Hello, I built a Figma prototype for our desktop platform, and one of the screens includes a chat-like interface with multiple suggestion blocks. During a recent demo, one of our team members presented this screen, but the layout appeared incorrectly on his side — the suggestion blocks were rendered higher than they should be, misaligned with the actual Figma design. I double-checked the components and screens in Figma, and everything looks fine on my end. When I preview the prototype myself, it displays correctly. Interestingly, on his side, the screen renders correctly about 90% of the time — but occasionally, it still breaks. I’m trying to figure out what might be causing this inconsistency. This is how it should be: And this is how he sees it:
This past week there is an issue that has been coming up a lot lately with transparencies in exported PNG file from Figma. In the years using Figma, I have never experienced this issue.I went a few rounds with this issue even creating modules from scratch (framing shapes, masking shapes and so on) and was still having small fine transparency issues at the bottom and sometimes the top of my exported PNGs. Alll frames in the Figma platform had no gaps in the frame and the shapes what so ever. Anything I did when exporting seem ineffective and transparency issues were still present. I showed another Figma designer this issue and did create some modules step by step in collaboration and we both could not figure out what was causing this issue. The only conclusion we could draw is there was an issue with Figma itself. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue also?
How can I fix the problem where some parts of the image are corrupted when exporting the image to png?
When exporting variant names, the file name becomes a combination of all the variant properties. There is no way to control the variant export name, which is especially difficult for developer hand-off. In this example, I have a back icon variant group (Named “Back”) containing both an Apple and an Android variant of the back icon. If I then go to export the Apple variant as an SVG, The variant export name then defaults to “OS Type=Apple.svg” It would be even worse if I had multiple properties. For example, having two more properties could result in a variant name export as “OS Type=Apple, Direction=Left, Style=Line.svg” This is a very poor naming convention, especially for icons. What I would like to have is the ability to control the name given to each variant export. In the above example, I would like the Apple icon to export as the name “back.ios.svg” and the Android icon to export as “back.android.svg”. This way, our developers can export assets as needed directly from Figma witho
Hello. I have recieved notification on email that my student plan expires in 4 weeks, though it has been only 1 year since i’ve registered in figma and i also verified my edu plan this year. I have read that student plan is valid for 2 years, so why mine expires so soon?
It would be a great idea to add the ability to move annotations (сhanging the place). Right now, they’re fixed in place and can overlap other elements. And you cannot change it.What I mean is the ability to reposition an annotation freely while keeping the link to the target object intact.Annotations are a really useful feature—thank you! Previously, I had to create similar functionality using my own objects. Please do not move this offer to another discussion. 🙏 Can we move the Figma Annotations (in dev mode) from one Figma project to another? These are different questions.
Figma Team, This is absolutely unacceptable. A payment was made from my credit card, without any authentication or prior notification. What’s even more shocking is that I never saved my card details on my account, yet the billing was processed automatically. This is a serious breach of data protection and financial security. What if I didn’t have sufficient funds? What if I didn’t want to make the payment? You cannot just charge users without consent—this is outright unethical and borderline fraudulent. This is completely unacceptable, especially since my card is not supposed to be saved with you. How did this even happen? I demand an immediate explanation and resolution. This level of negligence is beyond disappointing, and I expect a prompt response. I have already sent an email about this issue. I expect a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you for addressing this issue as soon as possible.
I am working on integrating Figma's API to automate certain tasks, specifically adding images into nodes within Figma files. The process involves using Make.com to send API requests to Figma to modify a node (for example, inserting an image into a rectangle). I am using Google Drive to upload the image generated from ChatGPT and then obtaining a URL to insert it into Figma. Could this be causing the issue, or is the problem related only to the API? I have successfully set up the API calls for retrieving file content and getting node information using the GET method, and I am able to retrieve the necessary data from Figma. However, when attempting to send a PATCH request to modify a node (inserting an image into a rectangle), I face an error. The problem: Error 404 (Not Found): When attempting to use a PATCH request to modify the node by adding an image, I receive a 404 Not Found error. This occurs even though I can retrieve the file and node data via GET successfully. Possible Cause: T
Hi everyone. I’m still a beginner in Figma and I have been trying to create an interactive map to put as an embedding element on a website.I was trying to make use of the hover effect so the image will be changed into different colour to emphasise it. The problem is the boarder lines between countries - as the components cannot be placed on the same layer, the overlapping boarder will not be shown properly with the selected component. Please see below. Is there any way to fix this or how should I add layer to it? Thanks a lot!
I was going to praise how neat the new Annotation feature is, when I realized the content is only visible to Dev Mode accounts. Are you serious? I understand you want to limit creating annotations to certain seat types, but viewing annotations should be a viewer-level feature. Come on Figma, there are better ways to convince your users to pay for a subscription. This is such a crooked move.
This is on version 125.5.6 for Apple Silicon. I could swear that previously, when I opened the ‘Add to version history’ modal, the Title field would automatically receive focus, allowing me to start typing immediately. Now it requires pressing Tab to focus the Title field first. I found a similar issue but it’s not the same.
When creating multiple assets from a template using CSV data (e.g., one row per person), each generated frame/file keeps the same name as the original template. For example: if I generate 20 assets for 20 people, all files are named “Template” or “Fichier”, which makes it difficult to sort or manage exports afterwards. It would be very helpful if we could assign a line data to the name of the template.
