I am trying to use the plugin ‘Magician’ in Figma, but when I do, it asks for an access code. However, when I click ‘Start Free Trial,’ it just loops back to Figma. What am I missing?

If I use “ctrl + c” to copy a file from my computer, then select the layer in Figma I want to update and use “ctrl +v” to paste/replace it. The layer will inherit the name of the file on the desktop. So if it’s “IMG_ASD123” the Figma layer changes to be named this instead of what it was labeled in Figma. Is this a recent update? It never used to happen? It’s a bit frustrating as I used to name my layers “Asset (3:4)” or whatnot to indicate to dev what the ratio of the asset was but now I need to keep renaming it everytime I copy/paste a new assets onto the layer. Is there a way to disable this at all? Thanks in advance! 🙂
I don’t use Figma all the time, I don’t want it to run anything on startup. It’s frustrating to manually remove Figma from Login Items, since it automatically adds itself there again. It would be nice to have at least an option to disable it in settings, or even better - remove that functionality at all, since it’s not user friendly. I want control over what and when the apps do at my workstation. P.S. If it’s needed for updates check - I’m more than okay to update on app start
Example of Figma NOT exporting the gradient I set a gradient in the Fill and when I export the image the background will NOT contain the gradient fill? why is that?
If I change the icon in a button and then change the state of a button from default to hover, the icon color does NOT change. (works fine if you don’t change the icon)I’m using stroke icons, and the scope settings in the color variable is set up to handle stroke. Please let me know what I need to do to so the swapped icon will change color on override.Video: https://monosnap.com/file/RUUxOXXXdznZoemEG4Aow5wO4As8Vx
Hello, An admin-level dashboard for Figma AI analytics would be invaluable, giving us the visibility needed to: Measure Business Impact: Track adoption rates and usage to satisfy our internal reporting requirements. Drive Strategic Adoption: Identify which AI features are most popular and which teams are leading adoption. I just trying to reorder the variable but the row didn’t show the hint to drag an drop 22 July 2025 have any update ? [The title of his post was updated from “cannot reorder in variable 22 JUL” to “Unable to Reorder Values in Variable Panel — July 22 Update” by a moderator on 22-Jul-2025.]
I’d love to see support for automatically renaming layers to match the filename of an image that's placed or replaced in a design. Right now, Figma uses the image filename as a layer name inconsistently—mostly during the initial placement, and not when replacing an image. This leads to extra manual work and inconsistent layer naming, especially when working with many assets. It would be incredibly helpful if Figma could auto-update the layer name to reflect the actual filename of the image fill—ideally both on placement and when replacing an image. Thanks for considering this improvement!
State change interactions are not working properly in component instances prototypes. Ex: button hover state is not activated when hovering; collapsed search bar breaks when changing to default (open) state. All interactions work as expected in the main component. They only break in the instances.
I simply drag and drop a component to inside of another component but didn’t work. I can’t add component as a child element to another component.
When i migrated my Google account on new e-mail I’m lost control under files. how can I return that?
We're currently experiencing an issue with Google authentication in our Figma Make + Supabase setup. When a user attempts to sign up using their Google account, the user is successfully created in Supabase, but the OAuth callback URL doesn't work as expected. As a result, the user isn't redirected to the authenticated part of the application. This breaks the login flow, effectively preventing access to the app despite the user being created in the Supabase auth table.
I’m trying to use Figma Buzz to create some templates. We have an icon library that uses a swap instance property within the component to swap out the icon as well as a property to define the size of the icon. As you can see in the image, it is only showing that first property of size of the icon and doesn’t let me switch out the actual icon with the instance swap. Is this a bug or limitation? If I click one more time it does show me my nested instance property where I can turn on the fill of the icon, but I don’t see how to access all the icons through the instance swap property we have on the component. This image shows the replacements it’s offering me, which is to only change the size of the icon. This image shows our original component we have size properties to define the size of the icon, and then an instance swap to choose the actual icon. Are we doing this wrong for this to be useful in Figma Buzz. Why can’t we see this other property in Figma Buzz?
