I was trying to delete a text style in Figma slides, and couldn’t figure it out at all. Until I accidentally move the popover to discover there’s actually two popover. The one on top is covering the one on the bottom with the delete button. Figma, you might want to fix this, seems like a glaring bug.

PLease stop moving most commonly used buttons to new places all the time!It isvery bad us practise, each time I need to spend time to learn where I can find an options that was moved or has a new look, like whith this auto layout flow buttons, which where presented as a dropdown before. Very subtle and unexpected change.

How to recover my figma slide files

Hey everyone—I’m working on a Figma plugin that helps with Arabic and English interfaces. One issue I keep running into: I can’t figure out how to detect or set the text direction (like right-to-left for Arabic). The plugin API doesn’t seem to have anything like textDirection, and I’ve tried checking the characters in the text manually, but it’s messy—especially when the text mixes Arabic and English, or has numbers and punctuation. I just want to know if there's any way, even a workaround, to know whether a text node is RTL or LTR, and ideally control it from the plugin. Has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks inadvance!

Noobie here but I’ve looked at all the forums and videos on this. NOT talking about the UI hide which seems to work in hiding the BOTTOM icon bar. I was using the LEFT sidebar which contains icons in for process planning etc. I hid it and now it is gone in both online and app versions. NOT fixed de clearing cache OR by using view UI  

I had a component named "Button" I made some drastic changes to it not realizing that it was used a lot throughout our designs, and my changes will probably affect the existing designs Didn't publish any changes to the library yet So I renamed the component to "Button new", and copy pasted the old unchanged version of that component from the version history, called "Button" Now if I publish the changes, will it break all my instances of "Button", or will they remain intact and I will simply have a new component of "Button new?

Hi, I am triying Figma sites, I have a question I am not able to visualize fonts installed by me, just Google Fonts, is this normal? is a bug? I cant read anywhere about this issue.

Since last few updates i notices that Corner radius and Opacity in Appearance section does not work with mouse slide.

Hi!I have always used the free version of Figma and had no problem giving other people editing rights and collaborating on projects.Recently, I bought the pro plan to access dev mode. Now I don’t seem to be able to give anyone editing rights without paying for their seat.Is it true that as a pro user I can’t have people editing my file without paying for an extra seat? Hi! I saw a prototype where clicking on a circle inside an Auto Layout made it expand horizontally, and the other elements next to it were pushed automatically — no frames, no manual resizing. Hi everyone,I have not used Figma in quite some times, and I am becoming so mad for something that is so basic… I just need help with that because I am obviously missing something here. I just want to have a component constiting of a simple button, with only a label in it. No icon, no variants with different sizes. I want this button to be resized automatically with the lentgh of the label, but from the center, NOT from left to right. And that is where I am lost.Here is what I do right now:I create my text I add an auto layout This creates a frame to which I add a fill I set my text to “Align center” I set my auto layout to “Align center” Everything is set to “Hug Content”How can I set it to be resized from the center, and not from left to right? The only workaround I have in mind, is to put this Button (text + auto layout frame) into another bigger frame, set to “cente

Hey, now that Figma Sites is available to use; I wanted to know if there are any plugins or tools or methods to fetch live external data through APIs into Figma designs?Or atleast I want two way sync between any database and figma. The database can be any tool like Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable. The data should sync from both ways.

I use Figma in browser (Chrome 136) on Windows 11 23H2. Recently I’m experiencing missing fonts in design files, yet the missing fonts are installed and usable on my computer. The settings panel insists that I have not installed FigmaAgent, but I have. Reinstalling FigmaAgent does not solve the problem.The problem does not always manifest itself. It sometimes goes away after a reboot.Other topics in this forum suggests that figma_agent.exe might have not been started. That’s not the case. The program is properly configured to run on startup, and I can see it in Task Manager.However, in Resource Monitor, I see no program listening port 44950. Apparently figma_agent.exe somehow failed to bind the port, but there is no diagnostics because it is a GUI program and does not output anything with OutputDebugString. I’m on a tight budget, so I can only use the free plan. Can I still share a link to my prototype for people to only view it on the free plan? I only need people to use the prototype to see how my project works. I didn’t see on the free plan account about sharing prototypes because the website that leads to the plan information is not working properly.
