Figma Make crashing in multiple places

I have been using figma make for over 2 months now, and it had been working great. But in the last 2 days, I am seeing random issues in rendering and crashes in the preview app.

For example, my app has a few buttons in the top right (for messaging, notifications, user switcher). Until 3 days ago, these buttons were working fine. but since the last two days, every now and then, the buttons load up as pre-selected, and when I click on them the app freezes (see attached screenshot).

I am seeing similar behaviour in other places in the app as well. Reverting to older versions that were previously working has not helped - makes me think that the issue is in some new release of Figma make. 

Additional context: I am upto version 554 in this app. I wonder whether that has something to do with these recent issues as well.
 

Has anyone else seen similar issues? Any suggestions on what to do to address these issues?

Thanks for flagging this. I understand you were experiencing rendering issues and crashes in the preview app in Make.

We’ve just pushed an update that should resolve this. Please refresh your Make files and let us know if you’re still seeing any issues.

I can also see that you’ve reached out to our Support team via ticket #1792522 — the team will continue following up with you there if any further investigation is needed.

thank you Celyn. However - I do not think this has been addressed. For example - I just created a brand new very simple app using figma make with one single prompt (no iterations). I am seeing the same issue there. If I download the code and run the app locally, it runs fine. Its only when I preview in figma that these crashes happen.

 

Can i send you detailed console logs to review and figure out the error?

Hey ​@Vikas Khandelwal — thanks for following up, and I’m sorry to hear you’re still running into issues.

I can see that a specialist has already followed up with you via ticket #1792522. When you get a chance, please reply directly to that email thread — and yes, it would be very helpful if you could include the detailed console logs there. That’ll give the team more context to investigate what’s happening in preview specifically.

i have given relevant information to the support specialist. For what it is worth, the issue I am having seems to be related to Figma’s implementation of Radix dropdowns as mentioned in this Reddit thread as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/FigmaDesign/comments/1rsms5b/figma_make_dropdowns_cause_crashes/
The issue is so basic that anyone can repro this by building even a simple “Hello World” app in figma make with some usage of a dropdown control. I hope you guys fix it soon.
