Coming from Sketch I can copy text with an attached text style from a document and paste it in my new sketch document and its included there. In Figma when I try to copy/paste text styles from a Figma UI Kit into my document they don’t show up as part of that document unless I add the library they came from. Is there a way round this?

Hi! Similar to the experience of some fellow Figma users as written here: My drafts just disappeared today my drafts just disappeared, without having the “Drafts to move” section… I would reply within that topic but it’s locked. What should I do, how can I recover the drafts?

When I try to publish a Figma Slides template, I get this message: “Something went wrong while publishing. Refresh the page and try again.” I’ve restarted Figma and have re-tried a number of times. Can you suggest anything? Thanks

Can you hide an entire mode column in the variables table from publishing? we have a theme that is not ready to be release but are working on it and don’t want to have designers accessing it yet.

Has anyone come across a tutorial or know how to prototype a video progress bar similar to Netflix or Youtube, where dragging the bar shows an image preview of the video and as you drag the image changes to a preview matching the video time stamp? I’m looking for ideas on creating an interactive slider that displays images as you drag. I’ve found tutorials on sliders with changing numbers, but nothing so far that incorporates image previews. Any suggestions? Thanks!

how do you reset the Frame counter in Figma? A design agency delivered overwhelmingly complex files without changing frame names and it’s super annoying

I have a button composant with many props and variations. And the order of those are very important for my workflow. Inside my UI kit, the order is sets in a particular order, like this. But wheb I published it and upload all my assets, the order is still eratic. I closed my soft, even restart my computer, but the pb still remains.

Hi there, I have an issue with a gradient which is connected to tokens on the one hand, but on the other hand, it’s not visible in Dev Mode. It should be a white (A) to transparent (B) gradient. Gradient in the file (tokenised): A: “White Token” to B: “Transparent Token” But in Dev Mode: A: #fff to B: #fff Cheers! PS: I can’t attach screenshots.

New to Figma, system is requesting verification

So I’ve got a tab navigation bar which has horizontal scroll on and I have interactions where selecting a specific tab makes the bar scroll to the selected tab and change screens. However, in the prototype, if you scroll and then press a tab, the scroll position keeps moving in the direction of the previous scroll, leaving a obvious empty space, which shouldn’t be there and if try scrolling will remove it. What I want is to just have the bar scroll to the set position without leaving the empty space. If I enable “reset scroll position” the end result is what I want, but it instead of leaving empty space, it makes the tabs jump and it just looks buggy. Hi folks. I stumbled upon a simple Dialog open behavior. If I use a component with “WhilePressing” visual effect (like e.g. background dimming), then both onTap and onTouchUp actions won’t cancel the effect. Working on the desktop app, I have resized the UI and made it smaller by mistake. In the online documentation there are the following shortcuts that do not work because I have an Italian keyboard, where 0 and = are on the same key. I cannot change them, since Figma does not support personalising shortcuts. Reset to Default: CtrlShiftAlt0 Make Larger: CtrlShiftAlt= Also the documentation states that in the View panel there should be a function to resize the UI, but there isn’t as you can see in this screenshot.

When we can expect the avaialbility of that the new Ai feature, that helps to create designs in a given prompt ?

I am aware that currently when swapping libraries it does not work on variables, but somehow when I swapped libraries, some of the color variables reassigned to the new library variables. So now I have components color variables mixed with the original library and the swapped one. How is this possible? I thought the swapped components variables will remain linked to the original library. Does anyone have similar experience?

Hi All, We were waiting for a couple of months (years?) until the branching functionality supported combining a design file + library in 1 branch. We at the time saw no way to use branching otherwise (most if not all assets and colors sit in a library, not in the design file). Has this been fixed/changed in the meantime? Or is this still a no-go? A dumb question perhaps, but how do people work around this? I can’t see anybody that uses libraries using the branches until this is fixed. B

When toggling visibility of frames, it seems Figma forgets to update the eye icon: In this record, you can see the “+” icon on the canvas toggling, but the eye icon doesn’t switch between the open/closed eye. As you can see, it happens with frames only - I toggled the visibility of another layer in this recording, where you can see the open/closed eye switching. It’s a small, cosmetic bug, but it’s quite confusing if the layer you’re toggling isn’t in the viewport at the moment.

Is this typical behaviour: I can’t get the Form templates (opening Weavely window where you select Email form) back on the first page I used it on (my Contact page). I’ve got a component that uses a background image as part of it. I’ve just added a mask below the image so I can crop the image within each instance of the component. However after checking the instances in the main file, I notice that the squares that you would grab to resize an image dont appear in the instances when I highlight that layer. Of course if I detach the instance, then they appear and I can resize the image just fine, But I’d like to keep the connection to the main component if possible. Is there a way to set this up so it works how I’d like? Or is it impossible right now?

Hi everyone, Does anyone know why Figma doesn’t animate strokes/borders? If I have a button which has a stroke, and on HOVER the stroke color changes, Figma will not animate it, instead it will make a weird jumpy transition that look terrible. Thanks 🙂

I have set up dark and light modes in the variables. in the light mode, the text has a fill: brand/default/text-brand with green color. dark mode is the same variable with different value - white. when I apply dark variable mode to the button, the text fill does not change

Somehow my color variables are hidden in the publish, i’ve checked and they have the hidden checkbox unchecked so i dont understand why this is happenig!
