When I try to share the Figma Make file I get these exclamation icons next to the can edit dropdown menu and it says an admin must update this seat so they can edit but I added one of the people who have the exclamation icons next to their permissions to my team? And we’re all on educational accounts and I really need to be able to collaborate on the website we made to do our final T_T please help

Hey @Sara Stewart, welcome to the Figma Forum, and thanks for your interest in Figma Make! Appreciate you sharing the screenshot and keeping personal information safe — a few things could be going on here.

Do you know what type of institutions the editors you invited verified with? Just to clarify:

  • Figma Make access is currently available for higher education or bootcamp Education users, but not for K–12 users.
  • Each Education user can also publish one Site file that they created.

You can find more details here: Figma for Education → Feature availability.

If that doesn’t clear up what you’re seeing, I’d recommend sharing the file with our Product Support team (this will not impact the access issues you’ve noted above). They can take a closer look into the account’s settings and confirm the next steps.

Hi Tom, thanks so much for the quick reply!

All the users in our project are currently using advanced Education accounts, as we all attend the same university. The publishing limit is not currently affecting the project, as this is the only site file I have published on my account.

Given the fact that none of these factors that can cause the issue seem to be applied here, I think I’m going to go ahead and share the file with Product Support.

Thank you so much,

Sara
