Hey Community. It’s my first question here, so lmk if this is the right approach/format.Here’s my use case:I have two icon component sets consisting of two sizes each I want to use the icons in a button component The icon instance inside the button component is exposed as nested instance I change the icon instance inside the button from checkmark to xClose When changing the button size, it resets the icon instance to the defaultI can’t set the icon instance inside the button as instance swap property either, because I’d have to do it for both icon sizes in both component variants, and then it still doesn’t persist when changing the size of the button component. Any clue if and how this can work inside Figma? I know simply scaling the icon would solve this, but I have an icon set including the right sizes as variants which I want to utilize. Thanks!

Hey Guys!PROJECT: Design an app and a responsive website for a local grocery store that helps shoppers locate products as they shop in person. I would really appreciate constructive feedback on my LO-FI Prototype  

I would like to create a simple component that would have different versions for desktop and mobile. After I add the component to a screen, I can link to a "device" variable and make it adjust automatically. But I would like to link the variant with the variable automatically, so every time a team member add this component to a screen, they wouldn't need to link them manually.  Is this possible?

Hi,  I am using figma pofessional plan since more than 1 year. Whenever i contact the team to extend buffer time after finising my exact billing date, they always help me.  And this time, again i have sent email to them to help me to increase buffer time and still waiting for them to response, support ticket : 1773195 . My team will start work after next 3 hours and my plan is locked now, and lets see if they can help me to reactived and extend the buffer time.  I am waiting for support team to response.   

I edited the Figma Make prototype using the Point and Edit tool to change the background color. I changed it, but upon refreshing the prototype, the old color appears. How to save the change made using the Point and Edit tool, especially in the case of changing the background color? 

My team is looking at ways of better integrating our DS in Figma with Figma’s MCP server, and Figma’s Code Connect feature, specifically.We don’t currently have an organization or enterprise plan, so I was hoping someone who has the knowledge—whether as a Figma team member or an org/enterprise user—might be able to answer this question:In Figma’s Code Connect Feature, can you map a Figma component to a directory in your codebase?  Or does it have to map to a specific file (e.g. could we map a `Button` component to `/DS/Primitives/Button/`, or do we have to map it a specific file like `/DS/Primitives/Button.tsx` or `/DS/Primitives/Button/index.tsx`?Thanks!

Hi!I’m having an issue with colours not displaying correctly when I use the desktop app on my second monitor.I have my laptop (Dell XPS 15, Windows 11) extended to a monitor (ViewSonic VX3211-2K-mhd). On my laptop there are no problems but when I move the window to the second monitor, the entire app doesn’t display colours properly. This seems to be happening only with the Figma desktop app- all other apps I’ve checked show the correct colour profile, including Figma in the browser. Hello, I’ve been working on my online clothing store catalog (view-only, no add-to-cart or payment options) on Figma Sites for the past few weeks, and it’s now in the final phase. I’ve published the website, and everything works perfectly except for the product images. Here is the link to my prototype: https://akaipieces.com. For now, only the NEW IN button works. When you click NEW IN, a list of products appears. If you select a product, everything works fine. However, when you go back to the product list and choose another item, the images don’t load the first time. They only appear after refreshing the page. This happens with every subsequent product. I’m using the CMS system to manage information for 25 products. Has anyone experienced this issue before? I’ve tried everything I can think of, but the bug is still there. Thank you very much for your help!

I’m not trying to stir the pot, it’s been 24 hours that I’ve been waiting for my bug report to get looked at and I haven’t heard anything from the Figma support team. Can somebody tell me if you are in the same boat as me? Just want a ETA on when we can get some assistance. Thank you. Ron

Whenever I prompt to make live voice recordin and document it in Figma Make - it never works in prototype mode. Tried switching to browsers - also doesn’t work. Tried remixing with already existing community voice assistant projects also didn’t work. Any solutions?

Hii! Well, I'm learning to use Figma, recreating community projects… but now I got stuck… because I have a component inside another component (it's an ellipse inside a component that moves the ellipse around), but I need to change the size of the ellipse, but i cant…… The constraints show top-left instead of scale… but I don't know how to change it to scale… I have been trying and trying, but I don't know how to do it in order. The ellipse changes size when I modify the component frame. can someone give me a hint about what i can do x.x?

Is it possible to create fonts in Figma like you do with Adobe Illustrator. I want to map an image, say rice. What settings do I need to use?  Not a real designer but good with Figma, so would appreciate as dumbed down steps as possible :) 

Hi, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue when working with overlapping layers. Whenever I delete an element (frame, vector, etc.) that has multiple layers stacked above or around it, the layer selection resets. Instead of automatically selecting the parent layer, the selection clears or jumps, and I have to manually re-select the lower layers again. This significantly slows down my workflow, especially when cleaning up complex layouts with many stacked elements. Thanks in advance.

i am trying to build on figma build. i want to be able to speak to it and it registers the voice and transcribes it or provides closed caption. currently the video works but the mic does not. if anyone has any solutions to make this work i would appreciate it!

Hey Now I can't even login to figma!! please help

While trying to use Figma Make, and importing our components, Figma Make doesn't seem to use the actual component but rather imagines a similar one and thus losing all of the properties associated with the component. Is there a way to force Figma Make to use the actual components with their properties? Even if I specify that I want it to use the component, it doesn't.

I created my portfolio website in Figma Sites. I viewed it in View/Prototype mode for desktop and it looks great. I publish it to the web and view it from the website on my desktop and it looks like the background is shifting left instead of extending across the entire screen. Leaving white space to the right of the screen. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? The background is set at absolute. www.tobigannon.com Thank you in advance for your help.

How can you remove the link “Open in VS Code” in Dev Mode and restore the MCP connection at the initial state (I’d like to open the connection wizard as I did the first time).
