Button component that opens an overlay and changes color

I have an 

Insert Tracking Link- Component

If i press the black button - it opens the overlay

What i want to do is - If i press the save button in the overlay -

1. The Overlay closes
2. The Insert Tracking Link button changes from black to green

How can i go about and do that
