I have run out of verification limit twice, The only prerequisite of being a student is College mail and college ID SheerID cant even verify that. education@figma.com was of no help either. Said that only sheerID can help.

The student verification process is fully handled by our partner, SheerID, which means they’re the only ones who can reset your verification attempts and review why the uploads aren’t being accepted. The best next step is to reach out to their support team again so they can take a closer look and reset your limit.

I am sorry to direct you again to SheerID support to work with them on your issue. I’d maybe recommend to ask for clear instruction how a ID should be uploaded, so you can follow it.

Hi, can you please do the same for me? Whenever I try it says, “Error: We had trouble validating your ID”, when I try to upload my driver’s license. The images of the front and back of my license are very clear and legible. I don’t know what else to do. I may have run out of verification attempts for a second time. I am currently working on a group project in grad school, so I cannot lose access, but it says I must renew my Education plan by May 29th.
Please help.

This is what SheerID said. How is this helpful? I have done as clear as I can and ofcourse I have put two separate images for front & back. It is definitely some technical error or maybe the service they are using (Regula) isnt working right on some Indian IDs (because most of my classmates and people I know are facing the same issues)

Same thing is happening to me as well. I attempted to re-verify my Figma student account, but the system is now showing “Verification limit exceeded.”
I reached out to SheerID via email, but their response was:
“We were unable to process your verification request. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”
I am not able to re-verify my student plan otherwise, and this needs to be resolved before 29 September. Since SheerID has not provided any assistance, I would greatly appreciate your

Since the verification process is fully handled by our partner, SheerID, I unfortunately don’t have the ability to step in directly. That said, I’ll be making sure your feedback and the issues you’ve described are passed along internally to our teams, so they’re aware of this.
In the meantime, if your ticket has been closed, the best step is to open a new one with SheerID so they can take another look. I know that’s not ideal, especially given how many attempts you’ve already made, but it’s currently the only way forward for verification.

I havent been able to verify my account.I attempted to re-verify my Figma student account, but the system is now showing “Verification limit exceeded.” and it’s auto-rejecting my Id everytime I upload.
No contact has been made from SheerId side for manual verification. I have a college bonafide that proves I am a student. I dont know what else to do since only 1 days are left. No help has been provided from SheerId’s side since the very beginning. They just conveniently keep closing the tickets permanently.
Please look into this and do the needful.
This is quite frustrating as a user.
And contacting SheerId directly is leading to absolutely nothing. I have been trying this since the last 15 days and only 1 day is left now. I don’t know what to do.

Unacceptable response from SheerID, and since Figma requires verification of an educational version, it would seem that you should be able to help us resolve this issue. We won’t remember SheerId, but Figma will leave a bad user experience!

As mentioned by Gayani and others in the community, if you’ve already reached out to SheerID support, the next best course or action is reaching out again or replying to SheerID Verification Support and CC’ing a copy to education@figma.com.
From there, our Education team will be able to help guide the verification process, as needed.

Our Education team is not able to manually review documents or change review status.
To help complete your verification, please be sure any documentation you submit includes:
- Your full name
- Your university’s name
- Current term dates
In many cases, unofficial transcripts work well for students. If you don’t have access to that, any official university-issued document that includes the details above should also work.
