I’ve created a dropdown menu and the menu itself seems to be working well, but when I’m testing this in prototype, the menu takes up the whole screen and gets rid of whatever background I have. This only happens when I’ve selected an option from the drop down choices. In the picture, I have it set as a desktop frame. I’ve also ran into the issue of the menu being in the top left corner first and then taking up the whole screen

Hey all, Looking for help or workarounds and how to lock drop shadows so when a object is rotated the shadows have the same orientation relative to object. My last option is to dupe the object to create the shadows, but I really really don’t want to do that as I want to make lots of iterations and chances quickly to many different shapes. Thanks!

Figma is using too much ram in MacBook air m3 8gb ram compared to pc with i7300kf 32gb ram. In macbook it takes 4gb ram in browser or native app compated to pc only takes 2gb ram. We know when the ram amount is small the website takes less ram.

My desktop Figma app constantly goes offline then back online, like I just watched it do it 6 times in a minute and a half. When it goes offline, I experience terrible freezing and lagging and am unable to work it’s that bad. I’ve restarted everything, everything is up-to-date, I’ve even reinstalled Figma just in case and nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas?

When adding seats for our team via “add additional seats,” we don’t understand why this funnel transforms our monthly plan into an annual plan. How can we downgrade our plan to a monthly billing cycle as it was before? The online support doesn’t explain how to downgrade to a monthly plan. hello everyone, i just have one question, i was trying to update to Figma pro but when i wanted to insert the credit card number i realised that my country (Lebanon) is not on the list of countries that Figma accepts credit cards from, so i was wondering if there was another way to get Figma pro or to solve this issue, thank you in advanced

I was given a Figma file from an agency and it’s using variables for color that dynamically change modes. It’s very cool, however, i cannot find the source of the variables, and therefore cannot build off of this file and extend the system. Please help! See this very short video!

The issue I have is that I can change the picture on the different instances of the component but when I do hover only appears the image I used when creating the component not the one on the instance. Hi I am having a problem with my payment. I’m not sure why they are asking me to pay this month when I clearly indicated that I don’t want to pay this month when I checked out last time. I’d like to create a screen list menu for Figma. It would be listed like this: “1, XX screen 2, XX screen 3, XX screen 4, XX screen” and the screen names would be linked to the corresponding screens. Does anyone know of any plugins or widgets that might be usable?

Background I heavily utilize the setPluginData function on the root node to store messages and localized variants within the Parrot Plugin. This works incredibly well - even multiplayer edits work like a charm. Great job, Figma! However, I’ve encountered a problem during rigorous sync testing: Steps to reproduce If a user is offline and modifies an entry using the setPluginData function, then comes back online after a (possibly extended) period, their changed plugin data will overwrite all entries - not just the ones they modified. For some reason, when I use the drag freature, my whole frame drags in my prototype but it does not go to the next frame. I am following the steps I found on YouTube. Looks so simple. Can anyone help me? Instance give While Pressing Instance moves slightly and give On Drag Instance moved approximately 300px.

Quite often I have to build prototypes that can be large but that mostly involve going from screen to screen (basic nav). When a flow just needs to go from screen to screen, without any specific transition effect or need for a managed Back navigation, it feels like Swap overlay and Navigate are quite interchangeable (you won’t notice the difference in the result). I wonder in that case if I should favor Swap overlay, since intuitively, Figma will not have to remember the navigation history. Is that true? Do we gain performance by using Swap instead of Navigate? Thanks!

I am trying to add scroll navigation to an overlay menu. The scroll works on all the screens except the home page where I have parallax scrolling. I want to be able to scroll to the footer (contact info) from the menu but it will not scroll in the prototype.

WHY is there a fricken update every single day on Figma? Nothing ever changes. Constant updates every time I load the app. Not to mention links open in the browser when I clearly have the application installed.

I have a big issue. I’m on a professional plan and have a draft file that contains a lot of components and styles. And when I logged in today and opened the file 90% of the styles were gone. In addition, I lost several drafts that I cannot access since I do not have permissions being the author of them. What should I do now? It’s too much manual work to restore what I had there.

Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Figma VS Code extension for a while, and there’s one thing that’s really bothering me. The sidebar on the right is extremely annoying and doesn’t provide much value, yet it takes up a significant portion of the screen. The design I’m working on often gets hidden behind this sidebar, making it difficult to work efficiently. I’ve attached a screenshot to show exactly which sidebar I’m referring to. Does anyone know how to collapse or hide this sidebar? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Recently I have been encountering a lot of issues with Figma Prototype. Is it normal? Maybe Figma is working on updates, which is why this is happening. Or I am the only one facing it. My prototype won’t update automatically when I make changes to mockups or components. I have to manually rerun(a restart doesn’t work) the prototype to see changes. The prototype loading is very slow and sometimes it is stuck in loading forever. The issue is faced by other team members as well. Sometimes the cursor goes missing and one has to guess where it is based on the highlights on buttons.

Hi All, I am trying to use a video file in my Figma prototype. I am using a rectangle(shape) and using the “Fill” option to use the video. After few seconds, it is showing messages “the video can’t be uploaded” and “invalid video removed” and then the video layer disappeared. I am using a .mov having 27.9 MB of size. I tried with different .mp4 videos(with different sizes), but, no luck. Can you please help me identify what could be the issue here? How could this be resolved?
