I am trying to use one of the swatches from this community resource: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1224860994714982753/dotted-canvas-patterns


Specifically, the 3rd “light” one from the “textures to copy and paste” page:




On the resource’s “mocks” page, the swatches are shown in action, and the spacing is perfectly regular. For ex “Example 04”.


However, in my project, I’m getting this uneven spacing at regular vertical intervals:




I believe I am using the exact same settings. 50% tiled fill.


What could be causing this, and how do I fix it?

To answer my own question:


For some reason the PNG in question has uneven borders. 8px on two sides, but only 2px on the others.


I increased the canvas size on those sides so it has an even 8px all around. Problem is solved.




This seems like a bug in the resource.
