When I search for an plugin using the search bar within the resources section it take ages to give me a result even with a high speed internet connection. Some time it take ages to even close the resource panel once I search for a plugin. I am not sure how to solve this is.


More context: I am using latest Figma app on a new macbook air M2

Is this happening both in browser and using the desktop app? What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?



  • logging out and back in

  • un-installing and re-installing the desktop app

  • clearing your browser/desktop appโ€™s cache


Hereโ€™s how to clear the desktop app cache on a Mac:



  1. Quit the Figma desktop app

  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command:

    rm -rf โ€œ$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma/โ€{Desktop,DesktopProfile}

  3. Try opening the desktop app again
