Why has the interface become so huge that it doesn’t even fit on the screen? Ctrl-+ doesn’t work, only the template size changes. I work online. I see that the problem is only in the Chrome browser and only with the Figma website, in Edge everything is ok.

I accidentally removed a member from the team, when I added the member back to the team, all the files he owned were missing. Where can he find back those files?

Hi everyone ☺️ hope you’re about to start in a wonderful weekend… but I also hope some of you are still here and may be able to help me with a little struggle: I have a client who wants to build their own Figma library on top of the material 3 liebrary. So far so good. But they want to use that library in different projects where different tokens will be needed. So far I have always buildt a library for each project, with the tokens that specific project needed. But they want their library as a single source of truth for many different projects such as Apps and Webapps. I really don’t know how to handle that the most efficient way and hope someone out there has experience with it. Thank you a lot and love from Germany 💙, Kat

Context: I have one EDU account/team and now I just paid for an upgrade to my personal account so now that one is PRO EDU team is named “School Projects” and PRO team is “Matthew Eric’s Team” Things I cannot do/have tried: I cannot select multiple project files and do ANY other action aside from delete and duplicate (really dumb) I cannot transfer the project… are you kidding me? I cannot drag and drop projects/project files. Even with TWO WINDOWS open each open to each team. There is no where I can find that is a suitable place to “drop” the files after picking them up. I cannot MOVE the whole project… there’s no error or anything it just won’t do anything. So unless I am wrong, and I hope I am not, I have to manually and one by one “Move” each friggin project file?

I’m trying to clean up my drafts folder but everything I delete just gets DUPLICATED and now I have a zillion. WTH

Hello beautiful community ! I have a problem. When I do tabs component. In default state, the color of the icon is primary (blue) but in hover the color is still blue (I want it to be grey). How do you do that ? Thank you!

My agency needs to collaborate with a client on a Figma file, but they can’t edit it. I suspect it’s because they need paid seats in our organization. If we give them paid seats, will they see all our other clients’ projects? Can we create a separate team and restrict their access to only that team within our organization?

Mainly I wanted to test out the AI features. I see the option in FigmJam but not in Figma. Searched it out on, found that its in UI3. So anyone have a clue, some people I know: are using the feature but i can’t see it on my end.

In my team’s files + company team files, when creating element and defining a color from the published brand colors team file, the “all libraries” option reappears after the first time I pick it, instead of the last used library (published brand colors team file) when I create another element. It wasn’t like this before, and it is causing a lot of wasted time.

Hello, I am developing a plug-in and as part of this I would like to add a demo layout to the canvas. I can obviously do that in code, but since there are a few design considerations for this layout and it needs to be reasonably flexible to be changed in the future, I am looking for a better way. Something like exporting a Figma design, packaging it as part of the plug-in and then importing it when the plug-in loads. Is that possible? Or is there a different way? Or do I need to bite the bullet and create it in code? Thanks

Every time a teammate or I starts Figma, this texts resets itself to the wrong value. It’s not even the default text value of the component, it’s just an old text value that I replaced. When I double click on the component to change the text, it corrects itself and displays the correct value. But if I launch Figma again, the wrong value is shown again. I eventually got the bug to stop by resetting all the changes

I’m experiencing lag in Figma when working with components. Despite restarting my PC, I still encounter delays, especially when editing or creating variants within components. I’ve checked my file and computer RAM usage, which appear normal. Has anyone else faced similar issues? Any advice or insights would be appreciated!

I’m trying to develop and distribute a Figma plugin. It works well in the in-development version, but the published version does not work and displays the following error message: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()”. I’ve also tried turning off the ‘use developer VM’ feature and retrying, but the same issue occurs. Do you happen to know how to resolve this? Attached is the configuration of my plugin’s manifest.

I am trying to use a video file in my Figma prototype. I am using a rectangle(shape) and using the “Fill” option to use the video. After few seconds, it is showing messages “the video can’t be uploaded” and “invalid video removed” and then the video layer disappeared. I am using a .mov having 27.9 MB of size. I tried with different .mp4 videos(with different sizes), but, no luck. Can you please help me identify what could be the issue here? How could this be resolved?

I am redesigning the news section of a corporate website. From the articles Iisting, I extracted all the h2’s (article titles). I then pasted it to Figma, and split the text into separate text layers using the Nisa plugin, like so: Is it possible to convert the text layers to instances of an existing component? The only method I know of so far, is cutting and pasting 😬 Grateful for any tips 😀

I am currently using a student account and I have been seeing everyone around me literally getting the new UI3 update. I am concerned that everyone is getting it and I am falling behind in keeping up with people especially when they discuss certain functions. Is there a certain way I can force update Figma to get the new UI update? I am really excited to have it and use it in my day-to-day designs.

I have started using Figma on a 4k screen (both Laptop screen and Dell external). When I want to select any item on the screen, text, box, line etc. I need to place the cursor above the item I am selecting, most irritating. If I drop the resolution of the display to 1080 then no issues at all and on my smaller 1080 hp screen all is good unfortunately the 1080 screen is a little smaller so not as nice to work on. Any advice / tips on making Figma work properly on the 4k screens?

my intersect selection was not visible when i used the intersect selection on a roto layer, but when applied on ordinary text it works out.

The prototypes have been incredibly inconsistent in their ability to be viewed from the shareable link in the past few weeks. I don’t think it is a memory issue that has been suggested in the previous posts as I have never received an error or seen any significant memory usage from the View tab. Can I get assistance for this issue? I am having trouble finding a solution…

Hi guys. I noticed that when I’m in prototype mode, I have screen A and screen B. On the screen A, I press on the + button to generate an arrow link going to to screen B. By default the link action is [Drag to] [Navigate to: screen B]. When I switch [Drag to] to [Click on] I’m expecting screen B staying selected by default in the [Navigate to] dropdown. Instead the screen selected resets to ‘none’ and I have to select the screen manually from the [Navigate to] drop down. Not very user friendly and time consuming indeed if I have 100 screens in a document. Do you guys have please a suggestion on how to keep the screen B selected when I change the action type?

Mac Specs: M1 with 16G ram MacOS: Mac Sequoia Beta 3 Issue: When opening up a rather big file, the whole page freezes up, but I’m able to change to other tabs like the community tab, or home tab, or open up a new file. Suspected Cause: Maybe because we use a lot of SansSerif font in our file, and the newest MacOS just updated this font? But that being said, opening up the iOS 18 UI Kit seems to be working just fine.
