Please make a notchless version of the prototype preview for the macbook pro 16". the notch makes Figma completely useless for website designs as it rams into the design. And that’s not the behaviour apps have under MacOS. It leaves space to hide the notch and give you a rectangular viewport.
Hi everyone, Just purchased a file, the purchase went through and…. Nothing. The file didn’t open and I can’t find it anywhere. Is there a place in Figma where all the purchases files are listed? I found the file I ‘bought’ through the Community browser and it still says “Buy for ...”, I can’t download it. I have a receipt.
Calling all Figma Prototyping Gurus!! Interaction challenge. Trying to incorporate a pretty common interaction these days of a UI panel expanding smoothly from it's position in a scrollable stacked grid to a detailed view, then contracts back when closed. I feel like I've explored every avenue to figuring this one out (Smart animate, scroll position states on/off, using overlays, swapping overlays, chanting to the gods...) unfortunately, looking like it's not possible in Figma. As soon as the grid stack of panels is scrolled out of it's original position it breaks the interaction. So, before I lose all my hair and close the book on this one, thought I put it out there and see if anyone else has or can figure a work around to this basic interaction.
I'm experiencing an issue with the Figma MCP server where annotations are not being recognized by Figma AI. I believe this is related to how annotations are handled within component instances and nested structures. Since our design system follows an atomic design approach and composes components using other components, annotations placed within inner components are not visible to the MCP server. The annotations appear to be hidden when they exist inside component instances, as Figma doesn't expose nested instance annotations unless working with the original master component directly. Please advise if there are plans to enhance the MCP server's ability to access nested component annotations, or if there are recommended ways to add annotations in atomic design systems to ensure they work well with the MCP server.
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m currently building my portfolio site with Figma Sites (loving it so far! 🎉), but I’m running into a GDPR question. I plan to add Google Analytics for basic traffic stats — which means I technically need a cookie consent modal for GDPR compliance (I’m in the EU).As far as I can see, Figma Sites doesn’t (yet) support any built-in cookie consent options. So my questions: How are others here handling cookie consent with Figma Sites? Is there any native solution planned? Have you successfully embedded 3rd party tools like CookieYes, Osano or others? Any tips or workarounds would be super appreciated! 🙏
I’m working on a ‘to-do list’ feature, and we use the strikethrough styling on the ‘done’ state variants of our ‘to-do item’ component. The problem is, that figma treats it as a persistent override. I want the strikethrough to appear/disappear when the task is marked done/undone. But it persists when the states are being toggled. To-do type apps are super common, does anyone have a workaround? I dont see anyone talking about this problem in the forum, so I don’t know if the Figma team is aware of this. For our prototype, we ended up manually creating a strike line with an absolute-positioned line object. Obviously this hack isnt responsive and cannot be used for our ‘real’ library component. It also doesnt account for multiple lines of text.
If I change the icon in a button and then change the state of a button from default to hover, the icon color does NOT change. (works fine if you don’t change the icon)I’m using stroke icons, and the scope settings in the color variable is set up to handle stroke. Please let me know what I need to do to so the swapped icon will change color on override.Video: https://monosnap.com/file/RUUxOXXXdznZoemEG4Aow5wO4As8Vx
Tired of Figma’s fixed shortcuts? From now on, Shortcuts takes over. Set any key combo you like and let your workflow obey you 👇 🔑 Tweak Figma’s default keys Align left, distribute horizontally, full width/height… Replace every “locked” combo with the keys you find most comfortable. No more compromises. ✨ Create shortcuts for any action Copy the sample scripts and bind keys for tasks like “16 px border-radius”, “swap brand color”, “rename selected layers”. No heavy plugin coding needed—just a light script, a shortcut, and instant automation. ⚙️ Action cards, crystal clear **⌘ + click** a card → set its shortcut right away **⌥ + click** a card → run it for a quick test Real-time conflict alerts keep things tidy. 📥 Quick start: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/Shortcuts Turn hundreds of daily clicks into a handful of keystrokes and speed up your design flow 🚀 🚀 Figma Script Generator: https://poplab.ai/apps/tankXWAJ2nEm6h4bZWZFI 📖 Designer-friendly Figma Script docs: https://
Please get back old verion of Grid with Wrap function! New one is not working well and it doesn’t fit needs of the projects! New Grid doesn’t support vertical Hug, It makes strange gaps between components in grid based on size of the container.
Am I missing something or is the old Community home completely gone? It used to feel like its own place, with clear navigation, and a nice way to filter and discover new plugins. The new “Tools & Templates” tab just feels so…. clinical, sterile, barebones. It feels like a downgrade.
Hi Figma, I’m new to Figma and just started yesterday. I was working on a project using the AI Beta feature, which allows 3 free uses per day, and I’m really happy with the progress so far. I was planning to upgrade to the Professional plan (with a seat) so I could continue working on it. While searching today for free options for students, I came across the Education plan and got verified. Unfortunately, when I revisited my project, this plan doesn’t include access to the AI Beta feature I was using. How can I revert back to the normal plan and pay instead, so I can continue my project? Also, if I upgrade, will I still be able to access the project I was working on? It’s very important to me. Thank you so much!
Unable to change Community Profile name to “Wai Technologies” and have to upload profile picture, not able to do it. Please assist on the same.
Every time I paste the copied YouTube link where the YouTube video is supposed to start at a specific timestamp it starts from the beginning. When I paste the link into the browser the video starts in the correct spot. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to get the link to start at the proper timestamp? I have created a badge inside Figma, and it consists of two elements. The background element is positioned at x:0, y:0, and the foreground element is centrally positioned in respect to the foreground element. Both elements are using integer values for positioning. When I go to the export menu I get the following error messages: Origin not aligned to pixels. Origin snapped to (-5, -16). Dimensions may expand by a pixel. I get those messages regardless whether I'm exporting as PNG or SVG. When I export the work as a PNG everything from Figma gets preserved on that PNG image, but the problem starts s when I export the work as an SVG. When I do export it as an SVG file and I open it in Inkscape or I use it as a component on the website, it gets messed up. The gradient from the badge does not get preserved, the edges become rough, and it doesn’t look like an SVG element but rather as a low quality jpeg file. Then I have created a completely new file in Figma and draw a triangle shape inside
