Let us know what would make Figma better for you.

Currently, the preview is locked to whatever dimension the design is (if your design is 1440, the prototype/preview will always bee 1440). This is fine if you’re designing for mobile, where the dimensions are largely fixed; however, it’s a nightmare for Web. Especially if you need to send the design for user testing or stakeholder feedback. If their screen dimensions are not exactly the same as the design, they won’t see an accurate representation. The preview should be ADAPTIVE to the design’s constraints and layout behavior, or else what’s the point? Framer does this beautifully and has different preview options to allow for this. Quick Note: This is NOT the same as ‘Responsive’ preview, where the design changes as you change the screen size.
I am facing a problem where I could not figure out why I can not scrolling some of frames. I contacted support and they figured out that it is because some frames were just overlays and the feature to scroll on them is not possible. So why not make it possible?
Helloo! Working in a designer web agency, i’ve found it useful to share my files with clients – but this is sometimes a double edged sword and can hit us in the back with untimely feedback/unexpected feedback, which can set us back timeline wise as clients put feedback in last minute. We’ve also found that when they’ve had access, the client has come across half baked ideas and became confused about what’s included in the project and what isn’t, and what’s just an idea. I’d like to propose an idea where an admin of an organisation can add a user, where their access will be revoked at a certain ‘date, time, etc.’ This way, clients can be set in a timeline where they can get all of their feedback and comments in, before they have their feedback revoked. I feel this would be a useful feature to automate removing access from clients at times, and to avoid making ‘client only’ files to hide certain designs from their eyes. I’ve attached a really rough mockup below: Does anyone else experie
When I tried to rotate several layers in different groups, they are multi-edited. I just want to know how to temporarily disable Multi-edit feature to give back the legacy rotating & resizing behavior? For example I want to rotate multiple shape in this logo: There are layers that are masked and placed in different groups. Previously they would be rotated as a group of selected items although they were not grouped, in other words they had the same pivot in the center of the selection. But now they are rotated individually around their own pivots. New Multi-edit feature is useful if you work on multiple frames with similar objects. But in a specific place or frame or group, it is not necessary. Those selected layers obviously are not “matching layers” at all. I also found out that objects that in the same level/group/section will be rotated the way I mentioned like in this video. But sometimes I also need them to have the same pivot.
Hi there, I have the Setting to rename duplicated layers toggled ON as you can see: But when I duplicate my layers, if the naming follows the pattern “name-01” they are not adding to the number as they used to do before. I see that it works when using space instead of hyphenation, though. Just checking to see if this is expected, because it feels like a bug to me. bellow you can see how the naming worked for different layer names after duplicating the layers.
Would be ideal if you could make something interactive within the context of a slide deck. At the most basic level, allow for scrolling of a webpage or app within a slide to show more vertical content.
When I select multiple files, the only options are to duplicate or delete the file. I need to move it
It would be helpful to be able to see when a ‘pending’ user was invited to join an instance and who added them.
Would love to be able to easily flatten a frame group when in the slide deck.
I used Freehand (invision) as my whit-boarding tool, now switching to FigJam; it’s almost impossible to draw quick sketches/ low-fid wireframes. The ability to use the line tool without snapping to other objects would be a great help. It’s ok to have limited colours, but it is challenging to achieve depth in sketches and communicate the idea without colour opacity. In our white-boarding session, we don’t need a full-on mind mapping tool 100% of the time (to connect everything). I also attached a sample of how I use Freehand.
I’m currently working on a project in Figma and would like to know how to hide section names within my design. Could please guide me on the steps to accomplish this? Any tips or best practices for managing sections and improving the overall organization of my design would also be greatly appreciated.
I cant change variables with smart animate now, so feature changing variables working good only for layers that cant be smart animated, like text, but another variables like string (that is variant), cant be smart animated, if i change it like variables in conditions. And this trouble clearly visible, when i try to change nested variable instances, they change with “instant” effect, like all the variables. it is very hard to work this way, with simple variables, nested variables and interdependent variables, unfortunately, because of this trouble it makes variables interesting to use only for text layer change. And i have to work with Figma old way. Please, hear it and make some changes
When I share my designs with developers/stakeholders/whoever in presentation mode, they are unable to select text to copy. Seems really basic, right?
I have 1 comment on a page and it looks like I have 5 or sometimes 200+… This is cause there are older comments resolved included in this count. It would be helpful to have comments count decrease as they become resolved. Does anyone else experience this? Please vote (Button above- yes I expected it below the description too)
When using the Auto Layout Wrap feature, it would be highly beneficial to include an “absolute fill” option, possibly within the min/max dropdown. I have encountered several instances while designing forms where there are multiple items on one row, followed by a single item on the next, and then multiple items again. Currently, to ensure responsiveness across various screen sizes, I need to create a new auto layout for each row. Otherwise, the items on the row after the single item are moved up when the screen size increases. While I can set the minimum size to be wider than the largest screen to mitigate this issue, it results in text being cut off on smaller screens. An “absolute fill” option would address this by allowing a specified item to occupy the entire line regardless of screen width, thereby pushing subsequent items to the next line. This feature would be particularly useful for forms, where designing for redundancy is often necessary, especially when considering mobile resp
make it so that when you switch between screens in the application, just like in the prototype window on the desktop, you can see which screens are currently on the device screen, just like for the desktop (through frame highlighting)
I has 2 screen, one is 14 inch macbook, another is 32 inch monitor. This the premise. I usually open main work window in monitor, and design library window in macbook, so I can easy find the right design component and directory copy/paste to use it. but when I adjust side bar width in one windows, it will affect another one. In 32 inch window, I want right sidebar bar to be wider, but it make sider bar in 14 inch window wider too, and become hard to use since the small stage area for design.
I don’t know how to focus and follow on paid documents, i want to add to my favorites
this button so big! class="widget-button btn collapse-up no-text btn-icon"
I like holding shift to draw straight lines but I want to be able to drag that to 45 degree angles.
I wish there was a checkbox next to the slide number on the left to check to mark as complete! It could highlight it somehow and offer a different highlight on the slides not marked complete. Then as you can the toolbar of slides it’s really easy to see which ones need your attention still. I can’t work linearly. LOL Even a % complete bar at the top to encourage you to keep going and finish it!
UI3 List Elements such as Layer List or Colors are quite small and have a tiny click area. Could you increase the size of the elements again or give an option to increase overall size of the UI? Old UI felt less condensed.
For some use cases it would be amazing to have the possibility to group different flows into a folder, currently the alternative is to: create new empty frames Turn these frames into flow starting points Rename them with ------ Reorder to use them as dividers
I’d like to sort stickies by creation date, added as an option here
