I’m looking to create this scenario:a sticky header (title bar in this example) that’s responsive if the screen width increases (e.g. dragging the outer frame) that also stays in front of the content below it when scrolledHowever, I can only seem to be able to be able to achieve the first two - see screenshots below. Is this scenario possible and if so how? Hello everyone!I'm facing an issue with interactive components and icons in Figma.I’ve created a button component that includes an icon (e.g., a camera icon) and some text, all wrapped in an Auto Layout. The default state of the icon is a line version, and on hover, I want it to switch to a filled version of the same icon. This works fine when using the default camera icon — I’ve set up the component so that the hover state changes both the icon and the button's background color.The problem arises when I use an instance of this button and swap the icon (for example, from camera-line to pencil-line). When I preview the design in Presentation mode, the hover interaction still changes the icon back to the camera-filled icon, instead of showing the filled version of the new icon (e.g., pencil-filled).I believe this is happening because the hover state is tied specifically to the camera icon, not a generic slot that supports swapping both line and fill icons as variants.Here's how I've stru

I often use constraints option when I work with my design but now with the new beta UI Figma I didn’t find it now It’s hard to make my design responsive without having to option this, not only hard, it’s impossible without having that, why are you taking it away?, I prefer the old Ui Figma when you come across to change your UI just don’t take away features.

Hi, I was going to build small site for an Advisery client, so nothing too content heavy or CMS reliant. I know Figma and a little bit of Framer. Framer doesn’t give me any option to host on Serversaurus which I need to do. Can I do this if I build in Framer Sites or is Framer Sites self-hosting as well?Also concerned that Framer Sites is so new it may not be reliable enough for what I need. I have a library with several components made up of smaller components. Those smaller components should never be used on their own. I want to make my library available to another team but I don’t want the sub-components available. Here is an example: I have a chart legend that I use with three different chart components. I want the user to be able to add a chart component to the page but I don’t want them to be able to add just a legend component to the page. I want the legend to be a component for me so that when I update the look, I don’t have to go update all 3 chart components. If I leave the legend component accessible, I know some non-designer will try to misuse it and stick it on a page as some kind of fancy list or something.

Thinking of prototyping specifically. Just to be clear - I’m looking for something that does what you intend to achieve, rather than not doing what you intend to achieve. For example, if I put one animation inside another, I’m looking for one animation to be inside another, as oppposed to one animation NOT being inside another. Sort of like the prototyping equivalent of a caclulator that divides when you select the divide button, or a car that turns on when you press the on button. Does that make sense? So, something that works as opposed to being a soggy baguette.

I’m confused as to why figma is telling me I can’t edit or move this file. I created it. I own it. I’m logged in with my only Figma account. I pay $$$ monthly. There is no clear explanation/reason for view only permission level.

We are a small organisation on the Figma team plan. We have two design libraries at present that serve different device types that need to be merged into one. I’ll give an example to help.Example:In two separate design systems I have a button, one design system houses the button for iOS devices and one design system houses the buttons for Web. I want to combine my design systems and have one single button style that applies to both iOS and Web.  Is there a way to do this without needing to replace all of the instances of the button component in one set of my files? There are thousands of instances at this point and it would take me a silly amount of time to do it manually.(Also a note in case it’s relevant - none of my components currently use variables)

Hi team,I’m Prakash Hinduja from Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss) running into a problem in Figma where I’m unable to move or edit a component — it seems to be locked or restricted in some way. Hello Figma Site community!I recently launched my portfolio using Figma Site. After gathering some user feedback, I realized that people would like to manually scroll through the project photos.Personally, I’d like to keep the infinite marquee effect, but also add a way for users to manually scroll, either using arrows or horizontal scroll.The problem is, my images are inside an Image Strip component, and it seems like Figma Site doesn’t allow combining marquee with manual interactions.Has anyone found a workaround or solution to allow both features to work together?I'm happy to show my settings panel and share the site link if needed.https://www.claramistou.frThanks a lot! 🙏Clara

Every file I try to open has the same issue: the working area is gray and I cannot interact with it. However, the menu works, I see all options and layers. Still, I can’t do anything with them. How can I fix this?  

Hi everyone,I searched the forum but only found general issues about right-click not working at all – nothing about this specific behavior:When I right-click (or ctrl-click) on an object, I only get the short context menu (see first screenshot), instead of the full extended one (see second screenshot). This really slows down my workflow.I’m using the Figma Desktop App version 125.4.9, optimized for Apple Silicon, on a MacBook Pro (2021) with macOS Sonoma 14.5 and an Apple M1 Pro.Has anyone experienced this? Could this be a setting I’ve missed or a bug?Thanks in advance for any help!  

Any idea why this would be? The autoplay is turned on - and the sound is off but when previewing all the video’s sound is on!

I shared a Figma link with my friends, setting their permissions as Viewer. However, after some time, the permissions for some of them who accessed the file automatically changed to Editor. When I checked the file again, all settings still showed Viewer. How can I fix this issue?

Settings pageHey, as a new user, I tried to create a configuration page using “open overlay”, but it seems that this prevents interactions from the background. I don't see any options to change this state, if anyone has an idea. As soon as I click on an icon (here the language icon), it opens an overlay that blocks all interactions from the background.
