Hi everyone! I’m building a complex character system and ran into an issue with overrides.My setup:I have separate component sets for different clothing styles: Business, Workers, Science, Tech, etc..Each style has a large set of arm poses (about 36 variants like Holding L, Relaxed, etc.) and leg poses.I use a main "Human" component where I swap these outfits using Instance Swap.The problem:When I select a specific pose (e.g., Holding L) in the Workers style and then switch the outfit to Science, Figma resets the pose to the default one instead of keeping Holding L.What I've tried:Keeping the layer names identical across all styles (e.g., the arm layer is always named Arms).Using Nested Instances to surface the pose properties.My question:Is there a way to "link" these separate clothing components so Figma understands that Pose: Holding L in Workers is the same as Pose: Holding L in Science? Or do I have to m

I am not a professional designer, but I have been tasked with creating a simple website for the gym where I work.I am using the Figma Sites feature, but I am having trouble creating the mobile menu.In the image, the top menu is for web and tablet use, and I would like to use the bottom section as the mobile menu.I want the mobile menu to normally appear as a left-hand menu with a '+' button, but when the '+' is clicked, it should change to a '-' like the right-hand menu and expand downwards.I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Hi all,I would like to add the font size Cabinet Grotesk  in figma as it is not recognized so this makes it difficult with optimization to 'hug' the texts in the 'phrames'.  I would like to add the lettertype and I have a file with all the sizes. When I want to add it to settings, in my AI built website, and choose 'Fonts' in my file I read the following: 'No web fonts needs to be uploaded’, see screenshot below.Does anyone know how to solve this? I am out of credits… perhaps this is a problem? I can optimize the text when I change the lettertype in a known font. Or is it recommended to change the font lettertype once transferred to wordpress? Thank you in advance, Vicky

Hi guys, I’ve been using Figma make since november, it was so great, efficient, a real life changing solution!But since it became a paid service it’s a real nightmare!! Much less efficient, kind of dumb for basic request. It’s like they want us to ruin the tokens left so we pay for more! Am I the only one having this feeling, I’m sooooooooo disappointed Thanks for your feedback

Hello Community,We’re looking to upgrade to the Organization plan and would like to purchase 9 Full seats and 4 Developer seats.Our challenge is that, on the Starter plan, there doesn’t appear to be an in‑product way to download a PDF invoice / quote / proformabefore completing the Organization upgrade flow. We understand invoices are only available after purchase under Admin → Billing → Invoices.However, our internal procurement process requires a pre‑payment invoice (or equivalent document) before we can proceed with payment.Has anyone successfully handled this scenario?Were you able to obtain a pre‑payment invoice or quote from Figma? I’m building a portfolio/website using Figma Sites. On my homepage, I have different containers for each project, and my goal is that when I click on a project, instead of opening a new page, it triggers an overlay on top of the homepage showing that project’s text and images.I created an interactive banner using code so I could reuse the same template for every project. Now that I’m starting to replace the content, I’ve realized I need a better way to update the images for each project.Right now, the only method I’ve found is to manually drop the images into the Figma file, convert each one into code, and then copy that code as an import into the original banner so the component knows where the image is coming from.I’m wondering if there’s an easier way to manage this—ideally a place where I can store all my images and update them whenever needed. Everything else on the site can be changed with simple copy/paste, so I’m hoping images can work the same way.

I’m using a popover component with a slot. One of the items inside the slot is a fixed-height auto-layout container with a list of items. I want this list to overflow:scroll vertical, however, the prototype scroll options are disabled. I tried nesting this in a new frame and the scroll options are disabled for this new frame as well.I’m trying to avoid breaking the original component and utilize the slot. Is scrolling only preserved for the slot itself or can you embed scrollable items within a slot?Here’s a video showing more detail:  

Hello, I have been trying to make this feature work with my custom template, but it seems that no matter what I do and what changes I make to the template, it still comes out wrong. Here are the main issues: every result is different, even when using same materials (texts) and template AI converts random slides to dark mode where it is not supposed to be in dark mode AI uses the Agenda slide as a section header or presentation cover Section header slides are inconsistent, always different AI makes its text + image slide on its own (not from template) AI resizes font sizes of slides it does use from template I tried:Renaming layers, auto layouts, frames, etc. to their intended purposes Detaching instances from main components (from a different file) Putting all content of a slide into a (renamed) frame to show its purpose Organizing slides based on intention (cov

Sometimes it loads fine, but other times it’s either really slow or just doesn’t open on the first try. Hi, I’m new to Figma and I’m trying to bring an existing Angular project into Figma for design and editing purposes.My project is already implemented in Angular (HTML, CSS/SCSS, components), and I’d like to know: Is there a way to import an existing Angular project (UI + styles) into Figma? Can Figma automatically convert HTML/CSS into editable frames/components? Are there any recommended tools or plugins to achieve this (e.g., HTML → Figma)? What is the best workflow to sync or recreate an existing frontend project inside Figma? No image loaded when publishing 

Hello Figma Community and Support Team,I am reaching out here as a last resort. I have submitted the contact form multiple times over the past [Time Period, e.g., two weeks] regarding a persistent issue, but I have yet to receive a resolution or a definitive follow-up. I understand the team is busy, but this is currently blocking my workflow/business procurement. If a community manager or support representative could please look into this or escalate my previous tickets, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you for your time and help.

  I'm using Figma's Simple Design System (SDS). I added a new Mode to the Typography Primitives collection so I can switch to a different font.When I tested it directly in the SDS project file itself, I can easily select the mode and change to a different font without any issues.However, after I publish the SDS library and add it to another project file to use, I can no longer select or switch the mode to change the font.Does anyone know why this is happening? Please help me out. Thank you! 

Hi, I want to ask, I wonder if we can remove the color from On This Page section? Or I need to make specific library color for each project? 

How do I get to see colors defined in extended collections in the ‘Fill’ section?For example- I wanted to add a color from ‘RF Colors’, but the only ones I can see are from the ‘1 Semantic Colors’ section. 

Is there a way to copy Design files and paste it in another project folder, or a option to copy to <Folder Name> just like we have Move to..?

Hi, I can’t find how to add variables for those two fields. Is it possible?

I don’t know if this is a bug or simply a feature I don’t get: Shadows look completely different when applied to a shape with a fill vs. an auto layout of the same dimensions with the same fill. Even stranger, when clip content is applied to the auto layout the shadow looks the same as it does on the shape.Is there anything I can do to ensure a shadow renders the same whether or not it is applied to a shape, a frame or other object? And what’s with the clip content difference? I would have expected the shadow to look different with clip content enabled, not the other way around.I’d be much obliged if anyone could enlighten me. 

I’m working on a prototype of a website to purchase tickets for events, and I have the checkout process set up like this:Go to ‘Schedule’,Select the show (in this case, the show for ‘Mello Quake’),Select ‘Add To Cart’, which redirects you to your cart.Note: When adding to cart, this toggles a “Cart” variable to be set to “True”, which will change the ‘Add to Cart’ button to a variant that reads “View in Cart”. Both buttons have an animated hover state.From there, you are able to empty the cart by making the counter in the cart go to ‘0’. A pop up will appear as a warning, letting you know that this will empty the cart, and ask the user if that’s what they want to do. When testing this, I have been hitting “Yes” to empty the cart. Doing this will set the “Cart” variable to “False”. Ideally, when the “Cart” variable is set back to false, the button on the show page will change back to the “Add to Cart” varia

When iterating with UI changes with Figma Make, I have to constantly copy either the zip file over to my IDE or manually copy the code changes.Is there anyway I can have my account connected on Cursor and prompt Figma via Cursor chat so it can directly make changes to my codebase.Thanks!
