Hey there! Is it possible to make a slide in a Figma Slide Deck file non-clickable i.e. not leading to the next slide on-click?The only option I’ve come up with is to place a huge text linked to this same slide, the problem is when clicked it starts to reload the whole presentation 

I spend a lot of time copy-pasting text from google docs or word docs, then going through and pasting it into different artboards or text boxes to lay it out. I would love to see an option to paste a large block of text and have Figma give the option to separate paragraphs in different text boxes. An additional option could be to detect styling from other applications and offer to separate the text by style (e.g. header 1, header 2, header 3, body/normal, etc). Finally, the option to contain it all in an auto layout would be great.This could save me a ton of time that I could be using designing instead of switching between apps and copy-pasting.

Two new figma updates i’d love to see:Figma to add a way in the left rail where you can CHOOSE to expand main layers independent from sublayers. Currently you can only expand all, or collapse all.  For there to be a way to find and/or select all hidden layers at once.

Please organize the exposed nested instances better. Having every nested instance expanded and not grouped by parent instance is so difficult to parse through. these nested instances repeat for each card in the carousel. please group them by card with a clear header not just a dropdown chevron. 

As a lead designer of a growing product, I want to make sure my cured designs are hard to leak.The logic of the designs, carefully reviewed by stakeholders of all sorts, should be protected from easy copying. Some engineering might help alert users about their exports being noticed.1) Restrict screenshots;2) Have a list of users who’ve used [Cmd+Shift+C] to track every export move;What are your thoughts on this?

I would love to have some basic editing functionality on the iOS and Android App! For example to have at least some text editing options in the app instead of just being able to create comments. It would be super usefull in my FigJam files. The Microsoft Whiteboard app is a good example, but i’d love to use FigJam on my phone :)

Feature Suggestion:Enable users to select one or multiple text components in Figma and auto-fill them with numbers, words, dates, or randomized placeholders. Users can choose from data types such as sequential or random numbers, lorem ipsum text, predefined word lists, or dynamic values like today’s date. This feature would streamline the process of populating mock designs, forms, or dashboards with realistic placeholder data, saving time, improving consistency, and enhancing prototyping efficiency. I know it could save me a a lot of time!

I have jumped from Xd to Figma 2 years ago and it is so frustrating when you are working with many layers. When you select a frame that is directly on the canvas, why would i need to see all frames on the side panel when I am working on one. I want to see all the layers only when I click tha canvas. I have frames with thousands of layers inside and it gets really messy. And no, do not suggest to add new pages because that is not a solution.

In Figjam it would be nice if Text on creation keeps the previous you selected (just like how the marker keeps the same color you select for each marking you do).Currently, Text color reverts back to the default color every time you add text. So it’s a bit tedious to have to constantly keep changing the color every time I add text especially since I like to take color coded notes. This feature would be nice.

Just wondering if we could get a options under preferences to invert the behavior of right and left click.Where → Left Click dragsAnd →  Right Click selects The ability to customize keyboard shortcuts would be +1 in general.Thank you. 

On many occasions, I need to copy screens as PNGs from the Present mode of my prototype, so that I can put them in my slide decks. Figma does not allow any export functionality in Present mode. My only workaround is to take screenshots, crop them and use in my slides. It would be great if Figma can support this feature.  

I wonder if this is in the roadmap for the variable feature. It would be super useful to have a new variable type that allows us to set a different graphic asset per mode. Some cases here: Company logo on whitelabels. Swapping theme would also swap the logo Platform related assets, like icons for android and iOS Platform related components: for example Android Top Navigation and iOS Top Navigation Does it make sense?

Place guides in exact positions and ability to copy-paste guides from specific positions within a frame and paste them into the same positions in another frame.

For the love for all of the Gods, just put some safeguard to this functionality.I’m using it often to generate a versioned links to give a context to a client what was the current stage of the project.Problem:Delete is near the copy link and countless of times, when in the rush, I’ve just clicked Delete instead of the copy. Which is resulting in all links to generated so far are just became invalid…New created version, even with exact same title and description just have a different ID so i need to generate all the links again and it’s just outrageous…Solution:Just put a pop-up to confirm deleting the info and it will be all fine or a possibility to undo the action or an option to restore the deleted one please, anything, please.

It would be helpful if Admins could purchase plugin licenses and assign them to users as needed.WhyAdmin would not have to chase expense reports for every users each month nor have to share credit cards and expend hawk like vigilance on the monthly credit card receipts in case a plugin kept being payed for while nobody used it.Howthe same way you currently allow plugins and we could have a check box to add payment of the plugin to the main Figma billing. The payment API could also have an opt-in to allow creators to give a batch discount on multiple licenses.

I use slots a lot, and I also keep component names short and generic, and rely on section names as unique identifiers. One downside is that sometimes I’m searching for “slot” to replace “slot” and it’s a bit of a nightmare. It would be nice to add “In this section” or something like that. 

I love using Figma for my slide decks but I miss having my notes while in presentation mode. If I could have similar functionality I would adopt Figma as my slide deck tool 100%!

  Why is this dropdown so narrow?? I’m given 10 letters to distinguish my component variant names from each other?? And then it’s truncated? Get it together!

Switching completely to Enterprise is not enough as a current solution. 

I wanted to highlight a crucial feature missing in Figma that would greatly enhance our design workflow. Unlike Adobe XD, Figma currently lacks support for DotLottie and JSON animation files. Given Figma’s web-based focus, integrating these formats would significantly improve our ability to create dynamic and interactive web content directly within Figma. This feature is not just a convenience but a necessity for staying competitive and meeting the evolving demands of modern web design. I kindly request your team to consider implementing support for DotLottie and JSON animations in future updates.

Over and over and over again:select a few things at once SHIFT+A to autolayout change autolayout orientation to L→R OOPS all the children’s widths are screwed up now undo, select every child, update width to “fixed” or “hug” as appropriate change autolayout orientation to L→RAnything that auto-updates children/parents is a problem, but I do understand why SOMETIMES it makes sense or is necessary. This is neither and is maddening!
