I am building this component and I have made button component separately, when I try to switch sizes of button in this component, it doesnot change to any size and remain the size I have kept in this component, I have set the entire component to hug height and button component are of 3 sizes with fixed heights, but i am unable to change button size in this component through the nested property,

I signed up for Figma today as a newbie, hoping to create a mock-up of a landing page for a new web app. It started well. I managed to import and existing landing page and managed to edit it with the AI functionality. However, the credits ran out quickly - I am on the basic free plan. Now I cannot find any way to edit the document in the normal editing view. I have one file and a team library. That is it. I would like to try the free editing option. I spent a long while on the chat help, which looked promising to begin with but didn’t solve the issue unfortunately.

Hi,I recently completed a research interview via Outset.ai after being invited through a popup during the Figma tutorial. I was promised a $10 incentive payment within one week, but it has now been 2–3 weeks and I still haven't received it.During the interview I did encounter a connection issue and had to reconnect after a few hours — my progress was saved. There was also a brief error screen that said "contact Figma", but when I retried the next day it worked fine and I was able to complete the session.Could someone from the research team look into this and confirm whether my payment is on its way?Thank you!

The Figma API is completely blocked (rate limit ~25h on all endpoints, including curl). There should be no restrictions, as I have an Edu subscription. Why is this happening? Is this subscription limited to the API?

Hi everyone,I used to copy an image (Ctrl+C from browser or local folder) and then paste it (Ctrl+V) directly into an image component in Figma - like for cards or avatar images - and it would automatically replace the image.But recently, this no longer works. When I try pasting, nothing happens. Now Figma only shows options like “Upload from computer” or “Make an image” (screenshot attached).I’m wondering: is this a recent change or bug in Figma?Is there still a way to paste an image directly into a component without having to upload it manually?Thanks in advance!  

Hi,My projects requires a custom font that I have installed locally, but it doesn’t show up on Figma and there isn’t a desktop download for Linux.Is there a way to edit files with custom fonts? I use Fedora KDE and Figma in the browser.Thanks

Hello everyone! this is the design team from The Apprentice Project. We deliver learning experiences to marginalised children in India through WA based conversational flows. Wanted to check on a problem we are trying to resolve. Our current workflow is that the design team creates the conversational flows in the form of a tree diagram in Figjam and our tech team creates them in Glific, a tool that creates the conversational flows for WA.Currently we can only see the final conversational experience during the testing phase of these flows. We were wondering if there is a way to simulate this conversational WA flow before it is created on Glific on Figjam itself? If anyone has tried out a hack? 

I am a member (and admin) of an organization (Org A) with Figma Pro accounts.One of our clients (Org B) has shared a Connected Project with us. I wanted to move some Figma files that have been in our own Org A projects, into the Connected Project owned by Org B. However, when I go to Move a file, I don’t see the connected project, nor does the Org B. show up when I look at the list of teams under the “All” tab on the Move file dialog. How can I move files to a connected project of which I am not the host? Thanks. 

Due to a billing issue, my Figma team is currently locked. While waiting for the issue to be resolved, I still need to continue working on my files.I’m planning to move my file to Drafts temporarily so I can keep working on it. I would like to confirm:When I move the file back from Drafts to a Project later, will it retain the component links to my design system file? Will prototype links and connections also remain intact? will there be other issues? (unforseen)Thanks

Hi everyone, we have a dedicated icon library for our design system, but Figma Make is currently unable to fetch icons from it. Because of this, the screens generated by Make don’t always use our DS icons correctly.Has anyone found a reliable workaround or solution for this?

We have these two variations to support hover interactions. When the text is changed while using this component upon changing to the hover variant the underline text styling is not getting applied. Also, Figma stopped supporting changing the text styling on the linked text labels. This has become very painful for us in alot of our components text properties were linked to keep it the same across various variants but their styling were changing which now can’t happen.Is this a bug..? 

HiI have a pretty large design file. In that file I have a substantial amount of variables. They all link (aliased) to variables in another file where my primitives are placed.What I would like to achieve is to be able to copy my Design file and copy my Primitives file. I Then need the variable collection in my COPY-Design file to be relinked to my new primitive file called COPY-Primitives.I know how to use plugins for importing collections and relinking variables on components that way. But I cannot seem to find a way or a plugin where I can relink my entire variable collection to a copy of my primitives. At least not automatically. Any way I can accomplish relinking my variable collection to my new copy of my primitives without going through plus severeal hundred variables manually?Thanks.

I cannot get my hover effect to work, I got it working outside a figma page, when I moved the two images on the page nothing!!!I need to finish this project for my portfolio so I can move onto my last project so I can get a job!! I used chat exhaustively and could not get this to work!! How can I have a live person help me>?

app preview in FIGMAMAKEI made an app on figma make, which is compatible with iPhone 16. I published and got a link, but when I tested the app on my phone by connecting it, I found that it couldn't be fully displayed when opened in the link (like a real app). When operating in a browser, the toolbar can only be hidden, but it still cannot be displayed in full screen. Does anyone have any methods to enable the apps made by figma make to be previewed on mobile phones? It can be interacted and used normally, and displayed in full screen!app preview in Safari

My Figma desktop hasn’t worked i am on Windows 10 with pretty decent specs., it works fine on the browser but not on my desktop the background process is showing in the task manager but it won’t draw any power from the CPU. I tried clearing the cache memory, turning off the firewall, and fresh installing it but whenever I open the setup it buffers, and shows the Figma symbol, and that’s it! It won’t ask me for the location to install or if I want a desktop/start menu file. Then if I search for Figma it shows that the app is installed but still won’t open and the Figma agent is open in the background without drawing any power. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey i hope anyone has some tips for me.I’ve been working with the windows app since january and experienced cache issues when making changes in the library and publishing to working files.Recently i split the components library up into 2 files, 1 for variables and 1 for components. We are running a multibrand design system and it was starting to get unweildy with just one library file. All ok there.So the structure is:variable library components library pulling in variables consuming working file linking to both libraries All of our components are built using atoms and nesting. But even just placing a button in the consuming file doesnt show eg the updated font colour.Now our freelancer who uses a mac has also started experiencing caching issues in the working files. We regularly delete cache. But changes do not show. Its starting to get a real problem  😭😭😭😭

Hi everyone.I’m currently working on a multi-brand design system  and I’ve separated everything into two files: A Foundations file containing all Variables and Styles A Components file where those Variables and Styles are imported and used The idea behind this setup was scalability. If additional digital products need to connect to the foundations layer in the future, they could independently consume and publish the shared foundations without being tied directly to the component library.However, I’m running into a few practical issues.Because the system is large and multi-brand, I spend a huge amount of time publishing updates in the Foundations file and then importing those updates again into the Components file. When hundreds of variables change at once, this becomes a lot of repetitive back-and-forth work.In addition, I sometimes encounter a bug where a variable appears to be set correctly, but the component does not visually update automatically. I’m running into a weird issue with interactive components in Figma and I’m not sure if this is a bug or just a limitation of how hover states work.I have a menu button component with 3 variants:Default Hovered ExpandedInteractions:Default → Mouse enter → Hovered Hovered → Mouse leave → Default Hovered → On click → Expanded Expanded → On click → DefaultThe Expanded variant contains a dropdown slot with submenu buttons.Problem:When I click the button, the Expanded state appears for a split second and immediately switches back to Hovered. Hello,I noticed an unexpected charge on my credit card on May 14, 2026. My monthly subscription plan is supposed to be for 1 seat ($20/month), but I was charged $57.20 because extra seats were automatically added without my explicit consent.I have already changed my seat approval settings to "Approve seats manually" so this won't happen again.
