HelloI have a business problem for Figma:My team want to find a Figma Side Menu structure. We want to have a title for a Component Set - Say fist part might be FORM FIELDS -  ( then we will need 5 different company files to access the version of FORM FIELDS that is correct for their use. We will make the correct components for each dept to use and find here. Am providing something I made with a Section…..but really wonder is there a sample Fig File someone has to make what I need be better and simple for use. thanks: Daryl

Hey Figma team/community,I've just started using the new Figma Slides and was really excited to convert our whole company over to it, but I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to present my slides on mobile without all the UI stuff getting in the way. This feels like it should be super basic, but I can't find a clean presentation mode for mobile anywhere. Here's what I've tried: Browser on mobile: The navigation bar is always there. Can't get rid of it. (I’ve tried “Hide Toolbar” option from the Safari menu, however it still displays the url and black and white columns either side and still looks messy) Mobile app: Here I can go fullscreen which is great, BUT there's this checkerboard pattern on the sides (like when you see transparency in design apps). I can’t have it look like this during presentations. If this was just black, it'd be perfect. Am I missing a background color setting somewhere? iPad app: Same checkerboard issue, plus I can't hide the top bar of the app. Fig

For some reason, on the Figma Desktop App, when you search for a resource on the community tab and you find something that you wanna save for later, for some reason, when you click on it and the modal pops up, the “Save” (flag icon) button is not present.HOWEVER, when you click on that little chain icon to copy the resource item link and paste it on the browser, the page that loads up is not resource page inside a modal. It’s like a full page of it, and the save button is present.That’s the only way I found to save resources in your profile for later. Am I doing something wrong or is it really a UI error?

Hello, I was wondering why I can't  find my figma account - [redacted PII]. I tried to log in and I realized I forgot my password. So I clicked to reset password and in my email there was no link or anything about figma. Do you know why?

Can I use an account with figma dev access in multiple devices? Is there any device limit for that?

I’m trying to create an icon component with an indicator (like a dot or badge), but I want to avoid making separate variants for each icon just to show or hide the indicator. Ideally, I’m looking for a simple, reusable setup — maybe using a frame or wrapper. One more thing: when I add the icon (with a color set via a variable) into another component, the color doesn’t inherit as expected — it keeps the original value instead of adapting to the parent context. For context: I’m using icons from a shared library. All icons follow a consistent structure — same layer naming and default color (not linked to any style). Colors are assigned through design tokens at the component level, not directly within the icons themselves. Has anyone found a clean solution for this kind of setup? 

Hi fellas, by default "Shift + Left / Right Arrow" will create 10 pixel spacing. How can I change it to 8 Pixel

I can’t reduce the size of the toolbar, it is taking up too much space on my screen. I’m accessing online.

After setup of a new laptop i cannot access my file anymore. (  )It says “Request access to file” I went through your checklist:Make sure you're logged into the correct account. → did that Check if you’ve accepted the invitation to view or edit the file under the right account. → did that, i have another account for a different company - this one does not own the file either. Look in your deleted files to see if the file is there. → not there in both accounts Contact the file owner to request access again. → did that, but obviously it does not help as i request access from myself. i dont get any notification either.I would be very thankful for any help.

Hello,My developer pointed out to me that when they view the Figma files in Dev mode, the font information only shows this: color: var(--rgb-353132, #231F20);font-family: "New Science";font-size: 24px;font-style: normal;font-weight: 700;line-height: 30px; /* 125% */ Does anyone know why the dev mode doesn’t showcase if the font is extended, or condensed, etc? 

I’m working in Figma (v125.4.9) and have duplicated both a UI file (UI) and its linked styleguide (SG) to create new versions: UI-V2 and SG-V2.I updated UI-V2 so it links to SG-V2 instead of the original SG. I used the “Swap library” functionality to remap all styles and components from the old library to the new one. I then removed the original styleguide (SG) from the file via Manage Libraries > Remove.Here’s the issue:When I make changes to SG and publish them, those changes still show up as updates in UI-V2, even though:• SG is no longer listed under “Libraries added to this file”• It’s also not listed under “Libraries used in this file”• I successfully swapped all styles to SG-V2 and removed the old one Yet updates from SG continue to appear in UI-V2. Why is this happening? How can I fully disconnect or purge all hidden links to the original styleguide? Any insight or solutions would be appreciated!

There are bugs in the Figma prototype that cause it to frequently malfunction. We often have to reload the prototype to trigger click events properly, and comments sometimes appear in incorrect or inconsistent positions.

Hi, I reloaded Figma and suddenly don’t have access to any of my own files 

Has anyone figured this one out? I’ve found the related article, but still was unsure of how to get that arrow on the left of the pages?  

Hi, First, thanks for adding curved arrows to FigJam—this feature really improves board readability in certain layouts!However, the arrow ends sometimes appear off depending on their start and end points. Often, they don’t align perpendicularly with the target object (see attached images). As you can see on the pictures, the arrowheads look reversed as to how it should be depending if it is connected to the top or side of an object. It would be much better if the arrowheads always stay perpendicular to the edge of the connected object. Please consider this improvement 🙇🤔 🙃 

How can I delete an annotation when using only a macbook keyboard? Backspace doesn’t work as is mentioned in documentation pages

Hi everyone,We're on the Figma Organization plan, and suddenly all our custom fonts are gone—both the ones we installed manually and those synced via services like Adobe Fonts. Figma now shows a message saying "No fonts installed by you", which is blocking our work.This issue appeared out of nowhere and affects all our team members. Is anyone else experiencing this, or does anyone know what might be causing it and how to fix it?Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I’m having some issues creating a prototype animation in Figma. I want to make a swipeable drawer animation, but the result looks a bit strange: The drawer came out really slow, but my setting is 300ms, please see the video link: swipeable drawer The  instance below has unexpectedly moved to the side.   *Here’s the information of my setting: 

The latest Figma build (125.4.8) is causing severe performance issues across multiple systems, making it frustrating to work on even moderately complex files. On macOS (Intel MacBook Pro 2019, i9, 32GB RAM): Extremely laggy interactions (delayed selection, slow rendering, unresponsive tools). Sometimes running into High CPU usage even with simple vector edits. Issue persists after a fresh macOS reinstall, ruling out system clutter. Kills the creative workflow due to constant freezing/stuttering. On Windows (8th Gen Intel i7, 16GB RAM, SSD): Slightly better than macOS but still noticeably sluggish. Frame drops while zooming/panning, delays in plugin execution. Both systems meet Figma’s recommended specs, yet performance is worse than previous builds. Is this a regression in rendering efficiency? Are others facing similar slowdowns?Temporary fixes tried (no success): Disabling hardware acceleration. Clearing cache/reinstalling Figma. Using Figma in a bro

Hi everyone,I’m having an issue with image fills in Figma — whenever I try to switch the Fill mode from “Fill” to “Crop”, it doesn’t work. The dropdown lets me click “Crop,” but it immediately switches back to “Fill,” and no crop handles appear on the canvas.Here’s what I’ve tried: Selected a regular rectangle and applied an image fill. Attempted to switch the Fill mode to “Crop” (doesn’t stick). Made sure I’m not inside a component instance or group. Checked for multiple fills — only one is applied. Tried in both the browser and the desktop app. Refreshed the browser and restarted Figma. Tried with a brand new file — same issue. This used to work fine before, so I’m not sure if it’s a bug, a corrupted setting, or something I’m missing.Has anyone faced this before? Any ideas on how to fix it? 

I can't delete any text in Figjam using Google keyboard on Android tablet, if I connect a physical keyboard the backspace on keyboard works or if I'm writing a text in a input field like the one we use for looking a plug-in, in this input text the Google keyboard backspace works. It only doesn't works inside the whiteboard.

I have created a component set with multiple frames. Frame 1 has an input field which I connected in frame 2 where a keyboard slides up. I was able to choose “change to” and select “slide in”. It worked great. When I tried doing the same thing for another component set the slide in option was disabled. Why?? 

So I’m creating a stop animation with images in figma. And I’ve selected all my components and I want to create a variant set. But I cannot see the option for this. Has it been removed or changed?
