My designer and me both own pro licenses with Dev Mode access. I cannot toggle Dev Mode in a design he created. I somewhat understand your “teams” concept but this is totally unusable. Why should his organisation pay for my seat? I feel cheated out of my money since I bought it through the popup that opens when I try to toggle dev mode in his file. What kind of policy is this please?
I either want my money back or a solution to viewing his file in dev mode even though he owns it.

Plenty of people complaining about the shady billing method Figma is carrying on. That’s a scam and a dark pattern.
I used the popup in my designers Figma to purchase a subscription, then afterwards it not only does not work but tells me to buy again? I will definetly not pay for this if I cannot even use it, but why even show the popup if he needs to buy my license? Where is this explained?
That’s the point, is not clearly explained. Basically if you are the admin of a team and you want someone else to edit a file you own, you have to buy them a brand new seat in your team, regardless if the other person has or not a pro subs already. I don’t even know if this is legal sincerely. but for sure is not well communicated.
