I tested viewing outlines in Figma Design, and I was able to select objects as expected, including hidden and nested layers.

To cover the basics, could you please check a few things?

1. Is this happening only in a supported browser, in the desktop app, or in both?
2. Is this issue occurring in a specific file or in all files?
3. Could you please try these basic troubleshooting steps to see if there's any difference?
   • Close any Figma tabs you’re not using.
     • For the browser: Force-quit and then open Figma in a new browser window.
     • For the desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.

Hi, thanks for your reply, just to respond below:

1. Is this happening only in a supported browser, in the desktop app, or in both?
   - It happens in both, I have components that are background under some elements which can be selected, but some elements above cannot be clicked on or selected
2. Is this issue occurring in a specific file or in all files?
   - It seems to happen in my current file only as it has many layers and components as background. For e.g. in image below, I cannot select other elements above the component background:

   

    

3. Could you please try these basic troubleshooting steps to see if there's any difference?
