Figma Make — "You do not seem to have sufficient permissions for the operation" when creating a GitHub repository
I'm trying to create a new GitHub repository from within Figma Make using the Create Repository flow in Make settings > GitHub. My personal GitHub account ("ChozaChat") is authorized through the Figma GitHub app with access to all repositories, and there are no restrictions such as two-factor authentication or IP allow lists on my account.
The repository is successfully created on GitHub's end, but Figma Make still returns the error: "You do not seem to have sufficient permissions for the operation." After the error, the Push to... option does not appear, suggesting the link between the Make file and the repository was not fully established.
I've tried deleting the repository on GitHub and re-running the Create Repository flow from Figma Make at least 5 times, but the same error occurs every time. I did not clone from an existing repository — this Make file was created from scratch.
Any help investigating the connection between Figma Make and the GitHub API during the repository creation flow would be appreciated.
Figma support bot gave this text to me after trying troubleshooting. How can I get rid of this problem?
