Have been searching for solutions to this but cannot find any. Since moving to a newer Macbook Air 13.6 inch, fit width no longer actually fits width, nor does fill screen or fit to screen. I have a black border all around the prototype regardless of which setting I use for this. Any solutions or has anyone else had this issue? Using Chrome, using the web version of Figma, only change has been that my laptop has a newer screen size than before. Thanks

Hello, how do I apply The Disabled boolean property into each of these variants? Currently when I create a new component property , it says an error message of ‘Not Used Within Component’. I cant find a way to apply the created property to variant. Im stuck at this. Thanks!

Hi there, I have a problem with creating and applying a boolean property. I have a button that is created with nested components. I create a boolean property on the top level of a component to show an icon-only button variant. Still, when I want to apply it to the variants, it’s not visible there so I get an error that says the property is not used within a component. Does anybody have a similar problem? Hello dear community,I have an illustration that looks like this:Unfortunately, it consists of several individual paths:Now I would like to transfer the visible red area to a single shape so that I end up with a clean and efficient SVG graphic. This means that all the individual paths should be merged into a single surface.The internal tools of Figma do not help me so far, because the individual paths remain and I could not find suitable plugins. (A plugin called “Really Flatten Vectors” actually does exactly what I need, but unfortunately it chops up the graphics).Do you have a solution? 

Hi, what AI tools do you use to create the MVP mobile app using Figma designs? After a design is done in Figma, some of the tools I know can create the code for the UI are Blackbox, Copilot (with it’s new ver), but these need a lot of rework by a developer. Tools like Loveable and Framer are not Figma oriented and so don’t help for the customized UIs we create.Also, I am thinking if we can create a working ver using Figma designs, it’ll help us try it out or finalize better UX. Thoughts?

Hey! Cant fix title 10- mb file, not gigabytes. i see that many people speak about slow figma, and in many places they discuss that 2gb of memory is not enough for them. My file is 10mb,  memory is busy on  2%, can’t understand how does it work. Error pages and logs out every few minutes in web and desktop

That is certainly not a viable approach, and if it were, I fail to see how it would function effectively. However, what I do know is that I have 120 images that need to be created as styles in Figma. The hypothetical scenario may be absurd, but let’s assume it were real.Here is how I would accomplish this without using plugins:Select an image. Click on Apply Styles and Variables. Click on the New Styles and Variables button. Switch to Styles (since images cannot be stored in variables) from the default Variables tab.(Wait—where did I saw users were forced to adopt new features? Oh, that’s right—Apple does it all the time.) Name the style and create it.So, my question is: What would it cost us to keep Variables and Styles separate?

I am a Designer with a team of Developers working with me. I want to buy subscriptions for myself and the team for us to have a smoother handover process, but I am unsure what the payment plans are like. Is it one payment that will cover all the accounts? or will we have to buy a separate subscription for each account? Is it better for us to have the professional plan or the organization plan? (The team is made of 1 Designer and 2 Developers - Could add 2 more Devs in the future) I, as a Designer, will need both Design and Dev modes while the Developers will only need Dev modeI emailed the sales team about it but I don’t know what the response times are like, so here I am :)Thanks to anyone who can provide any clarity or help! 

So i have many many whiteboards in a project, but I want to find boards that have been created by a certain person and understand board ownership.I can’t understand how to identify this, especially if I import these from another platform and invite users, board names are overlapped and there is no way to identify these board owners? How do you help identify board ownership and those it relates to?

I have been trying to find an effective way to find/replace text in bulk for Figma layer names. I am creating variants and need to change a group of layers label to make them unique. For example: theme=dark, icon=true I would like to find all layers where “icon=true” and replace the layer name text with “icon=false”. To be more specific make it so only the layers selected are affects and allow me to choose. Another feature would to be able to bulk insert/remove text into the layer titles. The built in Find/Replace in Figma fails to find every layer in the file and all the plugins I have tried are not adequate. I cannot believe I am the only person needing to do this.

Hi guys! I’m looking to buy a new laptop because my Macbook Air Intel has just not been able to run Figma efficiently. Figma is often laggy, especially when I am working while sharing my screen, and I am looking to buy a new device. What are your thoughts? Is the Pro M4 chip worth it? Will I see significance performance on Figma?

Hi everyone! Everytime I push the play button to check my prorotype (or open the link in a browser), there are those automatic left/right arrows and counter on the bottom. I don’t need it, it just confuses the user. My project is not a presentation, it’s like a website, there’s no specific logical order between the pages. All my pages are accessible by the interactions I’ve created – I would like the user to use only my buttons. Whether I set the home page as the flow starting point or not, the pager is still there. How can I avoid it? Thank you!

The instance swap component of the variant, which allows the property to be automatically changed through a variable, always resets when the variable mode is changed. Change text(B) to C which is “Base Component 2” inside“Problem Component” Select “Problem Occurs” section, And change “Variant” mode to “Mode 2” All layer name of “Problem Component” children has been reseted And override has been reseted. I don’t know what happened, but when i press TAB to select next sibling, Figma automatically zooms and centers the next sibling.This is GOD ANNOYING and i don’t know how to turn it off. Been using Figma for half a decade now and i never had this problem.

Hello,I am experiencing an issue with the default device setting in Figma. Despite selecting 'iPhone 16 Plus' as my default device, it neither displays nor operates as expected. The device preview is not visible, and no changes seem to take effect when I attempt to work with different settings. This issue is hindering my ability to design and prototype effectively.Could anyone help me understand why this might be happening or suggest any troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue?Thank you!

Hi Figma community! I am trying to build a Figma plugin where I would like to use Shadcn or Aceternity UI library that relies on NextJS and Tailwind. I wanted to know if its possible to do that in Figma and if so, could you please share some tutorials or tips on it?

 No matter what I do, I just can’t seem to get Absolute Positioning to show up on one particular frame. It just doesn’t show up, even though the layers in the frames themselves can use absolute positioning. I just don’t get it and it’s starting to frustrate me. Here’s the link to it. I just want to make the buttons stay in place while they’re transitioning why is this so HARD  

The macOS system on my company's Mac computer is version 10.13.6 and cannot be upgraded to the latest version. Therefore, I have been using Figma in the Chrome browser.Yesterday, I discovered that Figma could no longer recognize local fonts. I uninstalled Font Installer and downloaded the latest version of Font Installer. When I start Figma, everything remains fine for 5 minutes, but when I start working in Figma, the screen may turn off for a while and then turn on again, or sometimes it may go out completely. Only reboot helps.(((The i5-11400 processor is responsible for displaying images on the monitor. Help me, I’m sick of this problem, I can’t work normally(((

I would like to understand if there is a way for me to transfer my Figma design to Shopify stores without a subscription based app or at least not one that my customers will have to pay for. Hi Community, Is there a way to find out a list of projects/ files created/ updated under a company account during a specific time frame w/o searching through all files under the company? For example, On 2/7/2025, there are 1,000 files under company ABCOn 2/8/2025, there are 1,010 files under company ABCIs there a way to find out the 10 files w/o checking through the entire 1,010 files, get the “last_modified” date? Ann

Can't find any settings of the account? I currently recently signed up to try the software as free version buy even unable to find out when my version expires? Can't even check how many days I have left which `i thing is crucial and fundamental information, especially when it comes to use variety different software to try out which one is the most suitable for my future including pricing plans and functionality, so `i really need to know how to plan my daily schedule of exploring between services, This is already kind of red flag ( lack of easy access to such a fundamental option)Please answer asap.
