Figma please fix percentage sizing on items

The new Figma seems to not process percentages on sizing, compared to the older version.

Video shows me adding auto layout to two items, overlaying one item and setting the width as a 50% width, which it cannot process. Switching back to the old Figma I can simply change the percentage there and it works fine.
