Hi all, Is there any way to find out the contact info of the author/designer of a figma file?? 

In my company, we have strict security policies, and I need to ensure compliance before using MCP. Specifically, I would like to understand where the server is initiated when the get_code_connect_map command is executed. Does it run on my local machine, or is it hosted on Figma's servers? Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!

​​​​​​Hi gang, Im having an issue with some style variables that were added to old version of DS file still showing even after I removed from the file Im working in and removing the shared library where they came from. Context: This variable was created to switch from IOS to Android stylings, but once we started using them we found it was super buggy and we’ve changed our approach.So the issue is now, I had created a duplicate of the DS library file to start improving and fixing some of the issues and components as the original was being used in an active project, I removed the original library from the new one, but now the variables from the old file are still showing up. Any advice would be amazing ❤️

It works fine on other browsers like MS Edge and Chrome. I’ve noticed the same issue in Firefox while using Confluence as well.Has anyone else faced the same? And any idea on how to resolve this?What I’ve tried until now:Updated / reinstalled Firefox. Cleared browser cache.

HI! just noticed that when i upscale an object with a stroke applied to it. the stroke maintains its width. Is there a way for the stroke to scale with the object? (Just like in Illustrator) Using Scale tool not an option, as it indeed scales up the width of the object, but when dealing idth icons, as soon as you swap an instance, the new instance reverts back to original width. How can I edit a file created in Make in Figma?

Hi, I’m trying to write a plugin that will create slide decks based off a template and spreadsheet of data.I want to write template slides that use some syntax such as `{{field}}` where anything in `{{}}` is considered the column name and for every row in the table a new slide is created with the placeholder replaced with the value from the spread sheet.I need to have more than one slide that is the template. So I want to be able to name the slides.Having looked around I should be able to rename the frame that represents the slide. However this isn’t possible.I’ve been following these instructions https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039958934-Rename-Layers The problem is the layer view doesn’t show me anything that represents the whole slide. Is it even possible to set the name of a slide?

cmd + shift + enter, what would you expect that to do? what about cmd + enter?imo enter for sibling, tab for child. but up to y’all. rn it just feels unintuitive and a cumbersome

When I export any objects from Figma to PNG, the result files have the same transparent areas as in original objects. But not in PDF - transparent areas always replace with white color areas! Exporting from Figma, you can see the transparent area around the icon: Result (png), transparency saved: Result (pdf) transparency was replaced with white color:

I created variables for weight, font family, and sizes. In our design library, I updated all our font styles with variables. The variables are listed below. The problem is that sometimes, the fonts would show up as “Open Sans Condensed” instead of “Open Sans”. The only way to correct it was to break the link to the style and then reapply it. It broke many components and styles where this library was used. I disconnected all the variables from the font styles and defined them as one would normally. I published the library again. Updated the library within the file and the font on the text was still wrong. The fix is to select the component. Reset changes and then undo. Not sure what I did wrong or why it broke so much stuff. But, I would like to resolve it as we plan on making several different modes for different accessibility needs and this would save us a considerable amount of time. I have created a file containing components and styles that I would like to re-use in other files, so I published the library. When I include the library in another file, all the components etc. show up, but not the typography or color styyles. What am I missing?

Hi community,My colleague and I suddenly run into this issue. When we select any text elements, including creating a new one, not bounded to any styles or components or variables, the colours won’t show any library files. It only shows 1 colour swatch. See image below. This swatch was created in this file somehow. I cannot even delete or modify it.  The file was working the day before, but suddenly broke. I found this post, but the answer doesn’t address the issue.Does anyone know how to solve this please? Thank you so much in advance. 

i want to scroll through my design when in prototype mode but i don’t want the cursor to be visible because it just makes it annoying. anyway to solve this?

Hi Figma Community, I’m experiencing an issue with font rendering in my Figma prototype, and I could really use some help! The font is Apple DS Gothic Neo (an embedded font) The font looks fine when I’m designing, but when I view the prototype, the text appears distorted or uses a different font entirely. I’ve tried clearing my cache, restarting Figma, and even reinstalling the font, but the problem persists. Has anyone else faced this issue before? Are there any specific settings I should check, or is there a workaround? I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this! Thanks in advance! 🙏

I’m trying to create this toggle. The overlapped area is its own component, since I don’t want it to change when the # of items of being updated and affecting the size/padding of the pills. I added an auto-layout and set the overlapped area to “ignore.”However, that part is now sitting on top of the other frames, even though it’s below them in the Layers panel. How do I keep it beneath?

 I created this shape from a mask (see left panel) and want to turn it into a vector. However, flattening it just gets rid of the mask like so: And all the boolean operations like union or intersect fills the shape with the stroke color: How do I work around this? Thank you

I have an icon and text in an autolayout. The text truncates as soon as I drag the frame smaller. If I have several of these frames in another autolayout next to each other I want the icon to disappear as well PLUS the text to truncate.Is there a way to do this? Also a workaround.

I have a text component in Figma. I want to reuse this component, but I need the font to be smaller. If I manually change the font size, when I switch the variant, it restores the original font size. I need the text to keep the size I want for this specific context.

Hello! I created a team project on an education plan linked to my school email. Since I just graduated, I will lose access to it soon but I have important projects on there that I don't want to loose. I already changed "ownership" of the project to my private email. But is that enough? Or do I need to get a paid plan to somehow transfer the files? I don’t quite understand where figma stores these files. Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I just wrote an article about a problem my team and I have been facing recently after we reorganised our Figma component library (like adding new variants, deleting old ones, renaming things, etc)We found that some of the Theme variants were stubbornly stuck with an annoying gremlin ℹ️ icon and to “fix it” we were having to import all the components back into the file, no need to say it was a nightmare!I found an easy fix to it and you can find it in this article, it worked for 98% of our design files, the ones it didn’t unfortunately we had to swap them manually, however it still saves us a ton of time :) :https://medium.com/@anna.massad/fixing-that-pesky-%E2%84%B9%EF%B8%8F-error-in-figma-fast-and-friendly-517d3351ef51Hope it helps you guys!
