Hello We're working on a third-party app that uses Figma's REST API. Our app needs to support both Enterprise and non-Enterprise users. For Enterprise users, we want to enable variable imports (which requires the file_variables:read scope). However, when we include this scope in our OAuth request (along with file_content:read and current_user:read), non-Enterprise users face an error on Figma's OAuth authorization page (https://www.figma.com/oauth?client_id...){ "error": true, "status": 400, "message": "scope file_variables:read is only allowed for Enterprise users", "i18n": null}Since this error occurs on Figma's page before the callback to our app, we can't handle it on our end. This blocks non-Enterprise users from signing in at all. We've looked at the /v1/me endpoint but don't see plan info there. Is there a way to detect if a user is Enterprise, or what's the recommended way to support both Enterprise and non-Enterprise users in the same app? Thanks!

Hi all! I’m having a hard time creating a responsive navigation bar to my Figma Sites. My navbar is currently set it fixed so it moves with scrolling.  I Have a parent frame that is auto-layout and inside it other frame containing navlinks.  I would like the navbar’s weight to be filled to page, but whenever I go to dropdown menu, it only gives me options for fixed weight and hug.  If I try to adjust the weight manually, it goes off-centered in every breakpoint. Can someone help me?

I have a lot of system files, and I want to make a flowchart. Do you know a way to do that out of the files?

I’m a developer that was just given dev mode access to my company’s library.  When I execute `figma connect` I get this error: Failed to fetch components from Figma (403): 403 Invalid scope(s): Please ensure that you have selected both the File Read scope and the Code Connect Write scope when generating the token. In the Getting started with Code Connect article it mentions this:Generate a personal access token with the Code Connect scope set to Write and the File content scope set to Read-only. However, this is not one of the scopes that are available to me when I create a personal access token.  This happens even when I give all my available scopes the highest privileges. Does anyone know what I am missing here?  Does my organization need to do something to have this scope show up here?  

Your preferred way of using Figma with remote teammates so collaboration is smooth and productive.

This seems simple but i can't seem to figure it out at all, i've tried booleans, strings, and number variables but they all didn't work. I might have done it wrong I'm not sure but please help. I just want the slider to trigger and match the red square variants when you drag it to the right position.

I'm trying to apply for the Figma Education Plan but I'm stuck at the SheerID verification step. The problem is that my university does not provide students with an official university email address. We use our personal email addresses for all academic communication. Because of this, I can’t pass the automatic verification process.I'm ready to provide proof of my student status in other ways, such as a photo of my student ID card or a screenshot from the student portal with my details. Has anyone else from a similar university encountered this problem? How did you resolve it? Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I have a collection that uses a number scale 0 to 80 plus 9999 (rounded) and in my themes collection I have numbers for things like button radius or stroke width and I have created those variables, e.g. button-radius and in theme one its using a semantic radius-md (8px) and in theme 2 (radius-round (9999px). The varibable is assigned to the button component but when looking at the variable in the radius menu it says the value is 0 not 8 or 9999?  Any ideas why this is?

We are embedding some short video loops into a Figma Slides presentation and noticed that they do not play immediately on transition. There is a ½ second or so delay before they play. Is there a way around this?

Hi everyone 👋,I’m working on a custom web builder that allows users to import their own Figma designs.The flow looks like this: User authenticates via Figma OAuth (we store the access token). We fetch the file’s JSON data via the Figma REST API. We’d like to send this JSON to an external conversion service (e.g., Anima API or similar) that returns clean HTML/CSS code. Finally, the generated code will be loaded into our in-house editor for further customization. I have two questions: Does Figma provide any official or recommended method, SDK, or partner service for programmatically converting Figma JSON (nodes) to HTML/CSS? Are there any limitations in the API (for example, with Free accounts) that might prevent us from performing this kind of workflow? Any documentation, examples, or guidance would be highly appreciated 🙏Thanks in advance! 

Hey!I’m trying to create a dynamic component where I could adjust the amount of the tiles where three of them is the max in the horizontal aspect and infinite or max three/four rows in vertical aspect.Can anyone advise me step by step how can I achieve the desired effect?I know I could create a set of components for each of the section and then manually adjust the amount of the tiles in the component but… that’s not so pro in my opinion. I want to be able to add/remove the tiles starting with one row and one tile and depending on the situation just add one more or remove if needed. This is what I have currently created but I guess I’m missing some variables or whatever, tried multiple options with autolayouts etc… I’m going nuts. 

Are there any resources for accordion menu templates or step-by-step guides for figma sites? I’ve found a few for other figma platforms but for some reason I’m struggling getting them to work well on sites.I’m particularly interested in an expandable menu in which the text can be formatted in columns (or, alternatively, the option to create multiple text boxes with Autolayout within the expandable menu).Thank you! 

Has anyone had issues with a font truncating to an ellipsis with 2 dots vs. 3 dots? is there a way to fix that as it’s really throwing my client off even though we’ve tested the font in a web browser and it displays properly there - just not in Figma prototypes.

Hey everyone,I’m running into an issue with component resizing in Figma. I’ve set constraints on child elements (e.g., left & right for buttons inside a container), but when I resize the main component, the elements don’t behave as expected. Sometimes they overlap, and other times they don’t scale proportionally.I’ve checked: Auto layout settings (both fixed and fill options) Whether the frame is set to "hug contents" or "fixed width" Nested component constraints Has anyone else faced this? Any tips on getting constraints to behave properly when resizing?Thanks in advance!

Hi All!I keep having this issue, where mode palette shows info icon that means that some variable(s) somewhere are causing some issue. The design system I manage has a lot of variables and styles ( tokens ) and tons of component files. I went through all the files already, updating and publishing everything. Still the alert persist. Visually I can’t tell if the issue is causing some components to not update properly, and no errors were detected during the long, manual process of updating and publishing all the components. Is there a way to see where the issue is exactly? Is Figma planning to release some sort of better detection for conflicting variables?

Hi everyone, I’ve built a design system documentation using Figma Sites. Everything works well except for one issue: when I scroll through the sidebar and click on an item that links to another page, the sidebar resets to the top, since it is in that state in all other pages. Is there any way to preserve the sidebar’s scroll position when navigating between pages? (I came up with a workaround, but it's not ideal: I put all sections into a single page, so clicking an item scrolls to the connected section instead of going to another page. This preserves the sidebar position, but with over 100 sections, the site becomes slow) Would appreciate any solutions.

Hi, I’m having trouble with the dropdown menu overlapping other elements on my page. I looked at another thread that had the same issue and it had something to do with the layering, which doesn’t make sense as the whole frame is on top. And I’m also trying to figure out why every time I press an option, all 3 of my dropdowns go to the selected options as opposed to 3 separate options. I understand that this is a variable problem, but I’m a bit stuck. I have one variable for the state (expanded, default), one for the category (industry, visual type, subject), and I believe I need one more so that each selection stays within its corresponding category after picking an option.  

I have already tried using the chat feature and submitted a ticket a while ago but still haven’t received a reply.So in September I bought a single Collab seat to add mp4 files to my Figma Slides. $5. That was literally the only reason I got it. (When I contacted the Support, they told me it’s possible to only buy a single Collab seat (without purchasing the whole Professional plan) so I did that.) I canceled it before it renewed.I got charged for the Professional Plan ($11.50) and it doesn’t make sense? The only other thing I did was give viewer access (just draft files) to my other personal accounts on Figma (so there are 3 viewer seats). NO edit access. I checked the settings, and it shows I’m on the free plan, and there’s no cancel button. But I got charged for the Professional plan, and I have no idea what’s going on.I have NEVER received an email/notification from Figma that my plan got upgraded to the Professional Plan in October.
