figma Make 설정에서 Supabase 계정을 연결했어요. Figma Make AI에게 "게시글을 슈퍼베이스에 저장하고 모든 페이지에서 공유되게 해달라"고 요청했어요. AI가 백엔드(서버 쪽 로직) 코드를 새로 짜줬고, "이제 Edge Function을 배포해야 한다"고 안내했어요. Figma Make 화면에 있는 배포 버튼을 눌렀는데 "배포할 코드가 없다"는 메시지가 나왔어요. 그래서 슈퍼베이스 대시보드에 직접 들어가서, Edge Function을 새로 만들고 AI가 짜준 코드를 그대로 복사해서 붙여넣고 배포까지 완료했어요. 그런데도 여전히 게시글이 새로고침하면 사라지고, 브라우저 콘솔에는 CORS(브라우저가 다른 주소로 요청 보낼 때 막히는 문제) 관련 에러가 계속 떠요. Claude(AI 챗봇)한테 상황을 계속 설명하면서 같이 시도했는데도 해결이 안 됐어요.궁금한 점Figma Make의 배포 버튼이 원래 자동으로 해줘야 하는 걸, 제가 슈퍼베이스에 직접 들어가서 수동으로 배포한 게 맞는 방법이었는지 잘 모르겠어요. 이렇게 수동으로 배포한 경우, Figma Make 쪽에서 추가로 다시 연결하거나 설정해줘야 하는 게 있는 건지 궁금해요. 비슷하게 "게시글이 저장 안 됨 + CORS 에러" 겪으신 분 있으면, 정확히 어떤 부분이 원인이었는지 알고 싶어요.

I have been using Figma make for a project and its actually been great, but for the last week (started Monday, currently Friday) I have been getting the same error message! I have plenty of credits.  I have installed the app, restarted my router, called my internet people, logged a help desk reqeust and still no luck. I see a few other people have had the same problem, but there was no solution posted, it just started magically ‘working again’… so I’m hoping this post is the bit of magic I need to get cracking on with my project. 👯

My Drafts are empty. My profile picture has reverted to the default initial instead of the custom image I've always had. My account settings (email, name) are still correct. Hi Figma team,I'd like to request a per-account option to disable the AI sparkle (✦) icon that appears when hovering over elements in the editor.Currently, the only way to turn off Figma AI features is at the team admin level, which requires admin access and affects all team members. There's no way for an individual user to opt out of the AI hover trigger on their own account.For users who don't use Figma AI, this icon adds visual noise to the editing experience and can interfere with the workflow — especially when working with dense layers or small elements, where the sparkle icon overlaps with other controls.Requested behavior: add a toggle in user account preferences (e.g. Account Settings → Editor preferences) to show/hide the AI sparkle icon on hover, independently from team-level AI settings.Thank you for considering this!

I want to build a copy component with the following layers structure:copyComponentWrapper: parent componentproperties:  - copychildren Instances:  - desktopCopy (instance of copyComponent): has > 12 variants  - mobileCopy (instance of copyComponent): has > 12 variantsI have solved this with a single component that holds the desktopCopy and mobileCopy as different text layers, but it generates more than 100 variations, which is of course, undesireable.I’ve read previous posts and it looks like linking children properties to parent properties is still not available.I also know that can expose nested properties, but this implies that I have to enter the same copy twice in two different placeholders and it’s very confusing for the designer, and it also multiplies by 2 all variable integrations that I’m using with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.So… is there any other option that I haven’t explored yet? As the exploited solution is very… non scalable.
