It would be great to have an option to save filters in the Recents tab.Every time I open Figma, I have to manually filter my files to show only Design files. I’d like Figma to remember my filter selection, so that it persists after restarting the app or reopening Figma.
This thread is here for you to share your thoughts and suggestions about the Figma Forum. We’re proud of the work we’ve done so far, but we know there’s always room to make things even better. Here’s some prompts that you can use:What are your thoughts on the forum makeover of January 2025? What do you like the most? What have you struggled with so far? / What are the top three areas that need improvement? What would you like to see us implement next?If you spot a bug or have any feedback, drop a reply here — we’ll do our best to respond and improve!
I don’t need the layer thumbnails in the layer list. They clutter the layout. Is there a way to turn them off? The right-hand rail used to have variable pickers that let you select a padding or size variable from the attached design system, but they went away. This is going to slow down work in Figma significantly. Is there a way to turn those back on?
The management of seats is absolutely terrible. We have unused seats, and there is no way in the user interface to remove them to avoid being charged in the next billing cycle. If this is automatically not charged, it is not explained anywhere. The most terrible experience I had managing subscriptions after 25 years of actively using internet.
Hi Figma Support,When writing a comment, accidentally double-clicking the canvas closes the comment box and deletes everything I’ve typed. This is frustrating, especially after spending time writing detailed feedback.Could you preserve unsent comments as drafts so they can be recovered when reopening the comment box? Alternatively, a confirmation prompt before discarding a comment would help prevent accidental loss.Thank you for considering this improvement!
Hello, the AI Agent feature is kind of nice & such help lately. But I kind of need a button to mark all chat as read. It’s a hassle to check them one by one. Thank you Figma Team!
K shortcut for Scale should work in animate mode aswell
I’ve been waiting for this so long:Thank you Figma!
The recent figma autolayout update has brought up conflicting emotions. From one point it’s great that the autolayout would work closer to code, but on the other hand for teams that do more complex projects than Web UI, this creates a loooot of issues. 3 things in particular, that I know for sure, will break what we've been using in case of complex layouts:"Padding now always gets the room it needs" - Often when necessary, I relied on the fact that you can set auto-layout frame size to 0 and add paddings inside to allow precise position of elements without affecting the size and position parent and sibling frames. Now that won't be possible. "Inside strokes counting in autolayout" - again pretty sure this will break layouts where inside stroke was used. "Stacks with gap set to auto no longer overlap" - A lot of cases it's better to have parent in the desired size than have the parent rely on the children. Then we will get uneven distances and paddings in some cases. All of this would
Hello! I am a community advocate for FOF, Sofia for Bulgaria and we experience difficulties when we want to use Bulgarian Cyrillic in several fonts with the “Stylistic sets” feature, but Bulgarian Cyrillic just doesn’t work. When I try the same in Adobe Illustrator for example - there are no problems. The only solution we’re able to find is to change the font’s core defaults to this type of Cyrillic, otherwise, it is impossible to use the stylistic set in Figma. Best Regards, Daniel Dungyov
I was waiting half a day to get access within Figma to a file… and I saw I had 3 emails telling me to accept access OMFG WHY!?What for? I used to work with Figma Enterprise and there was no “acceptance” if you asked to edit… it just turned on to be edited voila… And what’s with the time of waiting for actually getting access after the person agrees on the other side?
In the past week there has been a noticeable change in the results. It seems to be good for analyzing and giving feedback but something has changed on the design part. It’s able to create new designs based on references, but when I try to get it to create something like marketing images of existing designs, it tries to redesign the screens and replace existing images with AI images.
Did Figma do a rug-pull with Agents recently? (< 2 weeks) Previously, with the exact same level of detail and instructions in prompts, I was singing Agents praises. This week it won’t follow simple instructions and each time admits it’s not paying close enough attention. Did Figma make a conscientious decision to downgrade underlying LLM?Based on recent utility, I’m better off doing it all myself. Not even out of Beta yet and already garbage.
Is it possible to allow the overlaid material to follow the rules in a frame.e.g when I use an overlay in a frame when I scroll it overlays even over a Sticky top header.Meaning the overlaid material breaks position rule. Please can you make an option for it to follow position or have it overlay over all content on the screen.
I’m trying to recreate the structure of our Text Field web component with slots. I would prefer the Figma slots to behave similar to the <slot> element in that they wouldn’t reserve space until there is content in them.Currently I can work around this by adding a boolean property that controls visibility of each slot but this adds clutter to the property controls. In the properties panel slot contents are described as “Default” or “Modified”. Having a third state “Empty” that also hides the slot from Auto Layout would solve both for me.
I started to try using agents to help find some holes in the my designn system but I asked it to make a simple one variable change and it disconnected everything variable in my whol design system. Losing hours and work. It could not fix the problem. I will not be using figma agents again. Has this happened to anyone else??
Everything is already mentioned in the title 🙂.These may already be planned features, but having the ability to animate changes in size and weight using variable fonts would be a real must-have for Figma motion. I’d also love to see support for SVG morphing animations, allowing users to animate the transformation of an SVG’s shape by editing and animating its anchor points and handles.
Not sure if we like the current placement of the new Agent features. It sits right over active screen elements while working, so the chances of accidentally clicking it are super high and pretty annoying.
I am building agents that are generating lots of designs, and I need to be able to organize those designs automatically instead of them just kind of gallivanting in my drafts.

Why did Figma choose to remove the type size from the panel. Not a good move. We create styles H3,H4, etc figma used to display: Body copy - 14pxNow… we have to click on style to see what the dimension. Not a good move. No one memorizes what size and line spacing H2 could be…You tried to make the panel minimal and ended up adding extra unnecessary clicks. Knowing a type size is crucial. Bring it back to surface please.
The bottom part of the icon feels too visually dense — all the elements blend together, which creates a lot of visual noise. This makes the icon hard to distinguish and difficult to find quickly among other desktop icons. I think simplifying this area or improving the separation between the elements would make the icon much more recognizable at a glance.
When I have a typography style applied, I want to be able to change to a pre-saved option as easy as I can do it for colors. Now if I detatch the typography style, I want to be able to apply another style right away. I think what can help is to show the “library” select component when clicking on the “apply styles” icon button. When I click there I expect to see Text styles I have saved. However, the ones that are shown on my image I didn’t create and the only one library added to this file is not he first option being displayed. It is so frustrating and difficult to find the ones I have save and added to the library.
Hello, good day.I’m experiencing serious issues with the new Figma UI update. Many essential tools — such as padding controls — are missing or hidden. Please do not enforce this new version. The previous UI was much better, clearer, and far more efficient for designers. This new version has no advantages, feels confusing, and makes our workflow significantly harder.
I’m posting this as a former paying subscriber because the usability problems became frustrating enough that I cancelled my subscription. My main issue is not what Figma can do — it’s how unnecessarily difficult it is to continue existing work.I’m using Figma for an app project, and something as basic as reopening the same project, finding the correct working file, returning to Figma Make, and locating the AI prompt workspace has repeatedly been confusing. The biggest problems I’ve experienced are:Figma Design, Prototype and Figma Make feel disconnected. It is not obvious how to return to the same Make/AI workspace I was using previously. Similar project cards make it unclear which file is the real working project. Navigation changes depending on which part of Figma you are in. Important controls are hidden or difficult to discover. I regularly spend time trying to find my own project instead of working on it.A user should be able to open Figma, see their active project immediately, clic
