I’m paying professional license and my Figma make doesn’t work for almost 3 months. Every time I try it, it freezes and doesn’t even let me create the prompt.
I have successfully published my Figma Make before, but I went bananas and created a whole app in figma make. After 400 iterations, my project size is probably pretty large. Whenever I try to publish, it thinks for a long while before its saying that it has failed. I’ve also tried to look through other threads here to see what the common issues are but to no avail. To some extent ive tried to optimize the files using prompts, but sometimes it just destroys my app completely and I have to revert. Any ideas?
I’m trying to improve our workflow for handing off new and updated design system components to developers. When a new component is “ready for dev,” is it better to: Share a separate design file or Figma branch for developers to build from, or Merge/publish it into the main component library/design system first, then share? In our case, once designs are shared, it can sometimes take 3-6 months or more before developers actually pick them up. Because of that delay, it becomes hard to tell:Which components are truly “ready to use” vs still conceptual (waiting to be built) Which ones are already built vs just designedThis creates confusion around the source of truth and readiness. I’m also wondering whether new components that are “ready for dev” should live in a separate space from the main design system library until they’re actually built, to avoid mixing shipped components with components still under development. My current thinking is that new components would live in a separate file (o
Hi Figma community,I'm having a some issue with vector illustrations in Figma. Problem 1: Paint Bucket + Eyedropper OverrideI draw a vector with the pen tool, ensuring closed paths for isolated regions (no gaps). In edit mode (double-click vector), I use Shift + B (paint bucket) to highlight and click a specific region it adds a default grey fill correctly to just that area (sidebar shows single swatch). When I try to change the color using the eyedropper (press I or click icon in color menu), the highlighted region automatically deselects upon activating the eyedropper. Sampling any color then applies it to the entire vector object instead of the selected region. Adjusting via the color spectrum slider works fine without override. This only happens with the eyedropper sample; manual hex/spectrum is okay. Tried: Clearing all fills first, resetting cache, separating regions to new layers, shortcuts to avoid clicking icon, still deselects and overrides. Problem 2: Pen Tool Won't Move
I’ve created a website (for my thesis’s experiment), and it’s almost perfect. But I want to adjust something that would be done very easily manually. I’ve tried turning the Figma Make to Figma Design, but all the buttons are gone, and it became a static page with no interaction. How can I edit within Figma Make? I want to change the picture and some wording, and I don’t need AI for this.
Can Figma Make use the custom fonts available to my organization and team?
Hi everyone,I’m looking for some UX feedback on a small tool I’m designing and wanted to get opinions from the community. The screenshot attached is my current Figma design. It’s a very minimal interface for an invisible text generator. On desktop, the design has a heading + text on the left column, but I’m not sure if this approach makes sense for mobile. My goal with design was to make sure the tool is the first thing the user sees when he opens the website either on their phone or on a desktop. A few things I’m unsure about: On mobile, should this stay as a card layout, or should it take the full screen / hero section? (Which it currently does) Would a full-width layout work on a desktop. I also considered a neo-brutalism style at first, but the clean and minimal version felt more usable. Do you think minimal is the better direction here, or would a stronger visual style help? This is the live version Design: The live version of the website. This is for a real working tool, so usa
Hi :)I want to recreate this blur gradient bottom navigation from spotify, but when I use bg blur and the gradient together it kind of looks off when I compare it drectly to spotify. The gradient has this hard cut because I moved it up a bit. But when I move it down more the content behind is too visible again. Any Ideas how to fix it?
Hey everyone,I’m really surprised this issue still exists after all these years. We’re paying for Figma and using it professionally, but the problem has been there for almost 2 years now!Whenever I change the color of a swapped instance in the main component, the color doesn’t update in the other instances. For example, when I swap an icon instance inside a component, it doesn’t inherit the color of the original icon that was in the main component — I have to manually change each color one by one, which is really time-consuming.I’ve uploaded my Figma file so you can take a look and see what I mean. Please fix this — it’s been a long time and it really affects our workflow.Thank you.
Hi all — looking for clarity on Figma file URL behavior when moving files between workspaces.Scenario: I am the owner of a Figma design file. The file currently lives in a workspace where I am not a member (I have direct access to the file). I want to move the file into another workspace where I am an admin. I am moving the file, not duplicating it. The file is linked from external tools (e.g., Asana) using frame-level links (node-id). Question:When moving a file to a different workspace: Does the file’s canonical URL / file key change? Do existing frame-level links (node-id links) continue to work? Is link breakage only expected if frames are deleted/recreated or the file is duplicated? I’ve tested this with a sample file and observed that the file key and node-id remain the same, but I’ve seen conflicting guidance about whether moving a file across workspaces creates a “new URL.”Would appreciate confirmation from anyone who’s done this in production or has insight into ho
Hello Figma Community / Support Team,I’ve been trying to apply for the Figma student plan for over 6 months, but I’m still blocked by a “Verification Limit Exceeded” error.I’ve seen many similar topics in the community (unable to verify student status, Education Verification Failed, etc.), but none have received an answer or solution. The situation seems to create a loop with no resolution:SheerID confirms that my student verification is approved but tells me to contact Figma Education. On the Figma forum, I am told to contact SheerID and Figma Education did not respond to me yet. This leaves students like me stuck indefinitely.Verification details by SheerID :Verified email: -------------------------------------- Request ID: 68d69e7bd0a9b854fa9315f1 Date verified: September 26, 2025I want to be clear: I am not trying to bypass the system. I am a student continuing my master’s in UX Design, and I can only afford the student plan. The inability to access it is blocking my studies. My scho
Hello, I’m receiving a message in Optimal workshop when trying to import a figma prototype which says “We are unable to import your Figma Protoype due to API rate limiting” We have an organisational license and both myself and the IxD who create the prototype have a full seat. Is there anything else I’m missing which would help resolve the situation. Optimal Workshop have been very helpful but it seems the issue lies with Figma.
Hi everyone,I recently upgraded to a Professional Plan, which is advertised as being "for small teams." However, I'm having a bit of trouble with the permissions.Even though I have the subscription, it seems only one person (myself) can edit the files. Everyone else I invite only gets "view-only" access unless I pay an additional fee for them.Since the plan is marketed for teams, I expected that it would allow more than one person to edit files under the same base subscription. Is this the correct behavior for the Professional Plan, or am I missing a configuration step to enable my team members as editors? Thanks in advance for the help!

I just watched the release notes and see that it’s now supported to embed Figma Makes in Figma Design (and figjam, slides etc), but I don’t see any details on how to do this.I’m able to “Copy design” from Figma Make and paste that into Design as frames, etc. But the release notes indicated the embedding option would allow for fully functional Make within Design.Any pointers/hints on how this is done?

Recently I wanted to try out the Figma Material Theme Builder plugin but after a short test run decided not to use it. However it created into the colour library a bunch of default colours under the group “Schemes” that I can’t get rid of. I’ve uninstalled the plugin and manually removed from the right design panel the colours, but they still come up in the library. I haven’t used the colours anywhere.Anybody knows how to get rid of these colours?
I have designed a mobile app in Figma using Make. How can I publish it on the App Store?
We’re currently on the Professional plan and are considering upgrading to the Enterprise plan, mainly to use Extended Collections and Branching. Before making the switch, I’d love to hear from teams who are already using these features: Do Extended Collections work well for large-scale design systems, especially when managing white-label versions of the same product? Are there any limitations or best practices when using them at scale? With Branching, is it possible to sync screens from a branch directly to Zeplin for developer handoff, or does the sync only work from the main branch? Any insights or real-world experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
I am noticing more and more Figma libraries lately popping up. Think about https://www.flowbase.co/, https://figmacomponents.com/ I am currently figuring out how they do section X inside a copy to clipboard button but I am not coming to an end, after googling for hours, I can’t find anything about this.Is there someone how this exactly works?Would love to know that!
Hey guys, we are currently trying to set up a better workflow in our web agency when it comes to templating and library management. Instead of rebuilding sections, components and styles every time, we’d like to start from a template that evolves with us over time. So no “snapshot” like we would get, when just duplicating the current state of our template before starting a fresh client project but rather a “living” library that we can add new things to while all client projects (including the ones in the past) can still make use of the assets added way after the creation of the file. So essentially a “master library”. What we want to achieve is this:A singular master library that holds all kinds of sections & components that we can continuously expand. In each client project file we would then import the master library and overwrite the standard set of variables and styles to the client’s set of colors, fonts and brand specifics (border-radius, padding, margin, etc.).Our current cha
Me and my friend wants to collaborate on a project using Figma. We both have verified edu plans, but when I invite him I get the message saying “An admin needs to update this seat so they can edit.” Naturally, I went ahead and made him into the team’s admin, which did not solve our problem at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi there, I am a designer helping maintain a large design system used mostly for an ecommerce site. The Figma libraries were built almost 4 years ago now so there are some new features we're discussing leveraging, especially using variables to make the library components fully responsive (right now we have a separate desktop and mobile version of each component.) Has anyone made this transition before? It will involve a lot of legwork so I want to approach this carefully, would love to hear from others who have managed a similar large-scale update.
I have an image that I want to hide by initially but show when a certain unrelated/attached element is hovered over (mouse enter). This works when I setup a boolean variable (“isVisible”) and attach it to the relevant asset (right clicking the eye icon). Then setting up a variable interaction of “Target: isVisible” then if false set to true. The image does show, so it works. But it’s an abrupt/instant jump into view. Is there any way to make this type of interaction gracefully fade into view instead? Thanks in advance!
Hi there, I have a seamless scrolling marquee component which works great - smart animating between 2 instances using delay so it appears as a loop. I’ve put this component within another component, which ‘on click’ cycles through instances until it opens and displays content. The problem is when you click and trigger the parent component state changes, the nested marquee jumps back to the start. This makes sense as it the state of the marquee doesn’t match when they change - but has anyone found a way to avoid this? Or is there no way? The only way I can think of is to make the marquee a looping video asset and then when the state changes on the parent the position of the video will match (I think). Thanks in advance!
