How to update all elements’ text layers to the new font rendering type?

This issue has been happening on and off today which is preventing me from moving forward. Is anyone else seeing this? It’s also happening to the published version. 

We are using the licensed Font Awesome in our team. Recently I started to use Figma Make but it turns all the FA icons into regular text. I have flatten the icons to shape layer before adding to Figma Make; but it’s not very sustainable for the long run. Has anyone managed to connect FA or any other font in the FM guidelines?

I'm creating a Text Input and I have an icon that can change to a badge, for example. However, when I swap the icon for the badge, it inherits the border radius from the Text Input's property and doesn't keep the badge's.Example: The Instance Swap has 0px, and the badge has a 4px border radius. When I do the instance swap, the badge appears with a 0px border radius and not the 4px defined for the badge. And this happens with any other component I swap.Is there a way to make the Instance Swap retain the characteristics of the component chosen in the swap?

Our web vs. our Figma componentHi everyone,I’m looking for a better way to maintain consistent widths for component instances across responsive breakpoints (Tablet/Mobile).Currently, everything works perfectly on Desktop where instance widths are fixed. However, the layout breaks when using min-width and max-width for smaller screens. I’ve experimented with Layout Grids, but they leave awkward empty spaces below when an instance's visibility is toggled off.I’ve considered making every single row toggleable, but that feels like a bloated, confusing experience for the designers using the library.Does anyone have a solid workflow or a "holy grail" file for handling these responsive group cases? I’d love to see how you’re structuring your layers!

For the past few months I’ve been able to see my images on my file but for the past few days all the previews have disappeared & I’ve tried to update Figma, update my computer, clear my Figma cache and nothing has worked. The images are still within the Figma but I just can’t view them

Hi, everyone! I got a new phone, installed the Figma mobile app on it, and logged in, but every time I try to use the Mirror function, I get this error, saying Update or switch browsers. I tried everything, updated the browsers, switched between Opera and Chrome, logged in and out and nothing seemed to work. (My phone is Xiaomi Mi9 lite, with Android 10) Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue?

I often use the Tab key to navigate back and forth between various text objects on the screen.But now the behavior seems kind of random. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it just tells me “no text suggestions found”, and other times it indents the text. I have toggled off “show text suggestions” in the hopes of removing the “no text suggestions” behavior, but it still happens.Has any one figured out the logic behind the Tab key??

Hi team, we have been prototyping some fairly complex web app concepts, and just wanted to understand what happens as we get into really high version numbers (e.g. up version 95 in the one I am looking at right now) – would like some understanding/reassurance of the limits before we really start orienting our prototyping process around Figma Make.Is there a limit on how many prompts a single file can have? Are there any risks in having a file with very high numbers of versions? I saw another post saying their file stopped being able to iterate at version 900 because of how large the prompt was getting (with all the history). Is there a way to “fork” a new file, and this file effectively restarts at version 0 – I was surprised that duplicating retains all the previous versions.Slightly worried about the usage limits of roughly 80 prompts per month – I could do this in a morning! I created my Figma account yesterday and recently verified it as a student account. However, I’m currently unable to access Dev Mode, which I was hoping to use to better understand the design-to-code workflow. I also tried creating a team first and then upgrading it, but the option was not free as expected.Given this situation, I would like to ask whether schools are supposed to have an education plan that includes full access to Figma features such as Dev Mode for students. I want to make sure I’m not missing a required step or institutional setup to properly access these tools.

I’ve added a prototype to my slide, but it is quite obviously pixelated. The frame for the prototype is 1512x982. The prototype looks fine on it’s own, but once it’s placed in slides, it seems like it gets downscaled, specifically to 400x259. Any ideas on what I’m missing? Attached are three pictures: 1. The view directory from the prototype, 2. Immediately after adding to Slides, and 3. After scaling up to fit the space in SlidesView from prototype (1512x982)size once added to prototype (400x259)blurry once scaled up (1146x742) 

 I don’t understand what exactly happened but I copied the main component and pasted in the other file. But something went wrong and the main component lost it’s crucial variable that still remains in the copied/pasted component in the other files without changing the main component (I believe).    This is the main component in my design system library. And it’s missing the variable, which for some reason remains in the pasted component below.   But if I click the update icon, the variable in the RED rectangle disappears like the main component above.How can I revert the main component to have this variable back?

Hello, creating tokens for colors it’s simple, set the primitives and then you create the tokens with the value of the primitive of interest, in the end the value it’s just one.What about Typography? Figma Tutorial basically shows only how to create primitives, so you have the family font, size, weight and so on. But you can’t do the same with typography token, because one token contains at least 3 values, so 3 columns aka modes, but this cut out the starter plan but then even with the professional I am wondering how this works when the mode columns are instead used to point out at the font size for desktop, laptop, table and mobile.About online tutorials I didn’t find much, either you create the primitives and then you assign the variable in the right UI column for each ones of the parameters of the text and then you create a text style that then they call token, or they go on variables and create the group display, the group heading, the group body with inside the values but this cou

Hello! I encountered such a problem: I install the font, when I open the program again, the fonts are yellow (not installed), the same problem in the browser. I have multiple components created to make it easy to resize my social media frames. I just swap the components and they resize as expected. Now I have hundreds of instances (all in one size) and I want to generate multiple instances for each in various sizes by swapping the components. Has anyone found a batch script that can swap components? I was looking at Automator to see if I could build something, but not having much luck figuring that out.

I need a way to scale text with its parent container. In CSS, I would use cqh or cqw, but I don’t know how to recreate that functionality in Figma, or if it’s possible.
