How can I turn an Instance into a Component again?

Hi! I was wondering if there is a solution for this: I have an Instance with 5 properties. The Main Component of this Instance is missing. How do I turn the Instance into a main Comp again without (!) loosing the properties. Of course I can just click on “create component” but that will just nest the instance in a sub-layer (and by that the properties of the redone Main Comp will not show the properties in the Prop Panel) Thanks!

When you select any instance with deleted (missing) component, you see a CTA on right panel to Restore the component.

Thanks for your reply!

If I restore the Comp the instance will appear within the restored Main Comp (nested).
Because the Instance with the properties is now nested within the restored Main Comp, I can’t see the Properties for the restored Comp. Only if I select the nested Instance within the restored Comp. I would like to see the Properties as soon as I select the restored Comp. Hope this is clear, or do I think to complicated !?

The Original Main Comp is in an external Library btw. I copied it to a new Design File in a different Team which turns it automatically into an instance. Maybe thats the reason why it cant be restored…?
